  • how many do think are guilty because they looked a white man in the eye and he didn't like it? Some of you have the nerve and luxury to be coddled little punk asses who continues to look down on unfortunate people. Then your sensitive beeyotchness causes you to put on a trench coat and off people because your wittow feelings get hurt. Man up and understand folks have had it HARD and so have their forefathers and children. Sing on fellas.

  • Have a white friend arrested for drinking on her front patio. They just want to lock everyone up, the color issue is just to keep as distracted while we daily lose our freedom & it's gonna get a whole lot worse.

  • hey the white boys where there beside them, the chin gangs did not care what color u were,u in jail u were a con, no color just the title of prisoner so please do not get on your soap boxes till u learn the history, learn about the history before u open ur trap, cause moonshiners ran in my family(the white side not the cherokee) so get u facts stright

  • This is how free labor was exploited from blacks after slavery. So sad.

  • @bruin03 It had nothing to do with color it was a way to get shit done and make prisoners actually do something with their time and learn something. if you were in jail whether you were white black yellow puple green they didnt care you werent going to sit around in your cell and do nothing like prisoners do today

  • im from louisiana nd i love this type of music its right from the soul nd you can feel it

  • @Devilchille - there are a whole raft of work songs from Angola

  • @courtland - those weren't slaves - they were work camp prisoners.

  • how many of those men do you think are innocent?

  • I have a black friend who was arrested for drunk driving while standing in his back yard. Came real close to the slow walkin' and sad singin' - only in MIssissippi

  • @poet625 only thing closer to that is what goes down here in Louisiana.......

  • Love this song and bless those slaves because they made history in America too.
