... some more freedom. I know I would prefer it if I were sentenced to life and some of these lifers only reoffend to be locked up in the 1st place.

They should also do like the movie "The Running Man". If someone is sentenced to death for instance they should give them an alternative of maybe being on such a game show. If they win/pass, they too are sent to the island or reduced to life basically. This all sounds crazy but I bet the prisoners would prefer it. I know I would!

  • There are a lot of people in prison that should be in prison, but there are a lot of people that never should have went to prison in the 1st place. That's step one in clearing prisons... stopping the rediculous sentencing in the 1st place.

Step 2 and 3 for those who get life should be like the movie Papillon. Put them on an island and let them survive on their own. Chips maybe in their head that will kill them if they leave the island. It's much cheaper then tax dollars and also gives them...

  • @Danbo342 Agreed many people in prison have no business being there. Your other ideas are interesting.

  • oh and small, correction you saying at the end... "locked 4 mnts...." well, they are locked 4 years, even decades... one guy was selling stolen computers and got only cupple y... so he is not some monster, regular guy lookni 4 extra cash, and he is 7, 8 Y alone in cel...

  • @vexnaex Thats sick to do to somebody.

  • i m loookin 4 that n.geo. documentary and i cannot find it anywhere. why?!? i`m from europe, and prisons are bit different here. and i just cannot belive that this is real... is it one more sick social experiment of your governmant...? no, i just refuse to belive that tihs is happening in 21.century.

  • @vexnaex I honestly don't remember if it is Nat Geo or it may have been a documentary I saw on prisons on Frontline. I used to smoke a lot so I don't remember at this point. Sorry. I am thinking it may have been a Frontline documentary which is a series carried on PBS in this country.

  • Hey man, I watched the same documentary recently as well and I totally agree with you. I'm even writing about in my English class. Its wrong and needs to end.

  • @Rolyat360OoOoOOut Thanks for commenting. Glad to hear it is something you are writing about. The only way these things will change is if we expose what is going on in the criminal justice system to people around us.

  • Great job bro. Packed w/ conviction

  • @MysticEmergence Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.

  • what a poor actor as well as a Drugged UP dole abusing idiot. I will break your Neck.

  • Really enjoyed your honest input on this. You're kind of funny too. :) I kind of put myself in that position of isolation too for a while after having to move to the us, being from brazil....i got all kinds of anxieties...Just trying to make solid new friendships again.

  • @happyhazelnut Thanks. I try to mix humor into my videos even when talking about serious subjects.

I live in Washington DC. A lot of people that move here, whether from another country or somewhere in the US, have a hard time making connections. We are friendly people but we are also very guarded people. We don't seem to welcome new people very easily. Just curious what part of the US are you living in?

  • @gfreakj Michigan.....Moving out of here as soon as i finish college though...just hate the snow.

Yeah, i couldn't figure people out here for a very long time...i took their seriousness as a way of saying that they didn't like me...just got super self councious and it also led me to a very unhealthy 2 year relationship...But i'm really trying to leave that behind me and just be happy with myself and know that people here are there for you after you break into their bubble...

  • @happyhazelnut Good way of looking at it. People can be very standoffish in this country but as you said once they get to know you that usually changes.

Are there a lot of people from different parts of the world on your campus?

  • they gave away their human rights when they chose to rape little girls. thats all

  • @teedonster Thanks for your point of view. I agree they have given up their rights. My point is we are gonna have to live with these folks again.

  • @gfreakj we might have to live with them again but if there rapists and murderers chances are we wont see them again. they should already be dead.

  • @teedonster Not all of them are in solitary confinement for doing something terrible as raping a little girl......Most of them are actually in there for something like idetity theft, drug use, etc..and then end up in solitary because they assaulted an officer in jail. I don't think years of isolation is the answer. They just become angrier for all the bitterness that builds up in them. This is as bad as death sentence, if not worse...

  • @happyhazelnut why isnt the death penalty more frequent? why are murderers in jail still alive? there a wate of food that could be used for the 3rd world.

and as for the beginner bodybuilders in jail, they shouldnt be allowed much protein in their food.

make jails less appealing for all inmates

  • @teedonster Humm...sorry, but i disagree. We shouldn't show hate to people who have enough of it already. These people who end up in jail could have been you, could have been me...it really depends on your upbringing and environment. And 3rd world countries don't have enough food because their leaders are corrupted and the 1st world countries, like the US, may look like they help...but they are part of the problem actually...

  • @happyhazelnut i know the us is part of the problem, but feeding a baby raper over an african child is wrong

if i ended up in jail for committing a crime like robbery would it matter to me? nt much because i can get a job easier, i get tv, radio, gym and 3 meals a day, nothing to worry about in jail. i personally wouldnt because im better than those people but not to others.

jail can be luxury for beginner bodybuilders and the homeless, make it less appealing will cause less crime

  • @teedonster You're better than those people...? Ok, i don't believe we think alike. Have a good one.

  • @happyhazelnut yes im better than those people how dare you say im equal to those people, fuck you

  • @teedonster Hum...ok then....great mentality dude...just said i don't think that way.

  • Thanks for putting this up. I agree with you whole heartedly. I isolated myself as much as I could for 2 years due to depression. I slowly became angrier to the point of open hostility most of the time. My comments on Youtube were hostile and negative. I just wanted someone to say, "I hear you loud and and clear." Even if I was just being an asshole. For a long time all I could think about was suicide. All I could do was to hate myself.

  • @MonacoBlast You're welcome. Thanks for sharing your story. Helps me remember why it is so important for me to continue to stop isloating myself. This is the time of year I tend to isolate the most so your message was very timely. Thanks for commenting.

  • @djmjm14 Agreed. Thanks for commenting.

  • @NefariousVirtuoso I agree I wouldn't want to be in general population but totally isolated for years at a time seems like too much. They need a middle ground. Dont know if thats possible in prison.

  • Very good point.

  • @terryweb Thanks.

  • Your take on that is 100 percent biblical. Maybe there's more to the visiting-people-in-prison thing than just basic kindness.

  • @taratorah I think so. No human contact seems to make people go mad. Most of the guys in the show came into prison "normal" and now many have mental problems. Sad.

  • You're right, I'm sure it has horrible mental effects on a person. Like you, I went through a time when I completely shut everybody out of my life and I was never more miserable.

  • @Republican4U2Envy It's weird that what we do that we think will make us feel better has the opposite effect. Important for me to remember.

  • lol I just watched the movie Bird man of alcatraz he was in solitary... it was an amazing movie BtW its old as dirt tho lol (1960s)

  • @digitaljackass ill add it to my netflix que. Im gonna tell my mama shes old as dirt since shes pre 60's. Dont know if she is aware. LOL

  • @gfreakj Lol dont tell her i said it.. LOL dont want yo mama pissed at me... if you do watch it tho do a review would like to know what you think

  • @digitaljackass She isn't easily offended. I am her son afterall. lol Its on my que. Ill review once it arrives.

  • I agree 100%

  • @RealShadowAssassin Thanks.

  • If for no other reason, the fact that most inmates will be living among us should at least be the thing that causes some sort of prison reform. Prison shouldn't be making criminals worse criminals. But unfortunetly most people don't care bout these things untill they are the ones victimized by a repeat offender.

    Good one as always g.

  • @ricadrew Thanks. I agree. I understand wanting to punish someone but punishment and torture are two different things.

  • It is either mental punishment or physical punishment. We have to choose one. Most people obviously do not like Solitary confinement but generally people aren't forever changed by it, as far as creating a mental handicap.

  • @Mauhadeeb28 They interviewed two guys who had been in solitary and were released and both ended up freaking out being around people once they got out. One of them attacked someone for just staring at him. He said he felt totally paranoid. He had a very hard time being around his own family after being in solitary so long..

  • @Mauhadeeb28 I saw another show where the guy said after solitary he felt more comfortable in prison then out. If they are going to isolate people they need to be watched and evaluated constantly in my opinion
