Sorry boys, I didn't make up Obama's winning most liberal award, it was done by a watchgroup comparing his record to others.
Obama was also knee deep in FFMAC that caused this financial crisis, suing banks to force subprime loans, working for and sending money to ACORN who terrorized banks into subprime loans. Only an idiot at this point thinks it all the republicans fault. FFMAC has always been democrats baby, deregulated under Clinton before Bush, Clinton says its the dems as well.
Health care should be open and available to all no matter how much money you have, looking at the system in the USA from another country seems like a history lesson on how things where in the past in Europe before universal healthcare came in, and you don't see poor Doctors or specialist under a universal system.
i like the way davis thinks. almost aways agree, not because its popular to agree with him no his videos, i just agree its good to use your mind and have your own thoughts and not the thoughts of what you watched on fox, cnn, or msnbc.
wake up america, or welcome in the next 3rd world country.
America is not going to wake up. Specially now that it will be struggling to find ways to take care of basics = survival needs. This is the ideal situation for corruption to thrive. I'm from Brazil, I've been there. It's waaaaay too late.
When it comes to Obama vs. McCain...i'd like to quote Lewis Black;
"It's like having a choice between two bowls of shit. You choose the one that smells less, but after you have to eat it, you'll wish you'd have chosen the other one."
Vote Obama to keep McCain out of office. Like the Hermit, I supported the underdog, Kucinich, in the primaries, but it is very important to keep McCain out of office, and wasting your vote by voting "different" would be a bad choice for this election cycle.
If there ever comes a time when most Americans really start paying attention and thinking for themselves, we might end up with a great president the likes of Dennis Kucinich. For now, vote Obama. We need to send the Republicans packing!
Are you saying that the state of America right now, with what is happening with the economy, unemployment, and the war, is the status quo? We all know that this election cycle is extremely important, so I am not sure what you are talking about. I am NOT a Democrat. I am voting NOT-McCAIN, which in this case is a vote for Obama.
Furthermore, Obama says that he will support Israel, support a nuclear first strike on IRAN, support invading Pakistan and caring nothing for their sovereignty, support the war in Afghanistan, support increasing the already bloated military budget, support the furtherence of the unitary executive, support unwarranted searches of american's information, support wall street bankers over the american worker, and he wont even get out of iraq!
I'd rather have McCain Lite than full-on McCain. What about supreme court justices? McCain intends to appoint ultra-conservative freedom-steeling, constitution-raping Judges to the supreme court who want to overturn Roe v Wade!
Evolution? (Palin doesn't believe in it).
Global warming? (Palin doesn't believe in it).
Church/State separation? (Neither side is great on that one, but republicans are always worse).
The way McCain is running his campaign reminds me how Bush is ruining America.
i have to say i agree with you on all the crap palin would bring to a mccain administration.
However, need I remind you we have such measures to check the judiciary. The Senate can always reject confirmation (especially if the dems win the Senate) and we can always make a constitutional amendment to override the judiciary.
I am an atheist, and so agree especially with church state separation and teaching evolution in schools, but like you said-obama isnt much better
I am also worried about the state of the separation of powers, the unitary executive, civil liberties, american imperialism and aggressive foreign policy.
I just cannot hold my nose and vote for Obama even if he is better on all counts (which is a very big IF).
Obama is just THAT BAD. I cannot vote for him because he is too bad. If the differences were a bit starker between obama and mccain, i might have something to vote for, but as it stands-i just cant tell the two apart policywise
I do not wish to endorse Barack Obama's policies, the democratic enabling of the unitary executive, or the destruction of our economy, our military, or our standing in the world due to an Obama or McCain administration.
So I just cannot vote for him.
It also blows my mind that McCain and republicans could be as high as they are in the polls. It amazes me, given what republicans have subjected us to. They should never have the opportunity to reenter politics.
fuck the election, bring the troups home, set fire to the pentaglegon and drag all candidates bleeding and screaming on to the streets and make them eat dog shit. And piss on them as dying.
ah Davis, you amaze me with your amazing speed of wit... i dont know how you rattle all of that off so fast without stumbling over your own words :D
...anyone might think you cared ;-)
i just hope whatever happens in your election that it leads to a better america in some way, because you have all put up with a lot of crap for a long time.
He is not a moderate unless you are a communist. He was shown to be the most liberal in the senate on his record, do you not read the news at all? Obama's buds and his stances, when he has the guts to make one are all liberal, his work w/radical ayers to fund radicalization of american students thru programs like ACORN is enuf to tell you where he stands. Sheesh, stop drinking to koolaid people.
DAVIS- You are featured in on the YT home page in that Politico video (the video this is a response to)- but they cut out the meat of your video- the part when you speak of Nader, the Commision of Presidential Debates, and "corporate media" ....
EVERYONE....... Everyone go the video that this is a response to and flood the comments asking why Politico cut out refrences to NADER, SINGLE PAYER, etc.....
Show me a politician who isn't full of shit and I'll show you a unicorn. It comes down to a choice between the lesser of two evils, the really good presidents like Lincoln or Washington are a matter of chance not choice.
Vote McCain Palin, becuase a one party government is sure to screw us up even more, especially w/a radical liberal like Obumski we would have serious problems.
"Show me a politician who isn't full of shit and I'll show you a unicorn."
Ron Paul, now where's my unicorn?
Hell, let's add Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel to the list. Just because you might disagree with them doesn't mean that they are full of shit (I consider a politician to not be full of shit if I feel they truly have the country's best interests in mind, so all of those guys would qualify IMO).
"especially w/a radical liberal like Obumski we would have serious problems."
LOL! Thanks for the laugh! Not only is Obama strikingly similar to McCain in many policies, but he's also actually a bit conservative. Don't believe me? Check out the chart at politicalcompass dotorg, he's not even left of center.
Radical liberal my ass. Ignorance is bliss, isn't it?
It must be as you giggle along. Obama was most Liberal on the senate, he has radical buddies Ayers, Wright etc...for decades and you believe he is centric? His voting record should make that clear buddy, he votes 97% party and is to the left of everyone but Mao.
Yeah, except...not at all. He voted to re-authorize the patriot act. He will pursue a military solution with Iran and continue this so called "war on terror". He is a moderate rock star hiding behind a mask of so-called "change". Being most liberal in this senate is like being the voice of reason in a mental institution. It's really not that hard to do, and it certainly doesn't make you worthy of being president.
Most liberal? Gravel was a senator, and he's WAY more liberal than Obama! In fact, he's ACTUALLY liberal! The fact is that Obama is a slightly conservative moderate... somewhat liberal when it comes to American politics, but not liberal at all on the political spectrum, and clearly you cannot call someone a "radical liberal" when they aren't even left of center.
Post all the dumb comments you want; the facts will continue to contradict them.
Well remember, a lot of Obama's criticism will come from dumb foot soldier republicans who believe he is a "far left socialist" out to convert us all to "Islam".

He's saying that Obacain are full of shit! and guess what? HE'S RIGHT! Obacain elected will be the end of the United States! Fleetwood is trying to WAKE THE SHEEP UP!!!!!!!! I am as well by uploading shocking information about the criminals that control your family's future!
Fuck Obama fuck Mccain fuck palin Americans wake up Stop the elections Warning Both CANADATES ARE THE WRONG MAN FOR THE JOB stop settling for the lesser of two evils thats like choosing the chainsaw or the clever which one is going to give u less pain STOP THE FUCKING ELECTIONS.TURN OFF THE TV GET OFF THE FUCKING COUCH AND WAKE THE FUCK UP we are on the brink of destructions what u really want to see how bad things can get fuck u leave that shit to the scifi books and movies.
McCain delivered a couple of zingers in Obamas direction.
At one point he suggested that Obama 932 million in pork projects under his name (Obama didnt touch it, so that must be true) there were a couple more to do with Obama receiving cash that Obama didnt dare even approach to defend himself.
Even on McCain side (the king of NO PORK) the bailout was jammed with extras in pork and McCain pushed it through faster than a clumzy librarin droppin knowledge, that doesnt quite work does it!
ummmmm . . . you forgot to say, "I stay in so that you can go out."
You know we've come to count on that, don't you?
Does this mean that you're going to climb out of the basement? Will we be running into you at the corner market and the gas station? I'm not sure we can handle that. I think it would be too weird.
Debates aren't fair? Didn't you get your question asked in the YouTube debate? You poor marginalized man. Maybe you should have asked about health care instead of asking a question directed only at Mr. Kucinich about something else.
why, couragetolive . . .*blush* . . . i'd love to drink & dance w/ you until the ball drops . . . after that we can plant some tomatoes, bake bread in brick ovens, raise chickens and learn how to milk goats. It might actually be fun.
What do you call the $700 billion+ bailout besides a taxation? And how & with whom was that deal cut? We were menaced with the threat that if we did not bailout treasonist trillionaire terrorists they would lose our jobs & our ability to house & feed ourselves & our children; and even though congress appears to have given them what they wanted they continue to hold our future hostage . . .
Even talking about a single payer health care plan is pointless. The health care industry has donated enough money to the campaigns of every single person of both parties that would have to vote for it that it will never happen.
crazycatfguy: wouldn't it be great if the healthcare industry gave away all those bribes in vain? What if Nader got elected?
I think the status quo politicians truly fear Nader who isnt controlled by corrupt corporations because they know hed blow their party politics, hidden agendas and secret alliances all to hell. The glut-fest would be over, and many would be prosecuted for treason.
That is why I still support Obama. Even if by some miracle Nader won (which I wish would happen), he would have no help from Congress and he would end up looking bad in front of the media driven people. He would look bad because Congress would screw him over.
Can you imagine what someone like Nader could do about our fictional monetary system if he were actually allowed to lead? You know hed abolish the FED & clean up the IRS. What about the bloated governmental bureaucracies and lawless private institutions which have criminally skimmed & milked our social programs? Hes held forth on healthcare. Id love to hear more about his plan for education & social securty.
KissMeImPunk: you're right. And those who are or were in elected office who knew or had reason to know that these things are not constitutional, and who have failed to act with due diligence to correct them, are guilty of treason.
"Have faith, this economy is going to recover over time. I wish I could snap my fingers and make what happened stop. But that's not the way it works."
mopsius: I've wondered about that, too. From earlier Fleetwood videos it appeared that he was working for Kucinich. I assumed he disappeared from YT during the height of Kucinich's run for president because of time spent on the road or something.
Now, Fleetwood is pushing Nader. Does this mean that Kucinich doesn't really support Obama and is merely toting the party line because he wants to keep his seat in Congress?
Someone or something is trying to guide undecided voters in a direction that is hard to determine. The McCain/Palin ticket is such a joke that it appears that the Repubs never intended to win this election. They set themselves up to lose. They pulled out of Michigan??
If that's true then which direction are the Repub's public relation manipulators manipulating us into going? My guess is toward Obama who simply represents the other head of the same snake.
"Have faith, this economy is going to recover over time. I wish I could snap my fingers and make what happened stop. But that's not the way it works."
Excellent fleetwood. Unfortunately, the few american's that do vote always whore their vote away, thinking they actually have some "say" in the election of one of the two candidates.
what was it, 68 ppl died from international terrorism yet 18,000 ppl die for lack of health insurance? Time for a WAR ON LACK HEALTH INSURANCE. Its MURDERING AMERICANS, that nasty ruthless lack of health insurance. Its watching you, plotting. Be careful.
Want real change? Vote third party. Enough of corporatism. Corporate sponsored candidates and corporate media -- tune it all out, and tune in to Nader/Gonzalez.
I was going to vote for Ralph Nader till I read your comment. Now I will vote for Obama as I guess killing people in other countries isn't so bad if a Democrat is doing it.
I do assume you have evidence to support your "fact" and that you will soon be sharing it with us all.
2 reasons to vote for Obama taken from last nights debate:
1) Obama considers health insurance a RIGHT.
2) Obama addresses pre-existing conditions as a major problem that needs to be front and center in any health care debate.
After years of brainwashing about the evils of "socialized medicine" and government controlled health care, and wait times for care propaganda being fed to us by conservatives, Obama's stance may be the only way he can get elected. and the only chance we have.
Such a happy image--"sunflower". Didn't Vonnegut draw a schematic picture of an asshole that looked like a sunflower? Or was that a star. Either way in your case, sunflower1997, it is a convenient target.
so what, let them wade thru the blood and see what they've done and what they really are as men. history has already shamed them, no matter what the outcome.
Once again I agree, for-profit health care IS THE PROBLEM however voting for Nader is not the answer. Face it Dav the best man doesn't always win.
I appreciate your passion for this subject dav and I believe as you, that we need to get Big insurance and Pharma out of the equation. However I'm also a realist and a vote for Ralph Nader would be a waste of the only power I have.
We need to elect Obama and then get behind HR676, I'm confident Obama would sign it.
"Have faith, this economy is going to recover over time. I wish I could snap my fingers and make what happened stop. But that's not the way it works."
I agree with you on the need for single payer health care. And I'm not happy with Obama's plan however, Obama is still a lot more open to single payer then McCain. Lets face it any health care plan is going to be fought out in Congress. That's why it's imperative that we push our congressmen to adopt a single payer plan like HR676. To me it's clear that if a plan like that was put on the new presidents desk Obama would sign it and McCain would VETO it.
Yeah, I'm starting to like NAder more and more when Iäm watching those two assclowns parading. And you sheeple want to vote for change screaming Obama's name... Fools! Obama will not bring any change! You people are sheeple. I'm glad that we don't have your problems. Obama... my butt!
OK, so now that you get a tax incentive, your employers won't feel as guilty when they decide not to pay as big of a share of your health insurance right?
Obama: We'll make it mandatory for children to have heath care. That's not a bad Idea, but If a family can't afford health care, then how will making it mandatory for children make a difference? OH,I Can't afford rent, I got evicted, we now live in a van down by the river, But at least my kid's have health care! What happens if you can't afford to pay the fine for your kids not having it? Jail time??
"Have faith, this economy is going to recover over time. I wish I could snap my fingers and make what happened stop. But that's not the way it works."

its always the most important election isnt it?
I thought that was also the 2006 election, when the dems actually GOT CONTROL of congress.
What did they do? Did they rectify the wrongs? NO!
They said they needed a filibusterproof majority-60 votes.
Well give the Senate that this election.
Then in 2010 theyll say we need a 2/3rds majority to ovveride the veto.
But still they wont do anything to further progressive politics.

The answer is no. You must not be familiar with Kucinich as mayor Cleveland. It is not the usual story of a politician.
Check it out.
I cannot say for sure--but the indications are Kucinich is after big game.

Even talking about a single payer health care plan is pointless. The health care industry has donated enough money to the campaigns of every single person of both parties that would have to vote for it that it will never happen.
crazycatfguy 3 years ago
crazycatfguy: wouldn't it be great if the healthcare industry gave away all those bribes in vain? What if Nader got elected?
I think the status quo politicians truly fear Nader who isnt controlled by corrupt corporations because they know hed blow their party politics, hidden agendas and secret alliances all to hell. The glut-fest would be over, and many would be prosecuted for treason.
weeeeeeee . . . what a day that would be.
FriedDaisy 3 years ago
Nader cannot sign any legislation that never gets sent to him. As long as legislators are bought and paid for it does not matter.
crazycatfguy 3 years ago 2
That is why I still support Obama. Even if by some miracle Nader won (which I wish would happen), he would have no help from Congress and he would end up looking bad in front of the media driven people. He would look bad because Congress would screw him over.

Lets face it any health care plan is going to be fought out in Congress. That's why it's imperative that we push our congressmen to adopt a single payer plan like HR676. To me it's clear that if a plan like that was put on the new presidents desk Obama would sign it and McCain would VETO it.

Kucinich has the only way to do it. Establish universal risk pool and have a Federal Public Corporation insure.
It would cost about $20 per person per year, and it might even make money.
Forget private insurers.

Also there would be no need of separate Veterans' Insuirance, government insurance and the rest.
