Dark, it had nothing whatsoever to do with christ himself. It has to do with the story presented, and the way the church changed much to fit other religions, or perhaps had ulterior motives. I don't think what Cooper is saying is necessarily contradictory to Christianity. In Romans Chapter 1 Paul talks about how the knowledge of God is written in the universe leaving man without excuse. The mystery religions are perversions of the knowledge of God built into the universe to point to Christ.
