  • i would get this game but have wow and bro wont give it up for this hes got 80

  • how u get a house i level like 9 and i have had a level 19 till last years account expired i've been doing free trials but now i have bought the game so how i get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To own a house, you have to have a full game account that has at least one character level 15 or above. You have to visit the housing vendor with this level 15 character and purchase your home.

  • Yes i get that and i getting a full account this christmas but wat i want to kno is how in the world or i mean where in the world do i go i on the vilya server and i need help!!!

  • Its a bit difficult to describe where they are in the space of 500 characters. The best thing you could do is ask your fellow players on the forums or look for a guide =]

  • I know that lotro has great new songs, but do you get songs from the film on it too like the one that you have?

  • There are some variations, but it is mostly completely new music. You can, of course, play the music from the films using the player music system.

  • Is there a hood costume peice? If so, where and how much?

  • I'm not aware of any cosmetic hoods on their own. They're all attached to cloaks lol

  • How about a cosmetic cloak with a hood attatched to it?

  • As mentioned above, there are several cloaks available that have hoods.

  • I now play, and yes, I did find one, thanks :D I am on Arkenstone. Elf Warden named Specever

  • And also, what realm/server are you on?

  • Eldar

  • Does housing come with the REGULAR game or an expansion?

  • Player housing was released in October 2007 as part of Volume 1 Book 11. Any player can buy a house as long as they have a full game account (rather than the trial) and the character that they are using to purchase the house is at least level 15. The expansion is not at all necessary to buy a house :)

  • That's a releif... Hey, is there a hood costume peice?

  • I love the lotro game and the lore behind it, But I can't decide if I wanna resub to it because I find you level up to slow In it and it takes months just to get to lvl 40. And money Is so hard to get. My brother never got his mount untill 45 then when he bought it he had like 5 silver.

  • The xp curve is being changed in an update that is going to be released very soon. According to the notes, it will make it easier to level up to 40.

As for the money, which server are you on? Economies differ between each server, so you might want to try a different one.

A tip about how to save for a mount: never repair any items unless they are red and sell any items that are useless, particularly quest rewards that are worse than your current items.

  • I have been playing windfolia, I been playin it since the game came out, but I have been playing on and off.

  • Oh I see. I'm not aware of the US server economies. I could give you more guidance if you were on an EU server. As second class citizens to Turbine, we have to struggle through and find our own solutions :P

  • Seems the EU servers are more mature, I wish I could join one, Is there a way to join them from Canada?

  • You could purchase a digital download from the Codemasters Online Store. I think its possible. The only problem would be the occasional drop in activity due to the time difference. However, most people raid late into the night so that would be rare.

Obviously, you'd have to start new characters as its a completely new set of servers, but we tend to get less bugs as they are ironed out on the US servers before they reach us. I'll be glad to help you out if you encounter any problems =]

  • thats a big, scary stuffed warg u got over there

  • The big houses are very roomy, can you fill them more?

  • At the moment, the decoration system uses hooks that can't be moved. Each house has a set amount of hooks depending on the size. Decorations can be placed onto the hooks and rotated to your preferred position.

The Developers have informed us that they are working on a free-placing system (similar to the square system on the Sims). Hopefully, we will get this in the near future.

  • I could do with the sim-sort-of-housing. I bought a ton of stuff for my house and had to sell them all. But the chandilier I bought I sold for a lot of money xD.

  • ive only got a cheap cardboard box outside bree:( I've always sucked at farming xD

    -Tagaschi (EN Eldar)

  • xD that joke made my day!

  • Just saying my house does NOT look like that anymore!!

    i have a bree deluxe : )

  • Cool i cant wait to get this game!!!

  • Me, I play Lotro.. But i don't play with hobbits.. To me hobbits are weaklings at fighting, and not that into fighting lol.. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against hobbits, but i prefer races such as men, stronger than elves, dwarves, and hobbits. I still think they should make a permanent character of an orc so the pvp is cooler lol

  • This isn't about the race, its about the housing of the race :P

Out of interest, what is your favourite class?

  • lol thats what makes it so cool about hobiits fighting theres like only a handfull who can which makes it cool lol

  • blue and purple walls?!?!?

    nice video :D

  • This game look so AWESOME i thing i am going to stop play wow i thing this game is better but not sure

  • LOTRO appealed to me more than WoW because of the mature style of gameplay. The game is a lot more social than WoW and I can honestly say I haven't seen any childish behaviour in-game for around 10 months. People on LOTRO are kind and always generous. So, if you would like to leave the childish atmosphere of WoW behind, download the free trial :) However, be careful to download the right one. There is some confusion between the US and EU trial downloads...

  • Love this game! Played wow to and lotro is a huge improvment. I play ultra high (=

  • i like lotro even more, too as i'm a fan, read all the tolkien's books and stuff, and i really love the whole story that game is based on

  • I played wow for about 4 months i got bored... played lotro for 8 months still fun... sure its boring like with boring quests but you get by em

  • For me, LOTRO is more interesting as I am a fan of the books and movies. This is the case with many other people that have experienced this fantastic new game.

  • Hey, just wondering how high i could run this game on.. Q6600 Quad Core, 2.4ghz... 4gig ram 8800GT?, the graphics look awesome and just making sure i can run it before i buy it :D

  • Your system seems to have the correct spec. You could probably run the game on high, if not the highest settings.

  • how much do houses cost. Im playing WoW atm moment but houses in Lotro is drawing my in lol

  • They don't cost that much. The price changes depending on the size of the house; regular is around 1G, deluxe is around 7G and kinship is around 15G. You have to be level 15 to have a house and you can only own a kinship house if you have a kinship.

    Hope that helps.

  • how do you get kinship?

  • You collect names on a kinship charter, much like the method on WoW.

  • i'm currently playing WoW and this is sparking my intrest...can you get this for free?

  • A 10 day free trial is available. Like WoW, this game has a monthly fee. I strongly advise you to try LOTRO. I myself have played WoW and can honestly say that LOTRO is an improvement on so many levels.

  • i did, and it lagged really bad...i chose the high res download when i did it though...

  • I have heard that the free trial can take a long time to download. I suggest that you find the system requirements for LOTRO and compare them to your pc. If your pc meets the requirements then try the low res download.

    Hope this helps =D

  • when you buy the game you get it for free for 1 month then you pay is you like it

  • Yep

  • what r u a hobbit or dwarf or elf or man??

  • hobbit guardian

  • hey great vid i was just wondering if you need to buy a gamecard nd the game to play the game.. or u just need to buy the game and u already get 1 month free? so like saying u dont need the gamecard to play 4 the 1st time.??

    thnx

  • When you buy the boxed game, you should get the first month free (check the smallprint on the back of the box to be sure).

As for the game cards, they tend to be quite rare. Occasionally they pop up in stores, but they aren't usually stocked. Paying by card is a much more reliable method :)

  • can i come into the house of my friend

    inside???

    and how does that work

  • Yes. Each house is created in a separate instance that anyone can enter as long as they have permission from the owner.

  • Reminds me of my home in the shire: pretty, peaceful and enjoyable.

  • i love this video, i especially like the 3rd and last house you showed, mstly becuase its my house :), hi halrick!!

  • nice vid, i live in the shire also :P

  • My house does look very similar to yours, apart from the items in it. Who cares though...they look great!

  • Lol brilliant
