I think the newer episodes lack originality, and creativity. The simpsons is supposed to be kind of the original cartoon of its style, but all it does now is rip stuff off. The new episodes that are original are still just not good. The old ones are much funnier, much better, much more entertaining and just plain awesome.

This episode actually scared me when I was nine, particularly the Edgar Allan Poe homage. It has also, consequentially, made me an avid Poe fan :D
