It's not the same. Hasselblad uses a system where you focus on the person eye or where ever you want focus in the picture. Then if you stay in the same spot and recompose the focus will stay in the same spot exactly.
It meters the movement of the camera body and keeps the focus where you want it.
The scene in dessert with the photographer that looks like a poor man's Jeff Goldblum - it looks like he is wearing sunglasses and taking a shot.
