I'm proud to be Filipino and I think it would be a great honor for the country to host the Olympics, but there would have to be a lot done beforehand in order for that to happen... and I mean A LOT. There are other issues at hand that would first have to be tackled (in this aspect, the Olympics MIGHT help some. Like, it can give jobs to people who would otherwise be unemployed) like education, terrorism, corruption, and the gap between rich and poor.
Is it possible for Manila to host the 2024 Olympics? Yes.
Is it likely? With the way things are going now, no. However, things can always change for the better, and I hope they do! Put all negativity aside and focus on making the country a better place, whether or not it's for the Olympics.

The Filipino Government doesn't support athletics much, so it's a great accomplishment for Filipinos to even go to the Olympics. However, I believe that if the hard-training athletes are sponsored, then they can show the world what they can do! We, just like any other race, can do anything ^_^ Filipinos have had great accomplishments in the past, and they will continue to do so in the future!

that's possible only when they build roads from stadium directly to the olympic quarter and hotels to avoid the traffic.
it is likely that Manila can host the games, but not in 2024 summer games. perhaps, 3-4 decades from now. .

I'm proud to be Filipino and I think it would be a great honor for the country to host the Olympics, but there would have to be a lot done beforehand in order for that to happen... and I mean A LOT. There are other issues at hand that would first have to be tackled (in this aspect, the Olympics MIGHT help some. Like, it can give jobs to people who would otherwise be unemployed) like education, terrorism, corruption, and the gap between rich and poor.

Is it likely? With the way things are going now, no. However, things can always change for the better, and I hope they do! Put all negativity aside and focus on making the country a better place, whether or not it's for the Olympics.

What Olympic bid? Manila is ugly n chaotic. Bidding for d Olympics is like applying for a rocket scientist job at NASA with a 3rd grade education. We can't even clean up Pasig River and get rid of the billboards.
Watch the Great Hanoi Masterplan on Youtube. Vietnam has a target date to transform their city into a worldclass destination. I wouldn't be suprised if Vietnam hosted the Olympics before the Philippines.

OK let's say we can do this.
But then we'd better hope 2020 Olympics won't go to any of the two Asian cities dat officially started their bid act for 2020, Tokyo of Japan and Busan of S.Korea, cuz IOC would never let Asia host 2 consecutive olympics. If either of the two takes 2020, next chance for Asia will be 2032. (And i personally 2032 would be better and more realistic for us too than 2024)

Part One: Pwede naman maghost ang Pilipinas katulad ng ginawa nila sa 2005 Sea Games. Pwedeng ikalat sa buong pilipnas ang venue. Hindi porket maraming depressed areas eh wala na tayong karapatan maghost ng Olympiad. Ang paghost ng isang Olympics eh di ibig sabihin gagastos lang, may kikitain din ang Pilipinas dyan.

Did you see the size of the Philippine's team going into the Beijing Olympics? The Filipino Government doesn't support athletics much, so it's a great accomplishment for Filipinos to even go to the Olympics. However, I believe that if the hard-training athletes are sponsored, then they can show the world what they can do! We, just like any other race, can do anything ^_^ Filipinos have had great accomplishments in the past, and they will continue to do so in the future!
