La voce del uomo non può esistere senza 'il passaggio' chi è obbligatorio per ogni tipo di voce maschile.

Un tenore senza passaggio e vero appoggio si ritrova esattamente come canta il tenore di questo video cioè senza nessun controllo tecnico dei pianissimi e della messa di voce.

Sono stupito che Maestra Berganza non ha sentita mai nella sua vita che 'il passaggio' dipende dal.... appoggio giusto ...

@joanabanyeres 2 il giusto appoggio aiuta il cantante di 'passare' dal medium nel registro acuto,si usa la tecnica del 'giro' gli acuti in questo modo diventano facilissimi e sopratutto bellissimi.

Le donne non si servono di questa tecnica perché non hanno bisogno!

Per una donna basta di 'chiudere' la posizione e di cantare con 'la punta'.

Signor Xavier Mas canta come cantano le donne('grazie' alla sua maestra) non conosce la tecnica del uomo.

Il passaggio non si sentirà mai se è fatto bene.

Altra cosa , mio marito non e italiano ma ha une grande e bella voce da baritono, canta, aperto pero coperto come i miei allievi....la voce e "UNA"

Basta l'esempio con la voce del baritono.

Un baritono deve cantare gli acuti(può arrivare si naturale e do di petto,ma questo fatto non vuol dire che è tenore!)come tenore drammatico e la voce del petto grave come un basso!

Per me il Signor Mas è un dilettante.

Il livello artistico di questo giovane tenore e di primo anno della scuola media e ancora...

50 anni fa questa 'scuola' non esisteva...

@joanabanyeres 4 cara amica,le donne negli ultimi 30 anni come maestre di canto avete dei risultati disastrosi...lei è una maestra di canto allora voglio chiederla con molto rispetto :

-Dove sono le voci di Fleta,Caruso,Masini,Merli,Del Monaco,Corelli etc.?

Nella mia vita avevo sentito dal vivo più di 60 tenori,tutti cantavano usando 'il passaggio'...

Per ritornare verso la vera lirica italiana e i grandi voci ci vuole onesta e sincerità.

Da 30 anni gridiamo bravo alla mediocrità...a che serve?

Il maestro deve aiutare e spiegare al suo allievo come si deve appoggiare la voce e come trovare la maschera.

Dove nei suoi video Maestra Berganza parla del appoggio e la maschera (la punta) e dove mostra ai suoi allievi 'il passaggio'?...

Già la voce della Maestra e così brutta,e insopportabile quando 'canta',poveri studenti.

Per lei questo è l'esempio della bellezza?!?!?

@TheMiserableRanter The voice is definitely really lyric and I believe he is not using his entire instrument. When he figures how to use his entire instrument and finds the right resonance you can use that bright resonance to carry it over an orchestra.

@jcung227 His resonance/body is SO locked, he is far from any tone at all. And you have no idea if he is a "lyric voice" or not, that is so silly to say from just this video. He doesn't have the tone for a lyric voice.

hi laryngal singing will never cut through an orchestra. Beautiful voice but he needs to add bottom and the only way to do that is to keep the larynx down.

Yeah, I think you're right. But the melismas are wonderful. I'm not sure it's as much about volume as much as adding the right formant, the right overtones to the voice.

He has a wonderful voice, but he almost sounds like he's singing half voice. If he really wants to do opera, he'll never be heard. His next step is volume.

He's a lyric tenor so he doesn't need a huge voice especially for many of the european stages. Not to mention that he's a man, so his voice peaks later. He'll probably grow even more in the next few years.

It is NOT a matter of volume, but of resonance. He's a lyrical Mozart-tenor!

He's very resonant, actually. You can hear in his tone that he uses his nasal palate as a sounding board. I think he needs to sing more. Fortes and pianos are not just a matter of resonance. Singers have different volumes as well. Volume has to do with air, resonance has to do with placement. He needs more air.

TB is teaching breath control confidence.This young tenor manages those long coloratura lines very well.Mozart was a complete bastard for tenors-ask any Mozart tenor LOL...He wasn't much easier on any other voice type either.Very good voice and technique.

Because you need to know the rule before you can brake it !! if the organs needed for breath are not in line early on the other muscles start to overcompensate Im a lyric myself no breath no Mozart !
