They get back together in the last show of season 6 because of this extreme situation at the hospital. It's the last scene of this video. Arizona & Callie talk about it. The elevator scene is about their sadness that they are apart and their deep love for each other. They are suffering w/o each other. So they kiss and she walks away (again).
