Why pick up the SPV from a secret exploding truck instead of just a garage?
Why have jets flown by hot French women?
Why drive backwards using a TV?

He's driving backwards because in the event of a high speed collision he'd be forced into the seat instead of being thrown forwards, which is safer than relying on a seat belt. Quite likely to happen to a pursuit vehcile with a ramming fender.

Of course its even more likely to happen if you're driving by TV monitor because you're facing backwards in the first place.
