  • Good attention to detail with the dead paratroops at 3:24 - theres even one hanging from the water tower...

  • How is this cowardly? Do you expect them to stand up and challenge them to a duel? War

has no rules or laws, war is war. Get over it

  • @LostJericho

You express now your opinion I respect, I did the same...

  • An animal its more importan than a human bastard, humans just think on war, war and fucking war :x

  • Guys, at last, what a asshole started the world war two?

  • people that want to watch this its back on the air on spike so better see when its on again :D

  • I don't think guarnere was a psychopath, he was emotional about his brother.

  • I deeply respect the yankee soldiers but in this scene they are just cowards.

In all other situations, they are brave and valiant.

In this one, not at all.

  • @woobinda65 How are they cowards? They are just ambushing the enemy. They are fighting the war and killing their enemy. Where is the cowardice?

  • @SuperClintEastwood

Because this is the easiest way to fight without honour and without any useless danger.

Anyway, I know that this cowardly behaviour belongs to ALL armies.

I just commented THIS scene, not the yankee war...

  • @woobinda65 I know, I am not critisizing you, but the US had two unarmed soldiers and had to use the element of suprise or they could have lost men.

  • @SuperClintEastwood

Ok, you watch this action under a certain point of view.

    I consider it differently.

That is not a military action, just a cowardly personal revenge,

By the way, everything is permitted in war or better, everybody thinks it is...

I keep my opinion, you do the same...

  • @woobinda65 ok

  • @woobinda65

Suggest you read the books related to this incident.

  • @2210ethan

what that book could "explain" me more that watching this scene?... that Yankees in this scene are brave? or that they are just "disappointed" and need something to "do" to cancell the stress they feel?...

  • @woobinda65

Well, you obviously struggle with TV, so perhaps the printed word is easier for you.

  • @2210ethan

both ways could be suitable, it depends on what and how...

  • @woobinda65

Well then I suggest you read the relevant books.

  • well as i recall germans had no problems shooting paratroopers who were stuck in trees and were unable to fight its war this stuff happens and still happens today and happened in every conflict

  • @cutlass0612

you are right, the cowardly behaviour belongs to ALL armies.

May war be damned for eternity...

  • a american is smiling at 3:48

  • @obz211 I can't see any of them smiling?

  • poor horses

  • why the horse private?

  • well the Germans still the best soldiers

  • what the fuck did they go and kill the horses for?

  • @SuperClintEastwood so the germans woudnt have a "stealth like" mode of transportation

  • 1:16 I hear the Germans say that a lot in war films, especially this series. Does anyone know what it means? "Don't shoot"? "We surrender"? The "vivide schishne" part (sorry for completely butchering that, Germans/people that speak German).

  • @Surya112 according to some it means "look I washed for supper"

  • @GorterPoss that made me lol a bit but then i became sad because i remembered how horrific d-day was to both the germans and the americans

  • @Surya112 He said "Bitte nicht schiessen !" -Please don't shoot.

  • @AmersfoortTristan those soldiers just murdered as surrendering man

  • @jorcastify there americans what do u expect!

  • @horrwar The fact they are americans mean nothing.Instances such as these have been reported from all sides.

  • @jorcastify They weren't in any position whatsoever to take prisoners. They were behind enemy lines. Sometimes war just sucks.

Not long after D-day, the Germans committed one of the worst massacres of unarmed POW's known from the war. So, don't worry, they got their payback. And, in case you didn't know the German's had launched a campaign to murder every Jewish man, woman, or child they could get their hands on, it was called the holocaust. Smart'n the fuck up.

  • Comment removed

  • i know a lot about ww2 and the holocaust so don't tell me im thick

  • its war im glad the fucked up those kraut horses lmao

  • @coke378 Kraut hroses??? Animals are neutural you pig. They don't know whats going on and for the record these are french horses the Germans propably stole them from a french farmer.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot i was being ignorant on purpose lollol thank you i forgot i wrote this made me giggle like a school girl ;)

  • @coke378 O okay.....

  • They killed the poor horses ;/

  • @2210ethan Malarkey's still alive, he just turned 90 about 2 weeks ago.

  • guarnere is such a badass he didnt need to reload at all during this

  • @520redhawks he did you just didnt see him when the camera was away

  • @Aznkingdomination you're obviously not a badass

  • @520redhawks and he got the chance to kill Billy Batts permanently

  • PETA better not see this....XD

  • @MaxVerhaag No doubt they'll protest it by having some models strip naked in Times Square, ensuring that everyone's forgotten about the horses entirely.

  • @Salguine I think I'd like to see that..

  • everyone is ok except for the krouts and the horses lol

  • What's the count? 5-6 germans dead and two inocnet animals shot down like some common garbage. Germans exelent but was it worth it?

  • most of these comments are more sad about the horses, not the german troops being slaughted after begging for mercy just trying to protect some farmers getting the crops safely home, no effence but would you rather have about 10 to 13 trooper dead than one animal?

  • @Hornetman777 they shouldnt have started ww2 if they didnt want to fight :p

  • @Hornetman777 It's war my friend. They had to kill them because they had the jump on them. If the Germans had a chance to fight back, they may have lost some men. It's shitty, but so is war.

  • @Hornetman777 Yep

  • @Hornetman777 If German troops I would like 10 - 13 million dead :)

  • @JaegerLeMaserati How would u like 10-13 million of ur own people dead?

  • @Hornetman777

Well if I was in the war, I'd probably feel that I'd done my job if I shot a German soldier. I wouldn't feel that way if I shot a horse. Hope this helps.

  • war is hell

  • ANIMAL CRUELTY!

  • @SquabbiK Greenpeace didn´t liked this part

  • none of ya fukin bisness, cowboy!

  • RIP Horse's

  • who surrenders in the middle of an ambush

  • man they threw a grenade and the horses were still alive...!!!

  • Hall was killed on the assault on the battery at Beurecourt the next morning. He volunteered for the mission after being excluded. He was a solid american, may he RIP.

  • throwin grenades at horses... hard to miss...

  • when the guy surrended i would have grabed him and took him out of the line of fire im a good guy i have a concousins i dont know how to spell it ok so get off my back

  • @anonymoussoldier368

I would have done the same...

  • forgot how Hall died, was it a random explosion that killed him?

  • ''Joe he dont even drink! e__e''

    lol

  • dead guy 3:45

  • @Tommy6545 wow dude how can you see those things?!? It took me a while to find it but then I saw!!!

  • hahaha the Krauts

  • M1 CARBINE AND M1 GARAND, THOMPSON, AND BAR, AND PANZERFAUSTS, AND

  • Q: Bitte nicht schießen!

    A: Bam Bam Bam

  • @ 3:18 i like how the Captain and the guy beside him both have German weapons. a KAR98K and a MP40

  • @Veterans01 you are really observant. They probably got them because they ran out of ammo or maybe because those 2 are really good weapons for that age.

  • @iHaTeThER0uTiNe The KAR98K wasn't better than the M1 Garand. But most soldiers would prefer the MP40.

  • @Veterans01 We can't compare the M1 Garand and the Kar98k.The M1 is a semi automatic carbine. The Kar is a Bolt action. Those weapons are for different positions.A marksman would rather using a kar.The garand is for medium range targets and the kar for long range. Finally the MP40 is for close distance.

  • @iHaTeThER0uTiNe Yea thats a good point. Also you forgot to say the KAR98k was used during WWI. But good point. Don't Compare the M1 and KAR98k.

  • @Veterans01 it wasnt the k98k but the k98. k standing for kurtz (short)

  • @swanyAJ No its K98K. It stands for Karabiner 98 Kurtz. You were partially right. But the K98K came down a long line of Mauser Rifles.

  • @iHaTeThER0uTiNe They had German weapons because they lost there own ones in the drop! The pilots were flying too fast when the paratroopers jumped. They lost anything that wasn't extremely well strapped down.

  • they killed the horses, should've wait for the command to fire =/

  • @HawaiianShooter A horse must die immidieatly after breaking a leg.Otherwise it suffers and dies because the blood cant move around the body correctly.Horses mustn't sit for over 20 mins.THAts why they sleep stood.

  • @iHaTeThER0uTiNe thanks for the hint/fact

  • > Gonorrhea

    > "Shitty name"

    Haha.

  • this makews me want to go play the realistic free FPS Americas Army 3

  • why was gonorrhoea so pissed off?

  • what if you shoot your lieutenant after arguing with him?

  • @phoonjzc His brother was killed in Italy. He found out right before he jumped into Normandy

  • @phoonjzc That would be Treason or even Mutiny in the highest levels of Military Standards. Unless you say you didn't do it or if nobody say you shoot him. Or maybe you say "It was a complete accident discharge of my weapon."

  • Poor horses.

  • I don't speak english, could someone explain me what the yankee is looking for on the unlucky dead german's body? 4:24 and why don't they take down the poor dead yankee paratrooper?

  • @woobinda65

4.24- looking for ammunition (and anything else worth taking, c'est la guerre).

  • @2210ethan

I can't imagine what can be found on a unlucky dead german's body... gold? souvenirs?

  • @woobinda65

Yes to both, but also (and more immediately useful) weapons and ammunition.

  • @woobinda65

specifically a luger pistol for his brother

  • @2210ethan

    Thanks for the information...

That's simply atrocious (robbing a dead enemy) but I understand also it is nothing compared with war...

A german soldier would have made the same...

    War is hell on earth.

  • @woobinda65

Yeah, looting's pretty ugly but taking a dead guy's pistol is nothing really.

  • @2210ethan

at last, did he find anything on him? and why don't they take down the poor dead yankee paratrooper?

Will someone else take "care" of him?

  • @woobinda65

I'm not sure why they don't cut the guy down, perhaps there's simply too many of them and they have to keep going. In 'The Longest Day' they cut them down. I think eventually Malarkey found his luger; he published his memoirs fairly recently in a book called 'Easy Company Soldier'.

  • @2210ethan

I read this comment about his book of memories:"he foolishly risked his own life to retrieve a German Lugar", "The film showed Malarkey fidgeting with his coveted Lugar in the frozen woods outside Bastogne, but could not adequately convey that Malarkey was a hare's frozen breath from committing suicide."

I wonder how many german soldiers have thought the same, how many have felt the same shock.

War is really hell on earth for ALL soldiers...

May they rest in peace now...

  • @woobinda65

Malarkey (who at the time of writing is still alive) saw more continous action than almost any other member of Easy Company, his book is pretty good, he and his comrades did a difficult job pretty well all things considered.

  • @woobinda65 No,american sperm XD

  • @woobinda65 He must have been searching for ammunition,or weapons and generally something useful in thee fights.

  • Judging from this scene Thompson obviously has a 1000 round drum mag.......

  • I want to fight in a real war like this, a uniformed war. I am sick of these pussys we fight now, hit and run, hit and run! And we have our hands tied, they don't let us fight like these men here! We have all these rules, because of of the damn civilians who care more about the enemy, than the people defending and dying for their asses. I wish I served in WW2.

  • Okay the horses were dying!!! The soldier just shot it to save it the pain of a slow death. Cmon! They couldn't have NOT shot the horses in the midst of all that chaos and krouts running everywhere! What about that dead cow in the field? I don't see anyone complaining about that!

  • u.s.a killed the horses

  • @zhanghaobc ya but those Nazi horse probably killed hundreds of Jewish horses lol no but really the horses were in the crossfire and they just put them out of their misery

  • Poor horse. =(

  • the sergeant sure is trigger happy

  • @1937ninjaboy well his brother was killed in north africa i believe and he was determined to get payback

  • @1937ninjaboy

His brother was killed in Italy so he was eager for payback

  • @1937ninjaboy none of your f**king business Ninjaboy! ;D

  • fyne quaka

  • bad fucking movie !

  • @LetsPlayMaster112 its indeed a bad movie, but a good serie

  • The airdrop on June 5th was so chaotic, that sticks of both the 82nd and 101st got mixed in together. So they basically fought on an ad-hoc basis until they could find their units again.

  • do 82nd and 101st usually fight in squads together? i noticed a dude had the 82nd patch on

  • gaunere is badass, my favorite character

  • fucking germansss

  • Comment removed

  • well most horses arent exticnt and plus its all unreal

  • the amirekens they are here. get the mg42

  • there's a body in the truck

  • that guy surrendered in a bad place lol

  • lol you asswipes are really crying over that horse. this is war!!! the horse was dying anyway

  • @futurebestseller84 I do feel bad for the two horses, but like you said, the horse is already dying.

  • FU** BAND OF BROTHERS FOR KILLING THOSE POOR HORSES

  • @rexlego12345 hey you don't know that! they could have been killed by the Nazi's shooting back. would you really just let the horse sit there in pain and die slowly or would you do the right thing and shoot it in the head? plus i don't think the Americans were aiming at the horses i think they were aiming at the Nazi's

  • @goldenbulletwolf666 This is a true story.

  • cool fight

  • a 200 million budget series with more awards than any other series and you lot fight about the horses...

  • Dont hurt the fucking horses what the fuck man

  • thanks for uploading this, it's been hard to find this on YouTube

  • 3.02 Stupid move. They are walking on a narrow trail with no bushes on the side with the sun setting in their back.

Do they have a death-wish ? Jerry could have had a field day !

  • his brother got at a casino, found out b4 we jumped WTF does that mean

  • @sureiguess1 The battle of Monte Cassino.

  • @Kirbyoto2098 thanks for explaining nothing...

  • @sureiguess1 His brother died at the battle of Monte Cassino, and he found out just before they jumped out. That's why he's mad.

  • @Kirbyoto2098 OH. Thank you. Well explained.

  • @sureiguess1

His brother was killed in the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy and he got the letter just before they went into Normandy

  • i'd be heartbroken if i killed that horse, having been around horses since i was a kid you get attached like with cats or even birds etc. but still..that jerry has a gun, kill him..if the horse is in the way badluck

  • @Hardrada88

The Horse was already dying, so they put it out of its misery, besides if they didn't the Horse's moaning would've alerted other German Patrols

  • @snakes3425 True :) just seems a shame

  • german horses = dead horses!

  • harsh but thats war thats wht a soldier needs to be to act without hesitation and without mercy. he can show remorse but later

  • @goldenbulletwolf666 they had to...other wise the horse were wounded and draw more attention to them and even before they need to be in steath when they shot thw germans and the horse were in the way , not saying shooting them was good but it was the only way they could get all the germans killed and obviously if the horses were wounded they would be in pain and slowly die here they just quickly shoot them

  • The thing is when Guarnere never fired the thompson on the Ost regiment. They did this for some reason in the miniseries though. At the time though, Guarnere at the time never recalled having a weapon with him since he lost his on the jump with Lt.Winters and the rest.

  • @Sharkfin7777 Take out the second at the time. I accidentally double typed.

  • Oh yeah fleeing men? the Germans shot paratroops in their harnesses - who couldnt get down or free.

And he did it in revenge of his brother

  • pretty good he shot probly 50 or sixty rounds with out reloading i know they had 20 round mags 30 max!

  • @sharpshooter. I hope you know it's just a fuckin movie. And it wouldn't do u any good to shoot one of your own men just because he shot a surrendering german soldier and they couldn't take any prisoners along. And he isn't an "Italian prick." his name is bill garnere and he's a hero.

  • @pandasoldier321 actually its a tv series so when ur tryin to make a point be sure to define what ur watching...

  • @TheBezs my b.

  • I gladly would have shot that fuck with the thompson in the back of the head. He shot surrendering and retreating men. Fucking short italian prick.

  • @USMCsharpshooter55 And you know what? He'd have pulled the bullet out with his fingers and shoved it up your ass. Bill Guarnere—that "short Italian prick", as you call him—is 87 years old and is still a badder motherfucker now than you will ever be in all your sad life.

  • @USMCsharpshooter55 well, he was pretty much forced to shoot him because there were still some german soldiers fighting off the ambush. Its war buddy, you gotta kill your enemy when you gotta kill your enemy. Nobody has a single moment to think in a situation espeacilly like this.

  • cool Airborne Eagle

  • Why did they kill the horse? It could be useful.

  • @whowantsabighug Because the horse was wounded? Also, bringing a horse with you when stealth is needed is not a wise decision.

  • fuckin hitler got a lot of good people killed.........

  • that's cruelty, anybody asking not to be shot should be taken as prisoner, and soldiers getting away too, never shooting their backs, that's cruelty.

  • @ThepathtotheforesT It's a war all is fair what's cruel is loading children onto trains and cremating them alive in unkempt death camps

  • @DasFuhrerinagstring i agree about children, but not about the other idea.

  • @ThepathtotheforesT Well you need to understand these men faced a life or death situation it's not about compassion and understanding in a combat zone it's him or me you honestly think it was safe for a bunch of paratroopers behind enemy lines to be carrying around multiple hostages?

  • 1:17 "Please dont shoot"

  • @Freiheitswolf what if he said i surrender

  • i feel bad for the horses

  • lol, gonorrhea

  • Goood gojims kill the germans-the germans are baaad gojims and YOU are goood gojims! And when the war is over go back in your whitieee middle class paradise-make in your whole live so much money how we in one year and be proud! You have fight for us and this will fill you with pride for the rest of your life gojim hahaha!
