  • do try to sell some!

  • do try to sell some!

  • why not make tiny 4ch bi-plane? xD That's my challenge for you, microbilder!

  • @lolziloveminecraft I have actually built a couple micro sized 4 channel biplanes, but they were built sometime after I made this clipshow so they havent been seen. Once I build a few more projects I'll have enough for a 2nd video.

  • @microbuilder colud you send me a info about the plane on 2:04 pls?

  • @RCkid2726 That is a ToonRacer in P-51 markings that i drew up on CorelDraw. All balsa construction, 8.5" span, 7mm SuperSlick motor, GWS 3x2 prop cut down to 2 inches, cheap 2 channel rudder/throttle RX, 0.6 gram actuator for rudder, 145mah lipo, 15 gram AUW. You can probably still find plans for it on RCGroups in the Micro and Indoor forum.

  • @microbuilder oh, one more thing, could you make a video of that formation plane flying? (I won't mind any music! ;) )

  • @squigy97 Thanks :) I dont have any video of the formation flyer, I dont really remember what I did with that one, I built it back in '06 so its been a while! There are some other formation flyer planes on youtube I think.

  • I think the one with the three jets in formation was pretty cool. Great job!

  • At last, a BUILDER who displays creativity and flair in their pursuit of the hobby. While it can be good for many, buy and fly gets a bit old, after a while. Don't mind me but I get a bit annoyed when some one declares that they "built' A READY TO FLY.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

    I like the music too.

  • @hopeso Thank you!

  • @microbuilder You're welcome. I finally found some 1mm Depron and you've inspired me to get the lead out and build something for the gym. I have in mind an exact scale, Lazy Bee, sized for the Parkzone, Cessna gear. I can shrink the plans down to any size but can you suggest a wingspan?

From there, I hope to follow your lead and get creative.

  • How did u make the one at 1:42?!?

  • @ozvooky I used a foam called Durobatics to make that one. Its a great product, but unfortunately, the its kinda spendy and hard to find.

  • @kre8tinfx Thanks, it seemed fitting.

  • Where is the version without audio? I would rather watch that.

  • @FesterBable Hit mute ;)

  • @microbuilder No. I am not watching videos with annoying background music. People should stop editing that crap into them.

  • @FesterBable I agree, most videos have terrible music, which is why the mute button is so wonderful - you can watch the video without the annoying music. Perhaps when you upload your first video you can edit it as you like (then surely someone will post that they either dont like your music, or complain that you didnt put any on...cant please everyone ;) ).

  • what kind of balsa do you use for the micro ultimate and do you have a pdf of it or something because i really want to make it

  • @ninjapicklez69 I believe I used 1/16th for the formers and wings, and 1/32 for skinning the fuselage, but its been a while since I built that. If you go to google and do a search for micro ultimate rcgroups, the first result it brings up should be the micro ultimate thread that I built the plane from, there's a number of plans, drawings, pics and other very useful info there.

  • Cool ! Did all of them fly?!

  • @redzir1 A handful didnt, but the rest did.

  • @jackapac1999 Thanks, that one was a nightmare to trim!

  • U got talent!

  • @fireblade4727 Thanks!

  • Wow! Some r really cool!!

  • can anyone tell me the name of the plane at 0:55 please?

  • @CrosseyedEpicFace P-38 Lightning

  • @nitroairplane. There are plans available for the micro ultimate at rcgroups.com. Go to the Micro and Indoor forum and search for micro ultimate. It's been built many times by many people and it's quite a plane.

  • do you have plans for the ultimate micro?

  • Any tips on repairing that horrible magnet wire that powers the actuator ? I have a Megatech Avion and have made my own balsa wings and tail but have broken the magnet wire for the rudder and can't solder it, it's also enamelled too.

  • can i have that small f-22 raptor plzzzzzzzzzz

  • @beast10165 I dont recall building a Raptor...what time does it show up in the video?

  • @655JT Thank you!

  • at 3:27 do you have plans for that micro biplane that you are holding in your hand

  • @nitroairplane Yep, thats a F.R.O.G. Pup biplane. If you go to houseoffrog.co.uk you'll find a ton of plans, they all build very quick and easy and fly nice too.

  • Hey, Your having way to much fun with those cute little planes :) very nice builds, Take care and have fun, Chellie

  • @CHELLIE2408 Thanks!

  • nice stuff, I'm looking to build something new out of a parkzone UM Sukhoi xp... thinking the blastrc pitts.... great inspiration, thanks for the video...

  • @axelsfolks Go for it!!

  • @axelsfolks Go for it!!

  • the one at 1:44 did u just make it or did u have plans?

  • @I used plans, a micro plane called the BLOP (I think...its been a while). I just shrunk them down. Its somewhere in the Micro & Indoor or Micro RTF forum at RCGroups(dot)com.

  • @655JT Thanks!

  • 3:08 is that a xtwin receiver with a magnetic actuator mod ? truly amazing amount of different things you have tried :) what would you say really worked well for xtwin radio , im guessing 1.02 flew well

  • @jinxym The one at 3:08 was actually controlled with a JMP combo RX, I think the only picture I ever took of one of the planes I used the actuator mod on was one of the balsa Stryker F-27s, and it didnt have the mod done to it yet when the pic was taken. Figures. The glider flew great, it would get small awfully fast and really didnt like to come down!

  • so here i am the proud owner of 2 xtwin biplanes , 1 for as is flying and the other for my own builds , just wanted to say that some of your designs are brilliant ! you just cant beat buying a cheap toy then stripping it for the radio lol regards a fellow table tinkerer

  • @jinxym Thanks you! And I agree, the bang for the buck factor is hard to replicate with cheap simple gear and homebuilt flying things.

  • i was wondering how to build the plane at 0:55

  • @stephenfrazer1 I just used foam dinner plates or meat packing trays. Used a plastic grocery back for the skirt, AirHogs AeroAce electronics for thrust and steering, and a 7mm motor with its own lipo for lift.

  • i was wondering how to build the plane at 0:55

  • wat foam did u use on the micro ultimate biplane

  • @LILKillazone96 Its a product called CellFoam 88, by Midwest Products. Its 3mm thick (comes in other sizes), very similar to depron foam.

  • do they alllllll fly ?

  • @killerbeenl No, there were handfull that just refused to fly...some are just stubborn that way.

  • awesome planes, very good job...

  • @WarbirdFan66 Thanks!

  • im doing this plane 0:48

  • @michaelda94 The P-38 is perfect for the AirHogs gear, I built quite a few of them and all but one flew great

  • Loved your slide show!

    Keep it UP

  • @makikiverde Thank you!

  • what equipment did u use? plantraco?

  • @Blinkerman909 A lot of the gear was AeroAce electronics and other cheap RTF plane guts, otherwise I used a 72mhz JMP RX or Spektrum RX.

  • F. nice man yeaa

  • @seppekhu Thanks!

  • can you send one to my house?

  • whats the plane @ 2:10

  • @Randomshit1353 Thats a Micro Ultimate, plans are available online. Do a search on google for micro ultimate rcgroups, the first link should be for the page that has all the info on it. Its a pretty good plane.

  • @microbuilder cool but can it be made from plastic and not foam i hate foamies!

  • @Randomshit1353 It would have to be a very thin and lightweight plastic to keep the weight down, but that should work. Balsa works great too.

  • @ 3:00 = the largest plane you've made

  • @Randomshit1353 I've actually built a 6 foot span plane before, that little bipe was only 6 inches, building small is harder I think...

  • Wow! I am currently just getting into the RC hobby with 1 (soon to be 2) planes.

This video was incredible and showed me a new side of the hobby that was quite inspiring! =) I would love to create micros but wouldn't know where to start as far as micro parts go (very micro!!) and the construction proccess. As sk8foreverk suggested, it would be awesome if you could make some sort of tutorial or 5 minute walkthrough of the general process as you make one of your micro models

    Thank you greatly!

  • @electricviolinpownz Thanks! check out rcgroups com, litterally everything I learned about micro RC was learned from their Micro and Indoor forum, the Micro RTF forum is quite handy too. Its a fun side of the hobby, ParkZone has made it more accessable (and cheaper!), but nothing beats a scratch buit!

  • please make a tutorial

  • @sk8foreverk I havent built much lately, but if I do I'll try to remember to take pictures of the process and post it.

  • from parkzone ultra micros

  • How did you make the servo on the plane at 0:06 ??

  • @LEDking1 That plane used a magnetic actuator rather than a normal servo for the rudder. I used the guts from a WattAge MicroFlyer for that plane, which was one of the very first planes I ever built

  • what are some good websites to buy parts?

  • @RCMaster220 These days, Parkzone gear is a good way to go, you can get pretty much everything from them from a lot of differant websites. bsdmicrorc com is a good place too for other micro gear.

  • where did u find such a small electronic prop?

  • @baeronautics you can get small props from a number of online vendors, like bsdmicrorc(dot)com.

  • nothing better than buying a cheap little rc or infrared plane then stripping it down to its electronics :) cheap fun + you can make as many kinds of plane your fingers can cope with lol, like them all regards a fellow micro builder

  • @jinxym thanks!

  • I like the flying cube concept, just somthing one would not expect to see flying around in the air.

    nice work!

    peace

  • @porousorifice Thanks, the flying Fender Champ has been one of my favorites, a Borg cube would be cool too.

  • i like the orange and white bi plane at 3:27

  • @rambo45889 Thanks, thats a F.R.O.G. Pup bipe, you can find free plans online for the plane if you do a search for it on Google. Its a pretty simple plane to build and flys well.

  • Wow! thats a lot of planes, im well impressed. Looks like you had a lot of fun and time on your hands. One can only assume you dont have kids.

  • @jhunt6969 Nope no kids! Thanks :)

  • your micro planes are amazing i love how some of the plane u design it on your own .. very creative and good work thanks for sharing with us !

u must love today technology of micro electronics then because its smaller lighter and powerful in term of rang and long lasting.

  • @AuroraCypher Thanks! Yes todays electronics are quite convenient, back just 5 years ago the electronics side of things made the hobby even more of a challenge, now its almost too easy!

  • impresionante es lo que yo siempre he querido hacer quiero que me enseñes

y esos motores pequeños los quiero conseguir

  • you have too much time on your hands dude! lol nice planes

  • @jordanmtoth Thanks!

  • I like the planes in formation plane

  • @ramicaza Thanks, that one did turn out looking kinda cool. I had built it too small though, if it had flown, it would've been fast! It would be worth trying again.

  • Microbuilder you truly have extreme talent. I'd love one of those just to watch fly. I build bigger foamies for 3D but Then never look nice. I like your style and builds. Its amazing.

  • @smeelokilo Thank you, I cant fly 3D worth a darn, but building big is a lot easier than building small!

  • very good. I am french and I like all the planes fly. I go see Rc groups...Thank you for all photos...Tchaoo

  • i like you planes and helicopter

  • @Javimatos69PLUS1

    Thank you!

  • Do you have plans for the micro ultimate bipe at 2:10. Also, what's the wingspan of it and what's It made of

  • If you go to RCGroups(dot)com, and do a search for Micro Ultimate, you'll find a thread with the plans and several builds. I cant remember the wingspan off the top of my head, but it was around 12 inches I think.

  • ???what's the title of the song?. :) btw nice vid!!

  • Thanks! The song is called Soar, by Ben Arnold, the album is Almost Speechless (if you like acoustic stuff, his Solo CD is excellent).

  • dude, best video ive probaly ever seen. and it wasnt even a video!!!! all that in only 4.5years! dude, your my idol!!! i would love to do that.

  • Thanks!! I didnt really know how to build anything when I first started, but I learned. Check out RCGroups(dot)com, they have an Indoor and Micro forum, its pretty much where I learned everything.

  • hiya. might you please tell me of a company who supplies motors, actuators, servos, and receivers other then plantraco and parkzone? thanks

  • Hi, I would try bsdmicrorc(dot)com. They've been around a long time and I've done business with them several times, they're a great micro RC vendor.

  • Hi again, tanks for the quick reply. i did some digging around my old "rc model world" magazines and took a peek at the light flight section i never used to read since I'm also into nitro power, and i found some good suppliers closer to home in the ads. Now I'm thinking of buying Futaba's r6004ff receiver, weighing in at 3.3g without the plastic case. Is this adequate for something like your micro ultimate? Please help since i can't find anyone who's into models like this in Malta.

  • 3.3g might be a bit much for just the RX, but it depends on what other gear you would use. You can always scale the plan up a bit if the weight gets too high.

  • how did the witch fly?

  • Poorly, unfortunately. A mix of bad thrust line and incidence angle caused it to slowly lose altitude. I think I have a video of it in my uploaded videos.

  • AWESOME

    RESPECT!!!!

  • Thank you :)

  • all were awsome

  • Thanks!

  • yes i keep build a rc micro planes hey where did you get parts from some x twin planes ?

  • Yep, a lot of my planes have been powered by X-Twins/AeroAce guts, hard to beat them for their simplicity and cheap price.

  • man you are AWESOMEEEEE !!!!! now i am you fan :D these planes are just PERFECT i am too rc micro plane builder i am just 12 yers old but these planes are yay i want one of these i want 0:55 sec cai i buy it plzzzzzzzzzzz ?

  • Thanks! The P-38 at :55 seconds no longer exists, so I couldnt sell it. It was a good flyer though, and the P-38 is one of the great classics. Keep building and flying!

  • sorry i posted b/f i looked, anyways your shit is HOT !! good for you man ,i would love to see some of them fly

  • Thanks!

  • what do you use for your r/c gear?

  • great work man, your pretty darn good at fiddly shiz!

  • Thanks, smaller fingers (and better eyes) sure would make things a lot easier though.

  • wow... i'm not a fan of all the styles of planes you built but i definately have to say that you can build small airplanes better than anyone i've ever seen.. i have seen some of those planes on RCGroups i'm pretty sure. Awesome builder!

  • Thank you! If you think I'm good, do a search for rguillot, NitroCharged, or Joe Malinchak (to name just a few) on RCGroups to see folks who can outbuild me with their eyes closed :D

  • wow i try to be like u onli problem i run out of balso wood.. i dont no were to get good ideas and my mum goes though my room weekly and get rid of all my electronics :(.... also i rekon u should recored some of these planes... and i loved some of the look nice work!

  • Thanks! Try foam dinner plates instead of balsa, a stack of plates in your room might look a little less conspicuous than a sheet of balsa...or maybe not ;)

  • Did the one that looked like the P-38 fly?

  • Yep, I think only one of the of P-38s I've built didnt fly (that one never got pictures taken of it, so it wasnt in the clipshow). Its a great micro plane to build with AeroAce or ParkZone electronics.

  • Thank you for the great advice I want to try to build one do you go to like the hardware store for the balsa and the internet for the electronics. One other question do you have videos of you flying theme? Not just the p-38 but all of theme.

  • Sorry for the late reply here. I have one or two videos of two differant P-38s, but the quality is so poor I never bothered posting them.

  • me encantan tu avioens ene special los DLG

  • gracias!

  • those are sweet do they all fly?

  • Thanks. Not all of them flew, but the majority of them did.

  • Very nice works!!!!

  • Hi microbuider could you please tell me what material you used to make the model at 3:48 please it would be help full because i am looking it to making my own rc planes.

  • Hi. The material for the plane at 3:48 is a type of foam thats used for potting fake plants. It works great for carving out shapes, but its very fragile and not exactly light weight. Might work if you keep the plane small and light, but I wouldnt suggest it for anything over an ounce. Good luck!

  • Sweet/ nice/ what song is this?

  • Thanks! The song is called Soar, by a very unknown band called Ben Arnold.

  • the pitts is amazing

  • some of those designs are AMAZING

  • Thanks!

  • Please tell me you didn't actually build all these planes! Man, that's incredible! Do you have a team of robotic assembly machines working for you? Or maybe a couple of teenage sons? How is it possible to put out that much cool stuff in such a short span of time? And colored/painted, as well! You've gotta be using computer-controlled androids or something.

  • Micro RC is like a crack addiction, or perhaps like Pringles chips...once you start, you cant stop. No androids or teenage sons here, just a heavy fascination for a great hobby. Thanks for the kind words!

  • Ecxactly! :D

Just how it is supposed to be! :)

Really nice video Your designes are just wonderfull :)

    greets william ^^

  • Thank you. Only a couple of the planes were my own designs, the rest were all done with 3 view drawings I pulled off the internet or at RCGroups - without RCG, I'd still have no idea what I was doing.

  • No problem, and yes, RCGroups - couldnt live without it! xD
