  • NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT!

  • What are the differences between the common rail manifold and the vp injected 24 valve manifold?

  • thats the legendary cummins sounds everyone know and loves

  • what flat bed u got their buddy

  • you live in south carolina?

  • @prankster01234

    no georgia

  • how did you run your intake

  • @Cumminsredneck05

i used the stock intake with modified piping

  • no cummins cloud of death? what a shame. the first thing any cummins owner must achieve is the cloud of death.

  • what is the reason for putting the 2nd gen manifold on common rails?

  • @evans3390 to make it sound like a 12 valve or early 24 valve

  • sick ass work truck! what ya pullin with it?

  • so just by swapping the exhaust manifold it gives it a diffrent sound? its sounds like a first gen 24v more than a 2nd gen 24v. sounds really cool.

  • @caseytrt you obviously don't know your dodge cummins' The trucks are separated by body style 89-93 being 1st GEN 94-02 is 2nd GEN 03-09 3rd GEN and some are calling the 10+'s 4th GEN. the two separate 24V engines are distinguished by their injector pumps/style...the 98.5-02 24V's are called VP trucks for the VP44 injection pump and the 03 and up 24V's are called Common rail trucks, because of their common fuel rail.

  • @cumminstexas1 ive owned 2 dodge cummins diesels. i know my dodge diesels. i had a 1st gen now i have a second gen dodge. ive work on these trucks for years. i just didnt know just by changing the exhaust manifold it would change the sound of the common rail.

  • the manifold compared to a stock 24 really shouldnt be ant different, now turbos and exhaust make a big difference!

  • @kubotaorange76

what are you saying will make a big difference? no switching to the 2nd gen manifold wont get you any more power but it will make a large difference in sound.

I heard a 6.7 the other day with a 2nd gen manifold and silver bullet turbo, sounded AMAZING

  • @kubotaorange76 overall theyre not much different, but with the manifolds swapped onto the common rail 5.9 it gets rid of the "honda/ricer tone" to the exhaust

  • I seen the "ats" aftermaket 2nd gen exhaust manifold as a very good product so if I give it a try will I get the same sound as yours??

  • I'd go with a straight pipe

  • @wallbanger1968 i preferred the sound, but all of the above was too loud. I now run a Donaldson 40" straight through

  • @kubotaorange76 was the mbrp resonator louder?

  • @RM250D8rzr

louder than what? the only thing louder was the straight pipe

  • how better in performace does it do with that maninfold i like the deeper sound and nice truck

  • any power differnce from the 3 gen manifold to the 2 gen?

  • i did a swap on my 03 it is quiet i figured it would be loud yours sounds pretty loud but it could be the video

  • Wow that sounds amazing for an 07 cummins, so that manifold is from a 12 valve, or what?

  • man do you live in winston salem nc i seen a truck just like this 2day

  • naw monticello ga

  • thats crazy an exhaust manifold can change the sound of those common rails so much! I dont like how the new dodges sound but yours sounds amazing! lol kinda like my 2000 24valve with 5" straight pipe! =D

  • I like to call it a raspy 2nd gen sound

  • Dude that is one meeann 07 that thing sounds meaner than my 93!

  • it doesn't look good with 1 stack

  • @1chadreed1 i like it to many people have 2 stacks

  • to bad it has a dpf

  • Its a 5.9, no dpf!

  • dpf didnt start until 6.7

  • every common rail owner should have one. Absolutely amazing.

  • man this is awesome, gotta get me a 2nd gen manifold for my 06'.

  • Its worth it, perfect time to swap a turbo with a decent flowing exhaust housing as well

  • well i just have the stock turbo for now, just a smarty, afe intake and straight out bullhaulers. your right, a great time for a turbo swap.

  • damn sounds like my 99.haha

  • why thankyou

  • sickest sounding common rail!

  • thanks man

  • How do you like the cam and how was the install ??

  • i love it, spools the turbo so much sooner...oil stays cleaner as well. The install only took about 6-8 hours if i remember correctly....definitely worth it

  • sounds good

  • SICK!!!!!

  • it sounded better in person even better with no resonator!...i really wish i had something else besides a digital camera to take videos with!

  • This is all done by using a 2nd gen exhaust manifold.

  • 24 valve sound FTW

  • HOLY CRAP r u sure u didn't put a whole other engine in it. I mean geez. That sounds like a frigin beast. DANG, 5/5

  • how did you get it to sound like a 2nd gen?

  • Comment removed

  • Fucking beast!!!
