  • NICE! old school... but you must do other sledhammer exercises beside this. one last thing: your tire bounce a lot! insert a smaller car tyre under this one. problem solved! when hammer bounces a lot, exercise is not compete and you can use it only for warm up! best wishes from serbia!

  • there is to much bounce in the tire, get a smaler tire and it wont bounce then you have to work to get it over head or slege a pile of dirt no bounce therefore double the work

  • I also just realized you have a 10kg or 22lb hammer. Thats HUGE for a normal person. I swing a 12 & 16 lb hammer, which lets me put a lot more energy into it.

  • Arent you supposed to use your shoulders when you swing the sledge hammer and not just your arm and elbow. The guys that work with sledgehammer i.e. coal miners come over the head because it gives them better leverage to get more power.

  • Ross uses a light hammer and trains fast strength. I use a heavy hammer and train perseverance.

  • start easy wiht a light hammer (4kg). at first, two times the week for one month. then four times the week. beginning with 20 impacts and then increase.
