Yes they are. The RFD gloves don't have defence requirements, but some of the pre-quests give defence experience.

Great guide in most ways.

you posted the equipment for a 1defence pure but gave no explanation to how you can beat jad using these methods.

Steel skin would not suffice while the 360s are around, the 90s would destroy you.

It would be also almost impossible to 'tank' the damage from the healers one 1defence using these methods also

wow you just got lucky this whole time while fighting jad, 1: you got him to get stuck behind the italy rock and you got his healers not to stack on each other so only 1 is hitting you..gratz. just today i was fighting jad and everything was going great i was using rune c'bow and then i tried to attack a healer far away and my noob character moved up and jad melee'd me and hit a 55 on me and then i forgot to switch prayer because of the 55 and then 22 ko. :( gf jad, i'm coming back right now :D

1. the healers now CAN kill you even tho jad is dead

2. jad hitting through prayers for sum reason

3. healers r harder 2 get stuck behind jad now

4. major laggs (dont say it's just my comp because a few of my friends had the same problem

Hmm, Are preayer potions a good substitute for super restores? because I will be healing with guthans therefore there isnt the need for brews then restoring stats, and super restores only give like 2 extra prayer...

no, the super restores dont heal. they only restore your prayer and any stats that has been lowered. the ones that restore your hp r the saradomin brews (the ones that look like str pots)and they also higher your defence, but they lower ur atk stats such as ranged etc. this is why u have 2 combine super restores with saradomin brews
