    L&N Grey Scheme

  • Wow nice video.. very knowledgable and very interesting to hear the details.. and you have such a professional voice!

I must chuckle though.. mid 30s is cold? Mid 30s here in mid January is indian summer!

  • Well Danny it's getting warmer and I'll bet you are glad about it . I am sense it allows me to catch some trains on the CSX P&A Sub . There still trains running on there expecially the local and i notice some of the Q trains are comming back though here and some K trains .

  • They were ripping out some track from Venice to Sarasota explain to me why they did that

  • Have you been out of Florida filming trains

  • Hey can you tell me when they abandon the SCL line from Dunnellon to Dade City

  • Would you please give me the link to there channels. Thanks!

  • I'm not sure what you mean.

    DH

  • I mean the link to the railfans whose YouTube names you mention. I want the link to their channels.

  • kenjr29mfl and Mista7foot.

  • Awesome video! I caught #5204 a while back on Q174.

  • Does anyone want to be friend. please I just joined youtube a week ago

  • Where did you get your railroad scanner from? It would be cool to have one in the car so when driving you can just drive and listen for trains.

  • I swear, people will railfan in any weather conditions under any circumstances. My friend from NY went railfanning right after the ball dropped on New Years, and I KNOW it was much colder than 38. ;)

  • I always see the really neat stuff when I go railfanning in bad weather. You've just gotta dress for the conditions.

  • you call 37 degrees horrible? Come to IL. I was 7 when I was railfanning.

  • yeah and its 10 below here

  • 2 Degrees in Battle Creek

  • Hey Danny,

I have noticed at the Vitis Junction that CSX is changing motive power as well as crews lately. More than a few times, even Saturday, they have cut the power loose to run to Winston and brought other units back. Is this getting to be a new power swap spot for engines to get serviced at Winston?

  • Got anymore videos to upload? There just do good. Keep it up.

  • Excellent as always Danny! Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome Footage, 5 Stars!

  • 38 F, Ha !! Try 18 to 16, Danny Come on up north and Freeeeeze with us, in Tally.

  • Danny, How are U man !! I caught some action on Plant Street, yesterday but I had no camcorder only my cell phone, it was carrying rock, it went on the GF&A line west, what's out west that uses Rocks ? I know Englehard is in Quincy, FL.

  • you have the best CSX railway videos on youtube. you make good narration , i like how you incoorparate the hiways your driving on even. i like them very much. i hope you make some for quiet a while.

  • I really like your videos so don't stop making them.

  • Danny...lets see here...those SD40-2s were new and came in FL paint...then Seaboard System...then probably one of the earlier CSX versions before the current one...that makes 4!!!

Who knows just how many CSX versions they got...LOL Stay warm!!!

  • Excellent video, Danny.

  • another great one.i liek the consist on the last train.

  • Danny I always enjoy your videos as I am a CSX fan from the land down under. Picture, sound and content are excellent keep them comming.

    Regards

    Greg

  • Great Video Thank you

  • Nice ex Reading Company GP39-2 at 3:44!! The RDG got them in 1974 and they remained on the Reading until 1976 when the Reading became a part of conrail April 1 1976. After that they became D&H and then went to CSX!

  • ha -30 here

  • Keep up the good work. Thanks!

  • Great video you put together! It was nice to have met you there. Thanks for putting me in there with Ken. Too bad the K797 messed up on me that morning.

  • Great job as always Danno!

  • Another great job Dan

  • It was 24 this mornin in Pensacola! I thought this was FLORIDA not ANTARCTICA! XD

  • 24.... hah

  • Yup Derailedtrain666, we have a 30% chance of snow Thursday night! And this is in FLORIDA!

  • Oh my, am i supposed to be worried? come on, Yall have it easy.

  • Do the railroads take the old paint off before repainting the units or do they just paint right over the old paint? If so, would it be possible to see the old paint if the new paint was to come off?

  • Omg i just moved to Florida, lol. It was freezing. :P

  • very nice, the CR and D&H mentions were also a plus, especially for those of us who are from that region.

  • Outstanding video, Danny! Wow, seems two more lucky railfans finally met you. :P I really loved to see the monster Q652 and Q452 trains.

  • Nice see those SD40-2s. CSX doesn't run many of those up my way anymore.

  • Great video. 38 degrees? That's sunbathing weather!

  • Outstanding video Danny 5***** and favorite

  • Another great video Danny! Q652 and Q452's size can easily be explained in that CSX was making up for lost days due to the New Years shut down. That was the first 452 to run in 2010.

  • Another great one danny!

  • It hasn't got above 20 here for the past week. 38 sounds pretty warm. :-)

  • I'm in BC Canada its winter its like -28C, or around -20F

  • Wow!!

How do you guys LIVE in that kind of cold? My hat's off to you. Guess railfanning tough in temps like that, too.

  • You don't go when its dark, and you stay inside your vehicle.

  • You will get used to the cold in time, this year is the coldest weather I've seen since I've been in Fort Nelson BC, we had a week of -40 and a lot of -30s, where I'm from Kirkland Lake Ontario, it would be -40 for 3 weeks, then -52C, or around -65F, with windchill like -75F Lol. THATS COLD, and you stay indoors on days that cold. Oh yeah the Irony is I can wear a t-shirt in -20C no problem when I used to smoke Lol, builds up tolerance Lol.

  • so much for Algore's (yes, all one word, for satire) global warming........ ;) lol

  • Actually what they said weather is gonna get worsened, its starting to get colder in winter but hotter in the summer, notice the early tornado and hurricane seasons, although it could be because the climate may restart itself or literally just changing Lol.

  • @distantsignal pshh thats nthin it gets to be about 10 degrees or less aroun where i am, so quit the belly achin

  • either way 38F is a great temp to railfan. lol.

  • Great video, Danny. Thanks for including me and Mista7foot in your video. 5*****

  • 1st view! and cool vid man, 38 plus? lol im in the -38 degree
