  • I just got a 2.5 inch exhaust with a twin loop muffler I gain a lot of power I had the original 93 piping on my swap later on I might get a 3 inch 2.2 liter needs to flow a lot.With a three inch on yours you'll gain some power on top of what you gain already

  • i also have 06 TSX cams which SHOULD get me more power and especially torque, than the type r k20a cams. but i lost power with them. tuner says it must be because my exhaust is too small, it wont open the cams up. most people make power with these cams, and i didnt =/ or maybe the exhaust sie is OK, but it bottlenecks somewhere...im not sure, because even near stock Si's make power with these TSX cams. i mainly got them for the extra torque though.

  • but i was losing power. if you know K-swaps, then you should know the DC header is just a swap header, basically so you can atleast get it running. you cant use the stock one. that killed my power alot, plus my stock exhaust being smaller than the RSX-S exhaust. i then switched to a WS2 exhaust (only 2.36") and made 204whp. i then got a hytech replica header, and made another 10whp over that shitty DC i had. made 215whp (rounded out because of the decimals) with a 3" i could get another 10-12whp

H22's are still slower. it has just a little more torque, but its not enough to make a difference. and plus, they dont get 40-50whp with just bolt-ons and tuning like a K. ive raced many h22 swapped 92-95 civics and all i had at the time was a shitty intake cut in half from my singlecam, and a small DC "swap" header with my stock exhaust. beat a few different H-swapped older civics in my 2000 coupe. raced a couple H2B's also. still beat them, just not as bad.

  • @FuckYouMonkeyNigga a b20 may make less power than a GSR, stock vs stock, but it still has more torque. give the b20 equal power to the GSR, and you will have even more torque. or just give that gsr the b20 bottom end, and it has the power of the GSR with the torque of a b20. its not for cheap people. its for people who know that torque gets you there faster.

    me though., i prefer k20. its more torquey than a b20, and much faster.

  • @illestX240sx obviously. i know all this. what is your point? just because its a 2.0 also, doesnt mean the torque will be the same. i can make 220whp 160tq with my bolt-on k20a2. a b20 with a VTEC head will take stage 2 cams, pistons, I/H/E, intake manifold, ported head, and a tune, and i think some other stuff just to get to 220whp. it will also have around 145-150tq at most. you will also be replacing other parts as well, since b20 VTECS arent known to last long.

  • @joescivic your full of shit lol. Maybe the b20 vtec's you have seen built or built yourself didnt last long, but they are reliable if you build them right. My friend has had his for 7 years still running strong, no problems, and is his daily driver.

  • @marth21 they don't last long. Do some research. You will constantly have to maintain them. Its not as reliable as a motor the way it came from te factory. I'm sure your "friend" either doesn't drive it alot like you say, or he does things to keep it running safely. Everything I've said is correct.

  • @marth21 im not saying they're pieces of shit. im just saying, that they arent THAT reliable when adding a different head or bottom end to it. but it still take plenty of mods for a GSR/b20 to even match a stock k20a2's power at the wheels. and it will only take I/H/E/tuned to makes 220-230whp on the k20, when the b20V will need cams, upgraded valvetrain, ported head, intake manifold, i/H/E/tuned just to get to 220whp, and still have less torque. its not a bad motor though. i just prefer K's now

  • @marth21 my friends car: JDM H22a with T2T4 LSD. skunk2 cam gears, skunk2 stage 2 cams, skunk 2 valvesprings, S2 68mm throttlebody, S2 retainers, header, and 2.5" exhaust, p28 chipped ECU/hondata s200, exedy stage 1 clutch, 8lb flywheel. it made 187whp 153tq on a dynojet. he switched to a hytech rep header, and a 2.5" cat, and made 200/156. stock, my k20a2 makes around 180whp, and with the shitty header i had and intake, was 184whp/148tq. torque difference is much you see? i have more mods now

  • @jackysu123 I like the b18c motor, but i wanted more torque so I built it to a 2.2L with pistons, sleeves, crank, cams, valves, springs, etc... full build. Now it reves to about 8500rpms but delivers 178lb ft of torque NA. Best of both worlds. It rips. I should do a vid...
