  • why would anyone build a pedalboard and put a multi-efx pedal on it! isn't the idea of a multi-efx pedal to do away with the need of a pedalboard? DouCHE! and all you got is a bunch of Boss bullshit pedals, DOUBLE DOUchE!

  • all you need is a 1000 dollars worth of tools and 200 dollars (euros) worth of materials and about 20 spare hours of labor time and voila, a pedal board! fail

  • There's really 5 people who disliked this?

  • do you plug your satchurator straight into that multi effects unit? (:

  • hey which song is it?? btw awesome video

  • spectacular wallpaper!

  • Nice! This concept can be used for instrument and gun cases, too. It's great to see creativity at work instead of purchasing a marketed product.

  • I would just be worried about how well it would protect my gear since you only used a 9mm piece of wood. Maybe if you coated the outside in epoxy after it would be a lot more durable.

  • How much did this cost you total?

  • ok... ^^

  • Where are the f-ing Handles?! Hahahaha!

  • Beautiful!!!.

    Excelent work man!!!

  • WHERE DO YOU BUY THE MATERIAL AT 3:47 LIKE THAT FOAM STUFF? AND HOW MUCH IS IT?

  • I'm sure someone mentioned this already, but you did not add any handles.

  • What language is the flightcase-brico site? How do you change the language? Nice board man!!!

  • @Mattplaysgutr95

It's in dutch, and you can change or translate the page by using google chrome as your browser.

  • thanks man, i been thinkin about making my own pedal board..

goin to check it out now.

  • Nice job.

  • very nice !!!

  • How thick is the plywood you used? And what did you use to paint it?

  • @hipyaboyya

Plywood is 9mm and I used ordinary high gloss black paint.

  • I need some guidelines (Urgent)

Actually i am going abroad soon.. & i want to make a guitar case (that can suit both Electric guitar & Acoustic Guitar) is it possible? sometimes i will keep electric & sometimes i will keep Acoustic guitar inside..

Any standard Measurement for that purpose?

  • @guitaristshobi

I would make a case which will fit both guitars. And then make two foam blocks which fits the case perfectly and cut out the electric guitar shape in one of the foam blocks and the acoustic guitar shape in the other. So you'll only have to change the foam blocks when switching guitars.

    Good luck!

  • @guitarextremist Dearest i am so much glad that you replied me so quickly :) can`t tell how much happy i am :) you`re too kind :) thanking you once again with all of my heart bro :) and of course thanks for such a brilliant idea :) can we communicate further on facebook if you do not mind? Thanks

  • How did you paint it?

  • very good job, but the size is just waay to big man...

  • dude how did you make the hinge detachable?

  • @6stringerman

It's not a closed hinge like where you do a pin in. On one side it's a hinge with the pin already stuck to it. And the others side are just hooks. So it's easy to detach.

If you dont understand my description go to the website named in the description box and search for the hinge.

  • fodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • whats the song ?

  • @wassabiking787 I was looking for it too man . It's "Lights of Heaven" from Crystal Planet

  • Hi can you give me the measures of the whole drawing?? compliment for your realization

I wait for your news... you can contact me with a message in the account and, if it's necessary, then i can give u my e-mail...

    Thanks!!!

  • @ViXxyRock

The board where the pedals are on: 102cm wide 53cm deep 10cm high

The whole pedalboard closed: 102cm wide 64cm deep 20cm high

You can find more info how I made it in this video and on the website which is in the description box.

  • @guitarextremist was the name of the song?

  • great job , just i have a cuestion do you pait the wood or a you paste a some can a plastic?

  • @audondiazramirez

    I painted the wood twice.

  • so you first have assembled the component of the case and then you have cut the shape... it's right?

  • @ViXxyRock

    I dont understand your question...

  • whammy = the best shit

  • I guess you attached the pedals using velcro but how did you attach the wah? I'm thinking of those four rubber feet on the wah's plate.

    By the way, great job!

  • @tonidaredevil

Guess what? The pedals aren't attached to anything!

When I close the case the foam are pressed down on the pedals and keep them nice in place when I transport the flightcase. ;-)

  • Lol. You forgot one rivet on the right top corner @ 2:54 See it better @ 3:00 :)

  • how much money did you spend for materials?

  • excelenteeeeeeeeee

  • awesome

  • nice really nice... im making my own as we speak..but im having a hard time tracking down that chrome siding that goes around the whole box... where did you get that.

  • @bennybass420

It's all in the description box..

  • Good. Now make me one.

  • good job

  • nice..but no handle..i mean 4 carrying purpose

  • @chalhuaia

It does have a handle, but it's put on later when I uploaded this video.

  • what do you use from the processor? can't you substitue it with more pedals :D

  • @Den1sVengeance

I use the Zoom only for a nice clean channel sound. I add a little more delay on the distortion and some chorus and delay on the clean channel to make my overall sound better and more richer.

  • @guitarextremist Yeah I understand. Delay and Chorus really add a lot to a clean channel, but I'd go with a pedal take on getting that sound :D It's just more appealing to me :P Got a love for pedals! But I have to aknowledge your impressive work!

  • nice, but its too big for the pedals u hv

  • @mugrespan

Too big? It's too small!..I have too much pedals...

  • Very nice work!

  • How much did it cost you to make the whole flight case? Material Wise?

  • @posiedonpowertrio

Around €200 on all high quality materials. (paint, wood, frames and equipment I needed).

  • that looks sick

  • what tool did you use to cut the aluminum extrusions, i'm building a case myself but dont know if a circular saw is needed to cut that...nice job btw...

  • @boinkeee2000

I just used a small metal saw

  • You rock !!

  • where do u take electricity for pedals?

  • How much does it weigh? Looks like a ton.

  • @UltimateGuitarist17

Yeah it weighs 25kg/55lbs with all the pedals and everything in it.

  • @guitarextremist Nice work!

  • Thats soo sick dude.

I wish I could do this/ have enough pedals to need it hahah.

  • o cara fez do jeito mais complicado, o recorte achei bem interessante

  • How much did the build cost?

  • Dude, you forgot handles.

  • @LacesOutTyler

No I didnt. I put those on later when the video was already online. ;-)

  • sweet

  • HI very nice job.

Could you pleae tell me all the dimensions of this case?? Please;-)

  • @spitbazzas

    Pff...I think it's about 150 by 100 by 20 cm.

  • Waarmee heb je de kist in 2 gezaagd? met een wipzaag?

En hoe heb je de profielen verzaagd?

    Mooi resultaat!

  • @disturbtheworlds

    Met een decoupeerzaag ja ;-)

    De profielen met een ijzerzaag.

    Thanks!

  • how did you do the 0:34 - 0:35???? these stripes??? It's my big problem :D

  • @savasavram

That is just tape you use when you paint. It's a handy tool when you need to saw the whole thing in two in a staight line. It's all about measureing. Good luck!

  • THAT IS SOOOOO FUCKING HOTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

  • What about handles :?

    good job tho

  • my sister has that same guitar strap on her bass XD sick design though, wish i could make stuff like that

  • Great job man, looks totally solid. How much did materials cost you?

  • so i see you like boss... lol

  • hey buddy how much did you spend?

  • awesome want to have my own :(

  • looks so awesome!! but I bet all the parts cost nearly like new one?

and would be even cooler if the top would be removeable. :)

  • @GIEGAII

    The top is removeable ;-)

  • @GIEGAII you would lost that bet

  • @NabilT why? :) check the website he has shown. then count all the metal parts, timber, foam, (u can use "add to cart for easier calculations) +shipping costs then the paints and if your a simple hommie then you need to buy a saw (preferably electric..wouldnt bother with manual one..:DD ) riveter and rivets and plus a lot of effort.. :P well im building one as well from thomann.de. lucky me i had all the timber..etc..:DP

  • Comment removed

  • @GIEGAII well, in Venezuela (where i live) u would lose the bet haha

  • @NabilT hmm..then greetings from ireland.. :D :)

  • Great job! Looks great! How much weight is this pedalboard?

  • @mikhailwp

With the case closed and all the pedals in it about 25 kg.

  • where did you buy the extrusions, latches, and handles? i went into lowes today and asked for those things and the guy had no idea of what i was talking about. i even showed him pictures of a case and that still didnt help..lol.

  • @555rush

    See the description box.

  • I can clearly tell you love satch haha... I had the pleasure of meeting him, he's such a cool guy, but I really became friends with stu's and galen's guitar tech rob dawsone... thnx to him I got to meet him cuz I standed outside the hotel he was staying and he came out and helped me and my friends out

  • amazing job! how much do you charge?

  • that look awesome!!! i will love to have mine look like yours

were did you bought the foam?

  • your missing handles but otherwise exceptional job!

  • It has a handle now. I made it afterwards ;-)

  • VERY NICE WORK DUDE!!!!

  • awsome dude... maybe you can help me! im making an ATA case with 6 rack spaces, and for 2 triple rectifier, what kind of "wood" i have to use???

  • very professional job.

  • OMG!! FK!! I WAN ONE!!! URE SERIOUSLY A GREAT N TALENTED ARTIST!! btw...how do u keep the pedals in position?? i mean like.....u tie it with a string or wat?

  • @greendayhall

    Thanks a lot man! :-)

When the case is open, the pedals just stay at there place. When it's closed the foam you see on the closing part of the case presses on all the pedals to keep them at position.

  • @greendayhall You could buy velcrow to stick it down ;D

  • @greendayhall He probably use velcro, many people use that. I use some industrial sticky-back velco for my pedalboard and it sticks very well.(You can found some at wal-mart). Make sure it's industrial velcro, "regular" one might be a little weak.

Another way is to use the pedal's screws to put it on the pedalboard using some attachs. But it's definitely easier to re-arrange your pedals when you use velcro.

  • it's perfect!! what about the price to build??

  • sir, is that a line selector on the upper right corner of your board? i have a multi effect that i want to include on my board along with the other analog pedals... does it goes well? tnx..

  • @humpreystrong

No that's the Ultimate Octave by Fulltone.

  • ser how much you've cost on the pedal board including the pedals?

please state the price separately..thanks =]

  • xcelen't! best board on Y.T. 5 stars. one can even add a 2nd level for dff' FX'S. fav'd n' sav'd. thanks for posting.

  • Yeah! 2nd level is already put in! Works great, and I can put all my power cables in there as well.

  • How thin of wood did you use and how did you mount it together? Also, how did you seal the metal siding on?

  • I think it was about 9mm thick.

Just look at the site in the description box for more details how I made it.

  • sick music

  • SUPERB! I like it a lot. You also took the time to make it look really nice. I applaud. You did throw me for a loop though. I thought the lid would be the board side. The rear part could have hidden all of the power linkage.

  • what kind of wood did you use?

  • Just tri-plate

  • btw:

what is that multi effect you put into it>

  • Zoom GFX-8

  • woah nice man

  • F'n nice board well worth the effort. What was your end cost on parts and materials roughly?

  • gotto Love SATCH!!!!!!!

  • lol, you did'nt put a handle on it...

  • I did, but I did that after the video was uploaded.

  • how much did you spend on all parts including paint?how many hours did you spend making it?

  • If I remember it right, about a week I guess. I painted the case two times, so the painting itself took about 2/3 days before I could go on with the rest.

  • Did you just use velcto to attach the pedals?

  • No, the pedals aren't attached to anything. If I close the flightcase the foam will hold the pedals in position.

  • Yea, i was, also, wondering how you would have fastened the pedals to the board so they wouldn't move at all.

I was also wondering what did you use for power bars and power supplys, and how you had all the wires laid out under the board.

I had to make a fast pedal board for one night. I drilled holes into the wood around each pedal, and i passed twist-ties through the holes in the shape of an "+" . I put the power bars on the highest position of the board with all the wires in the back.

  • u can attach pedal FX's to the board by replacing the original short screws.(on back of the pedal) drill holes in the board, insert longer screws to mount pedals. works like a dream.

  • That's a nice idea too!

Right now I have the zoom, whammy satchurator wah and the POG on the ground level, and the other pedals at the top of the board on a higher level. Underneath that higher level are all the power cables and stuff so you dont see them :-)

  • Haha, Satch fan I see! Nice board!

  • about how much does it all cost in the end, if you don't mind me asking?

  • About €200 I guess

  • i luv making my own flight cases for my dmx lights and all that cause u can make ur own decals :P and its fun

  • Fantastic ...

And Satirani's lights of heaven is the perfect soundtrack

    :-)

  • Hey man! Awesome case!!! I need to make one like this but to hold my Drum Hardware!.

Where did you get the Hardware? Latches, corners. everything. And the black finish. is that paint?

    Please reply!!

  • Yes, its just paint.

The rest of the info is in the description box.

  • Dude,Super sweet!! How long did it take to make that!?! and cost, with all that aluminum I would think it would almost be cheaper to buy one!!.

  • About a week or something. It cost me for about €200

  • How did you get the side extrusions to stay in place?

  • What do you mean with the side extrusions?

  • the metal sides. did you rivet it

  • The outside profiles are rivettet yes. But the closing profiles (where the box/chest closes) they are rivettet only on the outsides with a aluminium plate on it. See 2:09 to see what I mean.

  • Good job friend ,

    i have zoom gfx8 , and i want ask for that ??

  • Ahh, just to clarify.. Essentially you are sandwiching the wood inbetween two profiles and then rivot goes through the lot..?

    cheers for reply.

  • Thats a brilliant case my friend! Question: How are you pop riveting the strips to the wood? (ie. are you using a washer on the otherside of the rivet?)

    cheers.

    good music too.

  • Thanks!

No, it's just profile--> wood into to profile--> rivet into both the wood and the profile.

    You know what I mean?

  • Well done!

  • Is there an english version of the flightcase-brico site? Or an alternative site?

  • No, but you can translate the page with google. Just search for it.

  • where can you get that foam?

  • i can give you only 6 stars,

    sorry, my friend.

  • 6? Well that's more then I can give! ;-)

    Thanks mate

  • Nice Job, But if the wood is only painted it will get easily scratched isn't it? I would have used PVC coated plywood or covered the plywood with tolex. Anyway, it looks good!

  • Thanks!

Yes I could have used those real flightcase wood, but that's quite expensive...

No I just painted it a couple of times, so that the paint finish is quite thick. That way it won't get scratched easely, plus the aluminium profiles and ballheads are preventing the wood from scratches also.

    Cheers

  • This is brilliant quality i wish i could make something like this!

  • Thanks!

  • hey where do i buy all the materials like the aluminum and all?

    THANKS

    awesome job BTW!!!

  • Thanks!

You can buy them at flightcase-brico. Just search for it!

  • to me that's to big! but great job man! it looks awesome!

  • To me, it's still to small....:-S I need more room for more pedals! ;-)

    Thanks man!

  • Truly excellent job, very impressive. I like your design as well with that "lip" in the back. Very nice collection of pedals too I might add. I have considered building my own but I might just say the hell with it and spend the 180 bucks on a custom one over the internet.
