I heard this at Starbucks, and cant stop listening to it. I spent 4 years of my life as a student at that starbucks, and this song would play everytime. Now i miss my university, and this song is the living memory I have of that place.

@rael3imperial Hi Rael ...To clarify I'm not Will Ackerman this is just a cover Lol :P but to answer your question the recorder I used was a Fostex MR8 Which I used to connect directly to the PC mic jack.

Everytime I hear this song I think about my mom's home in Delaware County Ohio. Standing in the Middle of 5.6 Acres of land looking at the surrounding landscape. According to Will's Tuning webpage, the tuning is capo at 5th B,D#,F#,G#,D#,F# .

That works out for the guitar tuning to be F#, A#,C#,D#,A#,C# at the nut.

Playing GBDEBD at Capo V will be a half step higher than Will's original recording. And it doesn't really sound the same to the recording even if you put the capo on IV fret in this tuning.

You pulled off the 2nd Section and the rest rather well. Well done.

@SidestreamThinker06 Thanks for the comment :) in reference to the capo issue Will says on the tuning page that a lot of his early recordings where not tuned pitch perfect (or tuned down because of string tension on different guitars) So that might be it :P

would you tune some strings up and others down or would you tune all down? I tried the tuning and it is very difficult for me to bar all strings on the 2nd fret from capo...

I would use light gauge strings as well (11's) because of the added tension :)

What confuses me though is the quote from William. He says this song has some of the most challenging guitar playing he had ever accomplished. But I don't see what's so challenging about it honestly, just from watching.

Compared to some Hedges tunes, this might even be called easy. Or maybe it just seems that way from watching it, since these songs can be deceivingly difficult to play.

Ahhh, so it was in the same tuning as "Hawk Circle" I had the feeling it was somewhat similar when I tryed to play this wonderful piece.
