i dont take drugs, and for the most part dont like people who do, but honestly the war on drugs needs to stop. its a needless waste of resources for something people are always going to be doing illegally, so why not just legalize it and sell it? it would help our economy, get rid of a massive problem, and it would get the hippies to shut up.

If something is a threat, and the threat is violent in nature, you often have to react in violence to effectively halt it. I agree with peaceful protests and such, but in this case, I do not see how it would be in any way effective.

I agree. Prohibition does not work, it never has. When America wanted to fight back the mafia they re-legalized alcohol, if they legalized, taxed and regulated drugs those drug cartels would begin to find themselves in dire straits, and rather than spending billions on a drug war which has yet to accomplish anything, America would be making money (not just from the taxation, but the freed up prison cells).
