  • "... i wondered how tomorrow, could ever follow today ..."

  • I love this song! check out another group that has a video : going to california led zeppelin cover DG I have now listened to a dozen so called "tributes" do this piece and this little garage band has the best version of this song I have heard yet. There is a magic that is hard to copy lots of guy's try and act like Robert but they fall flat when it comes to actually singing RP. Anyway, check it out My two cents............

  • zeppelin has a song for everything going to sleep, pumping you up, inpire you to do something, really there are endless possiblitys if you think it zeppelin can do it

  • Got Plant ?

  • 77 good year I graduated H.S in Boston Catholic Memorial Ted kennedy gave me my diploma and wished me good luck in the Navy 1 iwas a bit drunk and stoned at the time oh so what!

  • this song alone is the only reason i started playing guitar.musical masterpeice.

  • I have this bootleg, such good quality :)

  • Outstanding. Only wish I could have watched the footage.

  • I remember buying the 4 record Destroyer box set at a flea market in NJ when I was a teenager. I couldn't get enough of bootlegs since I never had the opportunity to see them live (was only 10 when they were on their last US tour). Saw Page & Plant numerous times when they were solo.

  • Zep Rules!

  • man i wish i was an adult in the 70's life was so much simpler, people were so less hung up.

  • whos the 1 numb fuck

    fuk u!

  • wow who ever recorded this is lucky Richard Cole and Peter Grant didnt find out

  • Does anybody know were Zeppelin played April 25, 1977? Please someone find this is a show I'll never forget. The set list was exactly the same as this shows. I remember seeing Ceasers chariot at Stanford Field. Enough. Peace

  • the only good thing that ever came out of cleveland in its entire history...the destroyer what a disgrace that this concert was never recorded and released on video. i guess the richfield colliseum couldnt afford cameras back then. after all it was cleveland for christs sakes

  • That mandolin is nice:)

  • Destroyer!! A pretty decent bootleg. Pink floyd and Led Zeppelin have tons and tons of live bootlegs.

  • Ok who is the 1 retard who "disliked" this song??? Get a life....really? Led Zeppelin- will never be another band this good!

  • MUCH thanks to you SqueezeMyLemonBabe for all of your LZ . priceless .

  • Simply beautiful. No other way to describe it.

  • Legendary, no-one could surpass them ever even if the world lasts for another million years. ZOSO

  • First time I heard this me and my freinds were skipping school and smoking a 4 foot glass bong we were " boring" from my freinds dad,I'm pretty sure that was sometime in the late seventy's ,don't remember the exact date

  • i wanna learn this song on mandolin

  • dude i love your username! Lemon song rocks!!

  • linda!!!

  • I think Robert unconsiously -or not - imitates Joni's way of sliding into a note...more on the album version than this one. On "How the West Was Won", he even says "Joni!" at the end of the 'she plays guitar and cries and sings' verse. I love that! So many gripe about LZ 'copying'. No way, they're unique - they are just paying respects to the music they love and that inspired them.

  • There is no way in hell this is from 77....they all just sound way to amazing...sounds more like 72

  • @thefaketahare But this is from 77

  • @luzick wow they sound great especially plant who didnt have the power behind his singing by 75

  • I think the three of them should do an acoustic tour

  • @bgordon647 Yep. And i believe it would fit well the percy's current music trip. I always loved their acoustic numbers.

  • LED IT ALL OUT!!!!!!!

  • ...whoa, wait. Was this song dedicated to Joni? If so, I can't believe I never knew that!

  • Yes, I believe Plant had a "thing" for Joni...

  • ya it was, the lyric about the queen as she played her guitar and cried as she sings" is a reference to 1 of his songs

  • is there a girl out with love in her eyes and flowers in hair

  • Thanks for posting! A Zep acoustic classic and what a great tribute to Joni Mitchell' "To find a queen without a king, they say she plays guitar and cries and sings"

  • @janeotte I always loved Joni, I know a lot of people thought her music was weak, but I always found her music to be extremely unique and relaxing, I still listen to her often.

  • everytime i feel bad i listen to this song or seassons in the abyss by slayer they both put a smile on my face (:

  • Like it!!!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG........ Doesn't get any better.

  • this song has gotten me through many days of unwanted stress

  • @waynegro420 Me, too.

  • thanks for accepting the vid response!

  • It's so easy to get lost in this one.

  • I love Plant around 2:30. It just explodes and suddenly fades.

  • roberts faboouuula

  • because of them i started making music.

every time hypnotic, they looked for the absolut

expression, every musician wants to be like them

thanks to everbody who made Led Zeppelin possible and that they were born in times of recording

  • yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • muito bom exepsonal

    !!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a Zep classic hauntingly beautiful song.

  • perfect song!!!*******

  • is this song is droped double D

  • They are a good band! There are many good bands!

  • U.K RULES

  • Your comment confuses me. :(( I understood "Led zeppelin is awesome" and thats about it lol

  • WHy havent I seen anybody Mention "Yes" as a great band, Well Im Doing it Here's to you "Yes!" And Great job to Zep :]

  • Thank you!

  • @Donovan37343 You are right, and Yes is my favorite band. Perhaps it is due to the fact that Prog is not as popular.

  • you miss band like The doors

  • i agree......thats the most dumbest thing i ever heard,,,,,,led zeppelin is from england.....omg!!!! they MUST be awesome.......They are awesome, because of who they are.......not the place they came from.......sheesh!!!!

  • jimi hendrix is from america retards. shhhhhhhhhhhh

  • the best bands: beatles, cream, led zeppelin and queen, all from UK

  • True, the United Kingdom does have many amazing bands like the Beatles, Queen, and Led Zeppelin (my favorite), but one must not forget bands like Guns N' Roses, The Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead, and, of course, Aerosmith. Both countries have phenomenal musical talents, and I think it best not to argue about who's better. Let's just enjoy the music.

  • Yep, remember and remember where blues and Rock and Roll started, in the USA. I appreciate both countries for their music.

  • jimi hendrix, bb king, muddy waters, howlin wolf, Canned Heat, The Doors, john lee hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, all Americans.

  • the best bands come out of the uk.

  • Yeah, a lot of them did, for sure. Possibly the four best bands of all time.

  • the best bands are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles

    All from the UK

  • I like Radiohead too.

  • i sounds like to me, "well if thats about england, then this is..." referring to the song, "the battle of evermore". that parts in the info.

so, if that tune is about england, then 90% of all interpretations of 'the battle...' being about christianity and/or 'the lord of the rings' are bunk. both songs have john paul on mandolin, bonham is getting a drink break. cheers.

  • yes.gone..

  • dammit does anyone know if they took off the 1975 earls court video of this song? i cant seem to find it anywhere on youtube

  • this is one of the truly great songs of all times. absolutely unique, poignant, and beautiful. the first time you hear it, it just works. all respect to the creative talents of led zeppelin.

  • Indeed it is one of their very best songs. I find it so hauntingly beautiful I want to cry.

    Thanks for this upload.

  • always a classic eye open air....... TEXWYO!

  • Strong recording, far sure good work!!~ TEXWYO~

  • great recording. don't overlook JPJ on mandolin. amazing thing about Zeppelin is they did their first 4 in less than 4 years.

    I thru IV

jan 69 to nov 71 add to this non stop touring and writing. reminds me of an artist like Van Gogh or someone, " the creative years"...

  • FARSURE That's why the be the POWER AND THE HAMMER!~ of the GODS!~ Great music in a short spell! of TIME!

  • This was one of my very first boots. Triple LP I believe, then got it on CD a few years back. Been collecting their shows forevere now. This is probably my favorite 77 show, maybe its just the sentimentality of it being my first acquisition. Listen to this Eddie would be a close 77 competitor. Ten years gone and In my time of dying from this show are just wonderful.

  • Yes indeed, this and Listen to this Eddie, and "Badge Holders only" were 3 of my first.

This is now available in 5.1 stereo, it is released as Ultimate Destroyer which i like better than the original release. Ten years gone is awesome from this show.

  • this is such a beautiful song.

    :]

one of my favorite zeppelin songs.

  • jimm'y playing is just so wonderful!

  • My honest opinion is that all these bands are perdy much all great...they all have their own sounds to bring to the table..so dont diss um..=D

  • Great bootleg, amazing song.

One of my favorite from Zepp Thx :)

  • One of my favorite Zeppelin songs... even better live

  • how come?

  • Great song!

Also Plant and Page are sporting some nice beards, I didn't think Led Zep could get any better, but their magnificent facial hair just turned my world upside down!

  • wow

    they're great live

    my favorite zeppelin song!!

  • Robert's voice & sustain are so much greater than the guitars.......

    btw..........

"STANDING ON THE HILLS OF MY MOUTAINS & DREAMS, TELLING MYSELF IT'S NOT AS HARD, AS HARD, AS HARD AS IT SEEEEEEEEEMS......"

    Makes me cry....... those lines.......

    thx for posting.......

  • Y are we comparing the stones to zeppelin. As far as im concerned the stones could fall off the face of the earth and I wouldnt notice. The only two bands worth mentioning in the same sentence as zeppelin is The Beatles, and The Eagles! Btw The Eagles are still around, with Walsh. Im seeing them in 3 months in Cleveland ohio...

  • you forgot about RUSH, as a musician i appreciate great bands that endure and RUSH will endure as long as any of them

  • true

  • don't forget the who!

  • It was those early and middle 70's that they were at their peak for quality of musicianship. They were awesome during those time's

  • My friend and I turned down going to the 81' Stones show, because we were more into Rush at the time. His uncle had 2 extra tickets. (Still kick myself for that). We were about 13 at the time.

  • I will say this -- the musicians sounded pretty tight in what I've seen of the O2 show. But Plant's voice is key to every one of their songs & he hasn't got the range any more (what 59 yr-old could?). IF Robert can hold up the vocals to some standard that doesn't embarass him, I'd sell one of my kidneys to see them play.

  • I'm 44 & the 4th Zep album is one of the very first albums I remember owning, along with Rush "Farewell to Kings" and the Allman Brothers. I remember the very height of the Stones -- Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, etc. I'm sorry but since about 1995 the Stones have been a cartoon of their former selves.

  • Yea maybe, I thought the 94' stones show was better than 89' & saw them at the Anaheim Pond around 2000 and that was good, saw 2 mediocre after that in comparison, but you still have to give them credit. Zeps been gone for almost 30yrs, Beatles almost 40. The Stones have been around almost 50 F'In years, with 3 original members. Thats pretty amazing! Guns N Roses & all the other punk ass 80's hair band are already long gone & thats because of a lack of substance. (Primadonna Wimps)

  • golden earring has been around even longer, and has only had 1 year of.

  • Golden Earing "Radar Love". If they are still around thats news to me. Most ppl wouldnt even know who they are. The Who has been around forever, now with 2 of 4 members gone, but I remember their "Farewell Tour" in 1982, (I was a freshman in HS), and they have only popped in and out since.

  • they are still playing, hopefully i'm going to see them next year.

my mom wont let me go to amsterdam because i'm only seventeen :P

and i saw the who in 2007 and it was one of the best nights of my life! :D

a friend got arrested because they thaught he he was high :D

but they released him later, we did lose all of our beer though because we were all under 20 :/

  • Well enjoy your youth, I sure did! Before you know it though, you'll wake up and your 40, like me, with a wife and 2 kids. Its all good though. Peace!

  • sounds just fine to me :)

    peace

  • dam sounds like an awesome night :D

  • it was an unforgetable night! :D

  • Hey man thats awesome, I love the Allmans. They're my favorite band actually.

  • i no im 13 and my dad got me into zeplin about 2 years ago im trying to learn how to play like john bonnhem

  • God speed, bro. Bonhams a beast.

  • The were the single greatest and most important band in rock, period. But they're not going on tour & frankly I don't want them to. How in the world can a bunch of 60+ year old guys possibly hold up the reputation of Led Zeppelin?? Have you seen what a joke the Stones are these days? Do you want to see Zep make a joke of themselves that way? I don't. I listen to one of my Zep albums every day & I love what Plant is doing with Alison Krauss. But they aren't touring again- accept it.

  • I dont think the Stones are a joke, and you must be under 40, or most likely under 30, to think that way. I was around for the tail end of the zep era, but started going to the song remains at midnight movies around 81/82' and have been a hard core fan since. I got my fill seeing Robert, & then Page/Plant so I dont really care, but watching 02 Arena footage just after seeing Halen, I thought the 60+ Zep looked/sounded better than the 50+ Halen & if I can run around like Jagger at 65 I will

  • Also, Page is a perfectionist, he wont do it half ass if he does. If Page was Van Halens guitarist on this last tour, he would of slapped Dave around for sounding like a lounge singer and making somewhat of a mockery out of their kick ass songs. & Let the pudgy kid play bass on a couple shows & then send him home, or dont charge Michael Anthony prices. Personally I think some of the bands can still play and some should just hang it up.

  • I feel the same way (I am a 14 year old boy though haha).

A tour would be perfect right now..

  • Wow! I can't believe this is from 1977. Robert's voice sounds amazing! just like the early years.

  • The album is Destroyer and the Dr. was played by Larry Badgely :D

  • I'd say '73 was my favorite.

  • Yeah I'd say '73 was their best tour as well. That's when they became more comfortable on stage and didn't have any of the problems that occurred after '73. Like Plant's car accident and his son passing away...Page's heroin use...etc.

  • this is just beatiful...

  • Yeah, one of my favorite acoustic songs ever written. Pure genius!

  • Man...you lucky guy. Thank you for the information, I couldn't imagine how amazing it must have been to see Led Zeppelin!

  • I'm about to urinate... that was awesome. "Hello Cleveland"..."We are Led Zeppelin". I can only imagine.

  • I know right? I don't even think I could imagine.

  • This is just awesome. The early '77 shows are my favorite from that tour because the band was not yet exhausted from travel and drugs. Robert has some of that high voice back which he seems to have lost in '75. This version has that magical touch to it that the '71 and '72 versions had.

  • It really does, I'm glad you enjoy it!

  • the long version of osaka 71 is amazing

  • What day is this from

    The 27th or 28th

Because I have copy of this and it sounds like its from the 28th

  • I dont know exactly, I dont have both I dont think. I'd have to check.

  • 4/27/77
