@TheNatalieFernandez I've only just started listening to Melissa. I saw her in concert not too long ago and was blown away. She has such a great presence on stage. And I started listening at a GREAT time with this album coming out it's so perfect. Anyway, this song has to do partly with her and her wife tammy breaking up but mainly it means just what the song says. She is (as we all) are what we are afraid of and to grow and overcome so we can love ourselves and others fearlessly.

In this life or the next they will come to the understanding that any negative feelings like that come from the 'self'.
