Lets face it. 99.9% of all people that fail in "Affiliate Marketing" fail because they're lazy as hell. I don't care if you write all their content for them, pick the best products to sell on their site and even offer to get them web traffic, they'll still find a way NOT to earn a penny from affiliate marketing. Those ad blasting services are sketchy. Be careful. I get most of my traffic through the free search engines so read up on SEO and learn how to get ranked well in Google, Yahoo, etc. Also watch my other video called Stop the SEO Madness. I discuss search engine optimization here.

Traffic, traffic, traffic, I have a site which only has 6 pages that I built 3 months ago. I have made more money from that site due to targeting specific subjects of interest and generating traffic, than a directory site I built with over 1000 pages 9 months ago.

If you already have a site why not work on generating traffic to that one instead of building another. My thinking is if you have not learned to build traffic to your main site, creating a blog or another website won't make it any easier.
