When I travel I take NOTHING ...just the clothes on my back and credit cards and cellphone. The hotels I stay at have free shampoo,soap,toothpaste and tooth brush. I will find a CVS in town and buy deodorant for $1.00 . I wash my clothes when I take a shower. Hows that for minimalistic. Also they have free internet stations in the lobby.

How has the Kata messenger bag been holding up? Looking to buy a messenger bag.

@RichVoyages It's holding up really well. I traveled for two months with it in Asia, and then took it on a cross country trip, and it hasn't had an problems or shown any signs of wear. I also have a Kata backpack that I've used for the last three years, and that one is also still good as new.
