This song was an instant classic referral to feeling good for the soul when I felt like I hadn't accomplished much of anything. It's been my "pick me up" song for nearly 25 years! I loved it then and I love it now. This is what you get when you apply two talented voices together and a simple message. Pure perfection!

Well yeah, you're right, it's cringeworthy by today's standards, but I give it a pass as a victim of its times, ie in light of the production values of most other videos of its time. Sure, Kate's a little melodramatic and theatrical, and the "turntable" thing is a little cheesy, but the emotional involvement is great, and Gabriel in the video, admit it, he's all you could want, restrained but fully involved, passionate yet proud. And that frickin' falsetto he hits is goosebump material.

Great song by two of the best; Peter took on the world with So while Kate did teh same also at some time. This is astonishingly mature and kool video. If you don't get it, you don't get it. If you don't get it, liking this vid, wish I could say I miss you, but then again, you may've never been her. This is one of the Best of All Time

There is nothing more beautiful and timely. True love and support. This is love. Not taking: giving, holding, being present, unconditionally. How wonderful to see male honesty devoid of ego and shame. The sweet soprano bird of Truth and acceptance: this is what will change our world. @MrMamatis Thank you. I couldn't agree more. Where did all the love go? There is nothing remotely akin to this quality currently. The lack of artifice, the emotional purity, the honesty. In the same measure, the simplicity and authenticity of the music video's direction amplifies the sentiments expressed in the lyrics and performance. So timely. A tender coaxing towards community as healing.

I just want to say that I grew up with this song. It has saved my life many times. To this day, whenever I get really fed up with the cold, hurtful people on this planet and am my wit's end with all the hate and loneliness.....when I want to give up.... this song heals my heart and gives me hope. Check out Kate's blatant hand gesture at 1:07 to 1:15. This song is totally creepy and dark....and not a cool kind of dark. Kate Bush probably has reptilian DNA.. bwaaahhhahahaha!!! .Peter Gabriel is just another manufactured artist who has been bought an paid for...just like the rest of them. And don't tell me I am trolling people....it is known as freedom of speech and I just felt like exercising it this evening. If this song saved someone's life, I am happy for you, really. Ciao
