What none of the participants mentioned and what concerns me greatly is that although the private religious schools may have a certain creed they stand by and that determines their school conduct and the teachers they hire, it's the PARENTS who hold the same values that are sending their children to these schools. We have to acknowledge that young adults may not hold the same values and opinions as their parents and this is something the school must weigh up when dealing with these situations.
@MamaMario13 I don't think its possible. I was raised a catholic and I got to the point where the ideals I was raised with conflicted with what I knew to be true. I think its possible to still believe in Jesus, but not necessarily follow the rules laid out by the Pope. The Pope's view on homosexuality is that being Gay is a sin so then all Gay Catholics would be damned. I don't think anyone would follow a religion that sends them to hell for being the way God made them.
