The Marathon flies fine normal aerobatics with the PSE26 and also with a OS 120 Surpass III. If you want to hover, you need a bigger and more powerful engine.
The aeroplane can be used for 3D. The engine I have chosen, are NOT powerfull enough to do 3D, but can do nice normal aerobatics. To do 3D with the model, I would think, you should go for a 30ccm 2-stroke methanol engine.
Well, that's fine. So does Canada but the majority of retired, well off, potential customers (baby boomers) in the US and Canada are not metric proficient. If the makers and distributors want to be snobs about their metric savy, so be it. And so be it that they have no respect for their largest market.
This has nothing to do with being a snob. Inches are old fashioned and vertually obsolete in a modern dynamic world. We also speak more than one language..;o)
Well, that's more snobbery. Those of us born in the 50s and late 40s in North America had no need and no way to practice more than one language. We were also raised with the Imperial system of measurement.
With a little education, you would realize that we get hard wired at an early age. The parents of immigrants, Chinese for instance, find it virtually impossible to correctly pronounce the "R" as in "Flied Lice" while their offspring, raised in English, have no trouble at all.
Again, nothing just near snobbery. It is arrogant to think other nations people must learn your native language. It is very impolite not even to try, to learn other nations language. Could it be, the english speaking people not have the ability to learn?
I speak Danish, try and learn that as I have learned to speak yours. I also speak 2 more languages.
I am born in the early 50s....my learned freind..;-)
I wonder if the people selling these products are aware that we, their largest customers, are NOT familiar with metric? Maybe they could do the conversions and post those so that we don't have to scramble to do the math or just move along because it's such a pain in the ass????
does this plane do 3d good?

Nice plane, I think you are right about needing more power to do some advanced maneuvers.

Hejsa.
