depends who wrote the lyrics.. Daron's lyrics are often blunt and not that deep in meaning, wheras the one Serj writes exclusivly tend to be more poetic. not to say that Daron doesnt write deep and meaningful lyrics, but most of the time it works that way, which is one reason why the band went on a hiatus, since Serj's material was being shunned and so he released them solo.. at least, its what i heard :P
