"I was not referring to children, but to infants (age less than one year"
That is your response to my "It is not a common fantasy of children that their real father is someone else"? That infants fantasize their father is someone else? Why do you believe either one, children or infants, commonly have that fantasy. Not the ones I know.
Also, gnostics were considered heretics by the early church, you can hardly use their ideas to explain Christian symbols. It is like saying the Republican Party wants to legalize marijuana just because you read that the Libertarian Party does.
It is not a common fantasy of children that their real father is someone else. That rarity usually only happens when the parent is a very physically or emotionally abusive one. You are really mischaracterizing that to call it "common". Most children overwhelmingly identify with their actual father if he is present in the family, and often still do even if he isn't.
I was not referring to children, but to infants (age less than one year). Of course is the father extremely important, but this occurs when the child realizes its distinctiveness from its mother.

The church is what claimed ultimate authority of the bible, look at their fruits....did they come from a good tree?
