For all those who don't quite get the short dialogue at 8:21. Odd thing nobody has mentioned that scene in the comments so far.

The guard on the right says: "Du huere Schafseckel!" This is a very offending swearword used in the dialect of Northern Switzerland (aka Swiss German). Sadly, there is no accurate translation, but I think the following may be quite right: "You slutty/dirty sheep penis!"

J'ai le film sur DVD... C'est un chef d'œuvre. Les conservateurs et les puritains n'y comprendront jamais rien, mais "Marquis" est tout sauf vulgaire. Si le film fait l'apologie de la sexualité, c'est pour nous montrer que jouir n'est pas un crime.

Non mais ce qui me plaît énormément ce sont les dialogues. Je ne parle point de l'esprit, mais de la finesse. L'univers a beau avoir l'air tordu et malsain, l'absence de vulgarité (même si ce n'est pas du dialogue d'ange) fait de cette œuvre une œuvre de qualité.
