I have to say that by his actions...Adolf Hitler effectively excommunicated himself from the Roman Catholic Church...so he may have been Roman Catholic by virtue of his baptism earlier in his life...but the moment he started conceiving the evil thoughts and acting on them through genocide...he stopped belonging to the church as a true follower.

One can believe in a creator or a God without a religion. Spirituality does not need religion. My interest in consciousness and self awareness has led me to believe that there may well be a grand designer of our known universe, and to believe that there is not, is very presumptuous considering our huge lack of knowledge of what's behind the universe and how it came to be. We are like ants, my friend. We know almost nothing about our universe, or reality for that matter. Atheism is a religion.

@CraigTube Atheism cannot be classified as a religion since the definition of religion is, in a nutshell, the belief in a supernatural being. Theism and ATheism are total opposits. Atheism is a belief system that does not incorporate a supreme being into its rational. The purpose of Theism is the total opposit.
