I saw Diz at the "Long John Silver" pub in Sand Bay, near Weston-super-Mare in 1970 and he was absolutely amazing. I play the guitar but will never reach his standard. Nice to hear him again on you tube - memories come back of Wadworths bitter and excellent guitar!
Diz seems to be best remembered for his brilliance as a jazz guitarist, but I loved his comedy as well and it's a joy to hear him again. The way in which he accompanied songs such as these always amazed me. The average folk club performer would play songs such as these using four or five chords at the most, but it seemed as if Diz played a different chord for almost every note. He was hilarious...and mesmerising. Many thanks for posting this.

Well, what a surprise, as that's me on bass!
Actually, this is from 1971 ish, as I didn't start working with Diz until late 70.
I owe him everything as he started me out in both the folk and jazz worlds. Just listen to the genius guitar playing...and my odd bum notes....
Happy days -many thanks for everything, Diz!
