Hell, Turkey has more ancient Greek remains than any other country in the world. But it is only a fraction of the beauty that is on display here. Anatolian landscape is much more cosmopolitan than that

Secondly,the two columns you saw are from the oracle of Didyma, Greek as well. You forgot to mention the temples of Cappadocia, birthplace of the Cappadocian fathers. All these bear witness to the ecumenical character of our culture.

Ah, but I did not, what I called "fairy chimneys", you called "temples", I think at least, unless I missed the temples. Besides, Cappadocians were not considered Greeks even by the Greeks. Sure, the Cappadocian Fathers might have been born there but they did not build it so it cannot be considered Greek. Cappadocians were there with those structures long before Eastern Rome turned Greek. If I was to suggest that Thessaloniki was Turkish, just because Atatürk was born there where would we be?

Your accuracy would have been undeniable, save one little detail. The Celsus Library has been built by Celsus, but the inscriptions are Greek. Most importantly, the Romans themselves used to say "Rome has conquered Greece, but Greece conquered Rome with its culture". So, all styles of Rome were Greek-Ioanian, Doric, Corinthian.
