Instead of experimenting with KI pills when CS137 & I131 contamination is suspected do the following:

contrlol the dust using the water hose NOT dust blower

cover your hair during the rain

do not store or tke food outdoors

limit consumption of a milk (3 weeks after fallout)

wear closed toe shoes

wear dust mask when doing dusty jobs outside

the air will show minimal amount of radiation the most particles can be found on the soil after the rain.

looks like most people here are aware of the whole subject on potassium idodide, the pills vs natural sources, etc. there was also a run on all kelp and chlorella products locally - every store from whole foods to little herb shops were sold out by mid-week.

amazing how it is always something no one expects. haha, all those predictions out there about quakes (that we ALL know are coming), but no one predicts a global run on kelp! mama earth gets the last laugh as always. i'm laughing with...

@alienbluestar Thanks I checked out the website. We have a lot of kelp, miso soup, and other natural sea foods and remedies to offset the rediation. I have lived in Japan for a few years and have experienced earthquakes but this one takes the cake. We are getting them everyday and also the aftershocks.  Anyways I have read your book and I absolutely love it. Keep up the good word. Many Japanese families have gardens and wells so a lot of the people in homes were very well prepared.

The iodine pills for radiation are only effective for aproximatly 2 days and after that it looses effectiveness!

Given that the radioactive steam released by the Fukushima plant contains Iodine-131, inhaling these harmful particles into the body can be quickly absorbed by the thyroid gland. Hence, taking the iodine tablets before exposure would fill up the thyroid gland with iodine, thus preventing it from absorbing the radioactive iodine.

Excellent upload Miriam. I also just uploaded a video on natural remedies for the thyroid (and everything else). Not surprising at all big pharma has the corner on these KI pills! Same answer they always have - but the pills will do little for you if you are in bad health or state of toxicity, inflammation, calcification, etc. We MUST use our god/dess-given heritage...the NATURAL medicines which are bountiful on this planet. Reclaim your heritage - we are all shamans & masters, not victims.

In an effort to calm some fears I would like to point outa fact that a friend shared with me. From 1945 to 1958 there were over 500 nuclear detonations in the desert in this country. The "fallout" from Japan won't be anything like we had here during that period.

iodine is not what they are passing out that has been widely misreported by the media it is potassium iodide that stops the radioactive iodine from bonding with the thyroid

If there is an economical downfall and hyper inflation, it would be great to plant a garden, but you need to know that there will be so much violence and loss of food. Grocery stored have 2 days in storage and the shelves will be empty in hours. When people are hungry they will steal and rob and your garden within a week. What you need more than anything is food and supplies for a year and the most important things are guns and bullets. Believe me, I know.

fyi The thyroid can only hold so much iodine. The idea is to saturate the gland with non-radioactive iodine. The daily rec. value is 150 mcg. The therapeutic dosage for nuclear fallout with potassium iodine (KI) for + 12 y/o is 130mg every 24 hrs. That's about 900 times the daily rec value. A dropper of the liquid iodine is usually 150mcg. So one tablet of KI is equivalent to about 900 droppers of liquid iodine. The liquid supplement is not a substitute for the KI tablet dosage.

With the evacuation of the workers. There is nothing that can be done. Japan is now evacuating all citizens. Pray from these people and surrounding countries. We don't know what is going to happen with this explosion but it will be unlike any bomb that has every went off.
