WE THE PEOPLE,Need to let men like this know YOU ARE OUT RIGHT NOW, NOT LATER !!!!!!!!!! Not by voilence But let them know YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STAY ANY LONGER !!!!!!If we have to send them this message even if we send one of us as a TEMP. in their place!
Our "legal" immigration process includes a complete screening including a background check, who the candidate immigrant is, why they want to come to America and just what it is that they have to offer us for the privilege of us welcoming them here to "earn" their citizenship. Just like a job interview, we want people in the United States that can "help" the Country, not people who will soak us for public assistance, conduct criminal activities and end up on the streets drunk driving.
The Caucasians are more than likely citizens of the U.S. - not citizens of Mexico. How does an illegal 'father' support a wife and three or four kids on $15 per hour?? Doesn't take much brain power to figure that one out...
My Grandparents came to the U.S.A. in accordance with the laws of the land as they stood at the time.
@510wtf thats cause there are 229 mil whites in our population--and 15mil legal hispanics--20 mil illegal hispanics--everything that the united states and its citizens have worked for is being sucked up in a couple of decades by illegal immigration--mostly mexican--and just so you know---none of them are being checked for disease or drugs or criminal background or anything else--hell they dont even have to learn english--pres obama says we need to learn to speak spanish--not me and not my kids
It doesn't make a shit bit of difference who was asking questions. A political figure should never, ever talk to the people like that. They want respect they better show respect. They forget fast how they got to office.
By the way, to stop talking about Pete Stark for a moment, let's just say it's Glenn Beck who's the Congressman holding the town hall (hmm, about something dear to his heart - Constitutions and Mormon Bibles in every motel room drawer!).
So: How nicely does GB handle the very angry person with the opposing views? Or does he clear the room?
Btw, I won't be a bit surprised if Beck runs for office soon, but I doubt he could handle a town hall of his own. He only likes people who agree with him.
@wistfulwitness --well--its not glen who is the congressman its this poor excuse for a man stark---and obama had the a.g. fired for incompatance when he was investigating one of his buddys--this man [stark] is flat out crazy but he can stay cause he is in line with obama--the dems say nothing is to hard to do till it comes to the borders and that 1 thing is impossable--dems want border wide open as long as possable for all their potential voters--we are being sold out by people like stark
@damoparman: Don't agree with a single thing you say. What AG got fired? Eric Holder remains in ofc. (A doz. US Attys got "fired" by Bush, but that's a diff story.) Stark is in a strongly progressive East Bay dist, where many are disappointed bcs Obama is TOO KIND to Wall St and big corps. Stark is probly still apprec'd for hav'g been agst invad'g Iraq from the start. Dems are allied w/unions, who hate aliens taking jobs. We're spend'g more on border security than ever--more than Reagan.
@wistfulwitness gerald walpin is the a.g. name---dems hate illegals takingUNION JOBS only they dont care about mine---just so you know eric holder is almost as big a racist as obama
@damoparman: Walpin was an IG, an inspector general, not an atty gen. He was a career DC official, and he'd started hav'g probs with the CNCS (the org he was supposed to be an independent watchdog of) in '08, a year before Obama was in office. There's a paper trail - I've read thru some of the documents (pub'd by WashPost in May '09) - they had a case agst him. I can't deny the Obama friend connection w Kevin Johnson, but fact is, he'd clashed w CNCS before. They thought he might have Alzheimers
@wistfulwitness this country owes obama a debt of graditude for letting mr walpin know there was something wrong with him but those pesky doctors cant find a thing---but--the investigation has stoped and mr walpin is still fired and life goes on in obamaland--might not be to long till obama thinks something wrong with you to and he will have a very good idea for what should be done- to-for-with--YOU
Glenn Beck knows unprofessional behavior when he sees it - he used to be a morning radio guy! He once called a rival deejay's wife in Arizona, on air, to crow about her miscarriage and say her husband couldn't do anything right. Rolling Stone did a long profile on Beck - he's done a lot of really horrible stuff to other people over the years. I wouldn't believe him with a ten-foot pole myself.
You don't have to believe anything Glenn Beck says. All you have to do is watch the video and believe what Pete Stark says. Know that this is the kind of CONTEMPT that he shows to the voters who continue to elect him. Why the 13th district has elected this man for 37 YEARS boggles my mind.
@ubersham: I don't think you really know all that much about Pete Stark. I would venture to say that's also true of 99% of Glenn Beck's viewers.
Here's how I know Pete Stark does not have contempt for his constituents: He voted AGAINST giving Pres. Bush war powers to invade Iraq. He said he didn't trust Bush or his advisors; he felt it was violating American and int'l principles to act with military aggression; he said the non-wealthy would make the sacrifices for the war. He was right.
@ubersham: He was completely right in all his instincts, and he FAITHFULLY REPRESENTED the views of his very liberal Bay Area district.
He's also a WW2 veteran who's against war; he was a successful banker who's acted in Congress in the interests of the poor and middle class; he's believed that the fairest health care system for the U.S. relies on govt involvement - and has fought for it for many years.
That's the context Glenn Beck forgot to put in. Was the guy in the video even a voter
Really??? A WW2 Veteran? Hmm, born in Nov 1931... lemme do the math really quickly... so you're saying he was 13 years old while fighting against a socialist Nazi regime? Then he became a successful banker? I thought the banks are evil and just want to screw the little guy. I'll bet his bank made profits!!!
BTW, I'm not one of his liberal Bay Area constituents, but I live about 45 minutes away.
@ubersham: My bad. You're right. I just checked his wiki profile and he was in the USAF from 1955 to 1957.
You can ask him about his bank's business practices; I don't know. I just know what his values in Congress have been - they suit me fine. He has been very rude in arguments, that much seems obvious, but that hardly makes him unfit to be a Congressman. If it were, well, let's just say a lot more folks besides him would be pounding the pavement.
@ubersham: (continued) Was the guy in the video even a 13th district voter, or was he a bused-in agitator? In case you hadn't heard, the health-care town halls were full of low-information shouters. I'll bet five bucks that guy had been told a pack of lies about the government program.
But, look, even if he did have a serious point, we'll never know, the clip doesn't include it. The only point of the video was to make Pete Stark look as mean as possible.
@ubersham: (continued) My final thought on this - it's utterly ironic, the title of this video. "GB's message ... about his verbal abuse of American Patriots"
You see a patriot, I see a patsy. Stark has helped plenty of actual, proven American patriots in his 37 years in office - and that is precisely why he's been re-elected. Check his record; it's there.
Glen Beck has the intelligence and the courage to stand up for what is right. I applaud him. The Federal Government is not doing their job. They are wasting our money, putting us in terrible debt, while giving themselves raises and enormously expensive vacations, and parties. I think the critics of Glenn Beck prove that it takes a very small mind to put down great people. How about the millions Obama is spending restoring mosques in the middle east? I say vote 'em all out (or remain fools).
Can't this idiot be impeached? Clearly, I mean CLEARLY he knows NOTHING about the constitution, jurisdiction, manners, NOTHING about the 'public servants' job he's had for 30 plus years.
Look its not black and white. Not all mexicans are drug dealing monsters who will kill for a penny, and the minute men arent evil either, they both have SOME victims, and both have some corruption. Its the same with muslims. MOst 90% arent radicals, yet many a people blame the religion itself for 9/11 and such attacks. But, how many innocents have been killed by the effects of the iraq war and the afghanistan war?
And the reason we got no reform? No competition. The GOP and their healthcare allies were successful in beating back the public option which would have been competition for the private sector.
As it stands now, they all operate in collusion with one another. Much like the Telcoms and Cable industries with their "regional monopolies", oh boy, that's something that Reagan did too. Oops, I'm forbidden to talk about the past and why things are screwed up! But I'll give him credit for trying!
@PalemoonSun Ok...here we go again. You start out good but you always end up blaming the opposite party. Again you think the answer is in a Govt solution. Its not. Did you read last week that England is thinking of going back to privatization? They are overloaded, the expense of the entitlement is bankrupting them and the waiting lines are rediculous and you STILL have a beaureucrat telling YOU what procedures are necessary and not. Just like the insurance assholes! You traded one for the other
@PalemoonSun Trust me....government run isnt better. In fact you find you will get MORE beaurocracy (why cant I spell this word? ha ha) and even worse service. You are preaching to the choir about the insurance industry here Sister. But you are so wrong in thinking the govt would be better. I am sorry for what you went thru..its bs. No doubt about it. And you are right about the monopolies. That is rediculous. But you will find the biggest opposition to those health care monopolies historically
@PalemoonSun lays in the hands of Democrats who favor control over interstate commerce and actually protecting these companies. A public option would drive down costs for the consumer. It would also cost us doctors. Dont believe me...read up...ask some of the poor you defend how hard it is to find a provider that will accept their state medical aide. Medicare....doctors accepting medicare are dropping like flies. No joke. SO what will happen with a public option? Insurance companies will drop.
@PalemoonSun Sounds great right? Except that once again...the competition will be gone. We the consumer will NOW be at the mercy of who? The govt. When our recklessly spending Govt. needs cash..they will look again to raise the costs to the consumer...again breaking the back of those who already pay for everybody else. So what will happen. Costs will rise again, there will be a shortage of doctors, longer waiting, a govt official deciding what procedures you REALLY need, and a HUGE loss of jobs!
@PalemoonSun Where? Simple...like I tried to explain earlier...the costs will be passed on to those who pay the most in taxes already. When taxes get raised...jobs disappear. Thats just a fact. Secondly, do you have any idea how many people work in the insurance industry? Ouch! So yes we agree competition is the key. But allowing people to buy in statewide groups would be a great start. Or service groups. Both of these simple actions would drive costs down by crushing the monopolies that
@PalemoonSun are literally raping us. Additionally tort reform would be a nice help as well. Do you have any idea how expensive it is for a hospital to pay for their insurance? How about dr.s? Do some checking...it has gotten rediculous. I dont know many who are going to work so hard to get thru medical school to make ALOT less and still have high premiums. Granted its tricky for sure but again...look outside the govt for the answer. You mentioned Reagan. Reagan was sure right about one thing...
@PalemoonSun when he spoke in regard to govt solving our problems when govt IS the problem! He was right about that! I suggest you try a little time in the private sector. Get your head out of the words deserve and entitlement. Look at your life...what do you want, what do you need? Ask yourself..are you happy? Then makes choices to get you to a place where you can be happy without waiting for the govt to make you happy. Now to answer your rant about Reagan. ...lol
@pieceomeat I served in the military, my brother also, I was not yet in the military, but I was in college ROTC when he made that "Government IS the problem" comment.
And you know what is the biggest portion of the US Government is? THE UNITED STATES MILITARY. So yep, I guess it's the typical "blame it on the troops" because they are the problem. Blame it on Pat Tillman for dying. But oh no, nobody can ever, ever, blame it on the leadership.
You need both a reality check and an economic lesson. This will be the easiest one of all.
How many jobs in the USA pay $500,000 an hour?
How many job in the USA pay minimum wage?
Now then, is my belief that in order for the few to stay rich, the masses have to stay poor? Would the facts of economics on jobs back up my claim? Because the fact is, there are far more hard working poor people in this country than there ever will be a single hard working rich person in this country.
@PalemoonSun Well let me know when you can afford to pay someone $500,000.00 /hour to clean the toilet at the office. Sorry my investment into my job and ofcourse the financial investment by me personally make it a bit rediculous dot you think? You try to make you point by exaggerrating the extreme difference. Lets get practical ok. When I got out of the army, I worked and went to school nights. Many of my friends (most) made other choices. They either made party choices...and that landed them
@PalemoonSun where it landed them. (not good but then again...not MY fault nor responsibility) Most of them however got jobs, worked hard but at quitting time they quit, went home watched tv, drank a beer or two, hung out with a gf etc etc. Nothing wrong with that. That is the CHOICE most Americans make. The "masses" as you call them. They live their lives they way they like. I CHOSE differently. I worked ft/went to school and had a part time work on weekends. When I saved enough and I made
@PalemoonSun my move into working for myself instead of someone else...many of my friends stayed in their jobs..avoided the risk and stuck with the staus quo. Now that I am successful, apparently you think that I should be donating my more of my earnings to those who chose differently. That is your argument. There is a reason that my retirement will be paid for. There is a reason my girls will be able to have their school paid. There will be a reason a I will spent my retirement...resting
@PalemoonSun with my wife and getting a bit of fishing done. Dont you think I deserve it after the sacrifices I made. Can you understand why when a President says that I am "not paying my fair share" I would be offended? This my little fansty world leftist is reality. I love my friends and they lived the lives they chose. They are good people and hard working law abiding people. But should I have the fruits of MY labor taken by a govt who spends so recklessly anyway? I worked longer harder and
@PalemoonSun took greater risks, I provide above the median pay scale jobs for 22 Americans. I paid more in taxes and I contribute to both my church and two charities that actually give more than 90% of their proceeds to those in need. (See what Jerry's kids get...its a disgrace) I made sacrifices and I am reaping the rewards so when I am told I should have my pockets looted even more...yeah...not so much of a fan of this President. Obamacare? How do you feel about that? Will it fix the problem?
@PalemoonSun nope...the insurance companies passed the expense off on the consumer. How do you think that is going to effect my business. I got notice last week that as of Oct. my rates are going up on my own personal insurance. $230.00 /month Thats $2,760.00 a year. I can afford it but please...Obama isnt helping anything. Look at the former lobbyists in his OWN cabinet. You just dont get it. Economic lesson? If I do...I dont need it from you. YOU are the one ranting about Glenn Beck as the
@pieceomeat Now this comment I agree with you on. You say your insurance is going up. Mine is too. I've had a hospital stay back in March in which I had to have a heart cath because of chest pains. Insurance isn't paying for any of that because they claim I didn't speak with my doctor before going to the ER, yet it was my doctor who told the ER doctors to admit me. Isn't that crazy? And yes, not only has my insurance gone up, but so too have my medicines. Paying more, getting less. No reform.
@PalemoonSun Reagan. Where do I begin? Ok, he was considered a Statesman by working deals with then Speaker of the House Tip Oneil. Now HE was a democrat lion to be sure. He also spent like a mad man. Today we blame Reagan for creating deficits...Reagan didn't spend a dime himself but he spent a FORTUNE on our military to rebuild it by making a deal with the dems..in return for spending there would be social program cuts. Guess what they were never made were they? In fact they expanded. So he
@pieceomeat You're right, he spent a fortune on the military. He resurrected a completely useless B-1 bomber, that if it wasn't for Clinton, wouldn't have ever saw action period. Carter killed the B-1 program in favor of ICBM's. Reagan brought back the B-1, and that turned out to be the biggest waste of money our government has ever spent on a weapons program. There is a reason that even the USAF called them "lawn darts" and is why they have been phased out of service. B-52 still flies on.
@PalemoonSun Yep...the B-1 disaster...wow..its like walking down memory lane with you. Wasn't that a joke. I think that had more to do with payoffs. You know...return the favor to the private contractors to build them in return for some political support. Thats an excellent example!
@PalemoonSun was a fool in that sense. Iran/Contra. He should have been impeached. Pure and simple. This was criminal and a blantant attempt to take power away from congress by sidestepping it. (Feeling me on this) Amnesty, I grew up during the 80s and to be honest. I dont remember the amnesty myself. From 10 to 18 I was too involved in politics. However I would say I did pay more attention than most kids did. It was a MISTAKE. IT was wrong and it did not have the desired intent did it?
@PalemoonSun Republicans and Democrats both have historically been so full of shit with the voter on this issue. The truth people is they BOTH want cheap labor and know that with a false ssn (many people just make up a number when applying for a job and for years there really wasnt a workable way for employers to check. (Dems oppose those systems still!) So these illegals actually paid into a social security that they themselves would not collect on. Well thats awfully nice...considering that
@pieceomeat I agree with you that both parties have historically been full of shit, lol. I guess that's one thing we both can agree on. What I am tired of, is people taking something from one administration and blaming it on the new President. People blame Reagan's recession on Carter, yet it didn't start until August of 1982. Closer to 2 years since Carter was out of office. Flip the tables, Obama is elected and 5 minutes after he is sworn in, people are crying about taxes. WTF?
@PalemoonSun Do you remember the gas lines during the Carter administration? Additionally, the effects of a policy sometimes take years to show. Reagans recession was not of his doing and you would be hard pressed to find any serious political thinker who would assert that. Even from the left. However you are right, Obama inherited this mess from Bush. NO question there. The difference is..are Obamas policies going to turn it around...or are they making it worse? Fair question I think.
@pieceomeat And generally meaning, let me give an example... I saw someone the other day whining about how Obama keeps blaming Bush. But the people whining are blaming Obama for everything that Bush did. The economic collapse happened under Bush, not Obama. But they blame Obama for it? WTF? GITMO is suddenly a problem after Bush opened it, but it's Obama's fault? 2 wars without end that Bush started, but they are Obama's fault? Oh hell no, I'm not going to allow revisionist history!
@PalemoonSun Agreed. The economic collapse happened under Bush. But both parties had their hands in that didn't they? Two wars..yep. I am more upset with Iraq because of the reason we went. Rediculous. Afghanistan..well there were certainly Al Queda there. But lets be honest. That is a VERY complex country and what exactly are we trying to accomplish? Alexander the Great had a hell of a time controlling tribes that still exist to this day under the same customs!
@PalemoonSun I think the problem is twofold. First after 8 years or idiocy...we start up with even more idiocy. MORE spending, continued corruption, policy that is unpopular and when the majority who oppose it they are demonized and called, "racist" and "rednecks". There is a sense of a lack of leadership and a snobbish like behavior of ignoring the what the people want. Barack is just the latest and so the current critism has reached a crescendo under him. I dont think he likes being President
@PalemoonSun very much anyway. MY biggest problem is I dont see any candidates being put forth by the Republicans yet who even garner the slightest confidence in me. I am certainly unhappy with Obama. I think he has been a disaster. But if we are not careful...we can jump out of the pot and into the fire so to speak. So I would like to see a real revolution. No not a violent one. One were the American people stand up and say, ENOUGH (or Basta! since you have latino friends as I do) and a return
@PalemoonSun common sense policy. Why have we gone from the leading exporter of steel to shipping steel in from our international "buddies"? Why do we export grain to feed others...while importing grain to feed ourselves? Unions are a good thing right? The were necessary to protect workers. Now its gotten rediculous. $ 75/hr is a bit much to stand in line in a factory. And we wonder what happened to the Auto industry. There has to be a happy medium. Anyway, you are making more sense and sound
@PalemoonSun alot less partisan to me now. Congratulations! You are free again! I am now enjoying your imput and find myself nodding while reading some of your remarks. Feels good not to have to defend the dirty politicians of either party huh? You sound quite sensible now (I dont mean that how it sounds..like I am talking "down" to you) I am just tired and I am actually quite sincere and now I am enjoying our conversation. Anyway....bedtime for me. Bless you!
@PalemoonSun social security is bankrupted. There is no little account with a pile of your money in it. No no...they spend that money and planned that it WOULD be there for you when you get older. (Companies that do this are charged criminally) Yep they spend it as fast as it comes in. So yeah...illegals coming in and paying into it...sounds great. Nope. Its dirty. Neither party is serious about the border. They haven't been in a LONG time. Ask yourself..how long have politicians claimed to
@PalemoonSun Well he had two years before the Dems took Congress...so HE LIED! I know you are about as shocked as I am! lol The Bushes have done enough damage to this Country. I dont think a Bush will ever be a President again...I hope not anyway.
@PalemoonSun want "comprehensive immigration reform during the campaign platforms and during the debates? But the truth is...none of them ever lift a finger after they are elected. They tell most Americans (Both parties) that they want to tighten the border but offer opportunity to a restricted number of hardworking immigrants. Then the left will say (we just want to speed up the process of getting more in at their private lefty parties) Its a joke. They are being called on it now though arent
@pieceomeat I agree with you that both sides are not willing to do anything with the border. There are so many latino's in the country now, they represent a powerful voting bloc. And I'm talking about the ones the legal ones. Look at the Cubans in Florida. In numbers, they are small, but as a voting bloc, they have a voice. They alone dictate our policy with Cuba, not our government. Now it's becoming the same with Mexico. Obama should be slapped for allowing their President to badmouth us here.
@PalemoonSun they? Now I happen to know a few families that legally immigrated to our country. I would LOVE to have you sit down and talk with them. LOVE IT! Not just on immigration...but also with what is wrong with our country. They are all quite enterprising people. Lastly, I want to say that I hope that you are well physically. I am sorry you went thru that. I could tell you some horror stories of my own. Anyway, Ill just say that I hope you are better. =D
@pieceomeat I don't know why you'd want me to sit down with them, as opposed to sitting down with my best friends wife, who legally came here from Mexico, and together they spent more than 4 years and $5,000 doing everything right to make her a citizen, which she is now. And she, most of all, despises illegal immigrants. And they have vowed that if there ever is any kind of amnesty, they are going to sue to get their money back.
@PalemoonSun Let me know if you want me to shred Reagan further ok? LOL I can do the same to H W Bush and G W Bush if you need more "proof". Republicans are just as naked to my scrutiny believe me! My favorite right now is John McCain...what a freaking joke. NOW that the border issue comes to a head he is all "Mr. Border security"! He has been a powerful politician in Arizona for HOW long? Talk about and opportunist. I will tell you this..MY Tea party friends want him OUT of office! I agree!
@pieceomeat Yeah, McCain has been around since 1982, during that "Reagan Revolution" when the Republicans won back the Senate from the Democrats for much of the 80's. McCain is an enigma of sorts. Some days he makes sense, other days he's bizarre. I actually voted for him in the Republican primary in 2000. I wish he had won the nomination. It's my belief he'd have defeated Gore without question, also we'd have not been attacked on 9/11 either.
@PalemoonSun problem...I am simply trying to run a little truth in your face. You are barking up the wrong tree. You sound as though you embrace the tenets of socialism so ofcourse you woundn't understand this. But my point is you are just so way out in the woods and there is a REASON you dont understand what is happening with "the masses". (You shouldn't use that term..you make it sound like you are above and not one of the masses...it doesnt help your case) Look at your arguments here..
@PalemoonSun you are doing it with everybody too. Someone critisizes Obama on immigration...you mention Reagan. I critisize Obama on economics as a small business man...you blame Bush. Really. Thats the world in a nutshell to you. Cant you see how simple minded you have become as a partisan? Do two wrongs make a right? Guess what while you Dems and Repubs are busy fighting over your perceptions of power...the "masses" are stirring and yoou are doing nothing but alienating yourselves even further
@pieceomeat You know why I bring up Reagan? Because everyone here whines about how Obama has some master plan to give amnesty to the illegal immigrants. If you checked your facts, you would see that it was McCain who actually toyed with that idea. I've never heard Obama pledge, promise, or even consider giving amnesty to illegals. So why is everyone up in arms about some amnesty deal that doesn't exist?
But yet, not 1 single person other than me has criticized Reagan. Why is that?
@PalemoonSun You sit there and you talk of elite wealth...I dont know.,..there is ALOT of elite wealth on the left. What you haven't figured out yet is we are ruled by pawns..pawns who crave power. The lust for it. The lie for it. They create the illusion that they care or serve the public. Ask yourself how many never worked in the private sector and yet.,. they became so fabulousy wealthy serving the public. You are unfortunately part of the problem. What are you so afraid of? Why cant you
@PalemoonSun I will make one last plea with you because believe it or not..I just think you simply have no clue how life works yet but that in your heart you are good person with good intentions. However as the saying goes.."Road to hell is paved with good intentions." I say you are being used. So instead of attacking me and ASSUMING immediately that I must be a Republican ( I bet that actually shocked you that I have little use for them either huh?) Maybe just maybe you could pull yourself out
@PalemoonSun away from all your little partisan buddies long enough to do some research. Honest research. If you are a person of integrity.,..you will do this. If you are not...you won't. Look and see what your party is DOING. Dont compare to the other party. Quit defending the indefensible. (You just look silly anyway) Do you even know what you are talking about? Have you ever run a business successfully and built it with your own two hands? Can you see the arrogance in your assumptions?
Wow - quite a rant! It parallels my life which is one of the reasons that I'M so ticked off at all these 'loser liberals' and their kind. Keep up the good work and I sincerely hope that, in addition to everything else you do, you are actively involved with local groups who want to restore our Great Nation's sanity! Out with the "whiners", in with "personal responsibility"!
@cvminutemen Sorry about that. Palemoonson means well but sees the World thru the blinders of partisanship. I tried to reach out but you and I both know its the rare partisan that looks inward by someone elses encouragement. For them its easier to stay with the status quo of their "team" because it is their "safe" zone. I couldn't agree more about personal responsibilty. Without that...and an expectation of it as a culture.. it will only get worse. Get spreading the word man.
@pieceomeat Wait a minute. You spew right wing talking points at me and then have the gall to call ME partisan? You deny being a republican. Ok then, prove it.
One other thing, Glenn Beck. You claim there was not one single incident of a shooting carried out by a member of the Minutemen....
I guess Glenn Beck has never heard of Arivaca, Arizona. May 30, 2009. Shawna Forde, Gunny Bush and Albert Gaxiola, members of the Minutemen, cold bloodedly killed, in a home invasion, 2 American citizens, one of which was a 9 year old girl. Simply because these Minutemen members THOUGHT they were illegals.
That was NOT a "Minuteman" related crime - it was over drugs and money. Get the facts straight before you start flapping your jaw.
(From your Huffington post)
"The husband who was murdered has a history of being involved in narcotics and there was an anticipation that there would be a considerable amount of cash at this location as well as the possibility of drugs..."
So with your spin, if I volunteer time with the "Salvation Army", and over the weekend I decide to rob a Bank, does that mean the the "Salvation Army" robbed the bank??
Hey Glenn, show me an American patriot!! I really wanna see you dig up a 200+ year old corpse. As far as your poll thing, it was not Mexico City as #1, but Juarez, Mexico as #1, both in kidnappings and being the most violent spot on the planet. He's using way old data. Colombia hasn't been #1 since 2001. And I don't think this video is from 2002. Fact is, Baghdad, Iraq was number 1 for most of the 2000's, but I don't recall hearing a single Republican upset about that.
@cvminutemen No, everything is NOT cool on the Arizona border. As I've posted before, one section of Mexico is considered the most dangerous spot on the planet. I want something done about MS-13 gangs streaming across our borders. I want something done about our border patrol agents being locked up by Bush for doing their job. I want them pardoned NOW. If an illegal is caught, they should be deported, end of debate.
I just wish you'd say something about Reagan giving amnesty to them!
The 1986 Reagan amnesty was a mistake, especially with no follow though of the laws set forth in the amnesty. I thought it was a mistake then and I haven't changed my position.
stark has been in there so long he thinks his shit dont stink and the people are all retards. hes been in there sence 1975!?!! thats why therte should be term limits folks. he thinks the imiagrint population of sourth californa is going to save him but hes wrong the people will not take it any longer this snide self ritous pompus old peace of s**t is going down for selling out the sovernty of our nation. mocking americans who want a safe and secuar country it makes me sick go live in mexico puke
@cvminutemen I would certainly hope that term limits would apply to everyone! If Jefferson would have had his way, there would be an age limit on which someone can serve. He wanted the age to be 65.
But you gotta admit, someone whining about how long Stark served, while saying NOTHING about how long the three served that I mentioned, is pure hypocrisy and there's no way even a propagandist could defend such.
Me 2 people just don't understand what we really want. Everyone needs to understand its not just MEXICAN'S New York has russians Chicago has polish immigration is a problem period......................
this clip amazes me. how on god's green earth did this arrogant "man" get elected???? i'm praying our country continues to wake up. keep it up glenn!!!
Pet Stark, you sir are a pompus, smug, sorry LeaderLESS Leader, one of many we now have in Washington.....your a pitiful example of what can happen when the citizenry looses their desire to HOLD officials accountable.......this November we had better run everyone of these clowns out of office...kick them to the street, enough is enough....!!!!!!!
Maybe we ought to have Congressman Pete Stark go down there and build the damn wall himself. How much are tax payers paying this guy? Why are we made to support a guy who mocks the people who voted for him?
The only reason I watch Glenn Beck is for his satirical routine applied to politics; but, I would rather watch Glenn Beck than any liberal news media outlet anyday.
All of you miss the point, I love the ones that comment on how bad Glenn Beck is, then I laugh when I see that you are tuneing in to what he has do say. You nay sayers are all tuneing in and its funny, So Glenn does win because all he wants is for you to listen. So go ahead and put Glenn down while I laugh at you lmao.
@shelby11211 Yep and notice...they talk about his propoganda and historical revisionism but offer few or no corrections. I am not saying he has never been wrong. (Every commentator has been) but I fear that many of these people are just desperate to get people to stop watching Glenn because the more they do the less likely they will vote for "their" guy/girl. Sad how that is they only tool the can use..disparage Glenn, make people feel stupid for watching...but deep dpwn THEY are the ones afraid
@shelby11211 Tell me, why do you think so many people are watching Glenn? THEY want you to believe that it is stupid people and those who laugh at him. Statistics on viewers paint a very different picture. Their denial is what is going to bring them down.
@pieceomeat Since you care so much about statistics and the rich elite of the country, I want you to show the statistics on King Glenn's salary. The reason he's against taxes on the rich? He made $200 million in 2009.
@PalemoonSun I dont see your point. Is there something wrong with being successful? I was and I started from nothing. I wont be the "elite" as you call them. But I own my home, successful business and can pay for my daughters college. The fact is Obama's economic policy and "tax the rich" is hurting the poor. I have a hiring freeze now. When was the last time you worked for someone poor? You are simply a fool. Let me ask you this. Do you understand principle? So no matter WHO stands for the
@pieceomeat Nothing wrong with being successful, so long as you don't enslave another person in the process. But just remember this. In order for the few to remain rich, the masses have to stay poor. So whose side are you on?
@PalemoonSun see there you go with your logic. You are clearly a communist. Let me ask you this...perhaps you can explain that theory. "in order for the few to remain rich, the masses have to stay poor." Why is there is zero sum game with you moron communists. Seriously its just silly. Look..you see a pie and its divided and each person gets a slice. Right? You look at it like the pie is absolute...its not. There is absolutely nothing that keeps us from making a larger pie except YOU! Larger pie
@PalemoonSun larger pieces. In business...we like as many people to have expendable income as possible. The more the better right? You look at labor like we are all Finca owners and slaves. WTF? Were you butt raped or something as a child. I hire inteliigently. I pay well to keep good workers. Turn over is expensive. You ARE what you hire. Will they have as much as I do in their bank accounts? No. But they could. What is stopping them? Nothing stopped me? You have been completely indoctrinated.
@pieceomeat First off, you call me small minded and you ask me if I was "butt raped", ummm, I can come up with much more intelligent debate than that!
You must run one hell of a company to be talking like that. After all, your company is represented by YOU. Is it not? Are you going to allow your customers to see you saying things like that? Acting in such a manner?
@PalemoonSun correct principle, rich or poor...the principle is still the same? Let me ask YOU since you want to talk elite. Did you know that the most wealthy in government are Democrats? Do you think that part of my earnings BELONG to you because you weren't as successful? What would be my motivation to work harder? You are concerned with Glenn Beck and he is a private citizen...so what is wrong with him making $200 mil as you claim? Is there something wrong with being successful? How do you
@pieceomeat The most wealthy in government are Democrats and you then say that you don't want your earning to belong to me? Sounds like you are calling yourself a Democrat. LOL.
Let me ask YOU a question. Is that oil in the Gulf yours? Or is it BP's?? Last time I checked, where they are drilling is part of the US economic zone, which means, it's US soil pretty much. So why don't we have any say in what's done with our oil? I don't want MY oil going to serve the interests of the chosen few.
@PalemoonSun feel about those in government who make the laws and then exempt themselves from them? I am sorry but you seem to think somewhere a long the line that life is fair. Guess what my liberal little ignoramous. Its not. I was born in a single parent family. Parent was a drunk. I made choices, some good some bad. I kept pluggin away. So after all these years..you think that someone who made bad choices and didn't want to take the risks I took...deserves my money. I dont even get the
@pieceomeat Why did you have to take risks in the first place? That sounds rather Madoff-like, wouldn't you say? I see no difference between a Madoff and Bear Stearns. Both swindled the people out of their money. But one is bailed out, the other is sent to prison. What's up with that? So yes, you are right. We are making bad choices. We're sending the wrong people to prison.
@PalemoonSun LOL you are really small minded. Do you know what risks I was referring to? You have one little gear and you just floor that motor dont you? My risks were after the army, after putting myself thru school while working fulltime with a young family I saved...no new cars, no vacations I risked it all in a business. I had to take a loan as well. I risked everything to have what I dreamed. I am still working long days but I suceeded. I have my measure of success. You could too...you
@PalemoonSun wont try will you? Anyway, then I worked smarter. Instead of spending my success on frivolities I spent it on buying real estate. (best thing I ever did) I still have my shop and thats where I spend my most of my time but thanks to guys like you I am putting off opening another. My best friend...a black man..is my right hand man. He was going to manage that location. I just want you to know that the policies you support are putting a hard working black mans goals back...not just
@PalemoonSun mine...so when you wonder how a black man could go to the Tea Parties...you should talk to HIM! He will tell you everything I am saying and more. He is a bit more passionate. The fact of the matter is simply this, you are buying a load of lies. (astroturf, tea-bagging rednecks, racists, republicans in disguise) none of that is true. Proof...everytime BO and the Dems demonize these hardworking Americans and call them something they are not...they realize how little the dems really
@PalemoonSun think of the people they serve. They look aorund and instead of a responsive interested govt. they get called names.... and one unpopular policy after the next is being pushed down their throats. You beginning to see why this tactic is destined to fail? BO and Pelosi sure dont get it yet. But you keep clinging to the Govt Teat and crying about Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin or someone else they want you to believe is responsible. Because the truth is something you CANT be allowed to
@PalemoonSun accept. It would crush your little paradigm. The truth is good hard working Americans who aren't sheep at all and have enough common sense to figure out that our govt is behaving irresponsibly are speaking out and saying enough. Thats just the truth. The polls demonstrate that. The people I know relfect that. The people at the Tea parties reflect that. But what you watch on MSNBC, NBC, CNN, ABC are still trying to convince you. THAT my friend is why your enemy (Fox news is doing
@PalemoonSun choice of WHO to give it to. It I donate to charity (I do) I can select a worthy recipient. We all know how govt. programs work. Waste and no attention paid for results. i think it would be intersting to meet you in person Pale. I would be curious to see what drives someone like you. Its 5 AM here. I am up and I will be at work at 6 (yeah..the rich boss gets up to open his shop) I will be there til 6 pm. I wonder what YOUR day will be like. What makes you think you deserve a share
@pieceomeat Have no idea why you are having this discussion with me, lol. What's charity got to do with anything? Does it make you feel better about yourself, does it allow you to sleep at night?
Why can't farmers in India make more than $2 a day? Would you be happy that you were born in India? And can you blame all of the immigrants trying to come to the USA where wages are a little higher than in their wage-slave countries?
@PalemoonSun my sweat? You sit here and you complain about Glenn Beck. Is that really what your life is about. Complaining about people who have been successful and a tv commentator/author? Meanwhile those who are the true elites have bought and paid for your Govt and you sit there STILL clueless and are upset because there are those of us who aren't like you and wont wait for the Govt. to gives us scraps as long as we keep them in power? No you would rather be upset with Glenn Beck. Take it
@pieceomeat Don't get me wrong, I know who the real enemies are. But Glenn Beck is a front man for them. Do you ever see him going after corps? For example, the health insurance lobby was spending $1.4 million A DAY to fight reforms. In total, they spent close to $1 billion beating the Democrats. So you'd rather a corp flush $1 billion down the toilet, that could have been used for a better purpose, like maybe providing health care? Or at least lowering the insane costs of it?
@PalemoonSun easy today my friend....I will be sure to pay my share of taxes to support you. So will Glenn. Meanwhile...be sure to keep worshiping the Govt. Yeah...keep trusting THEM to take care of you. Because..they have such a great record of spending our money wisely and being honest with the public. No you can go back to licking your cheeto stained fingers after pulling another all nighter in your comfy swinger pad in Moms basement.
@pieceomeat So why didn't you say anything about the $852 billion that Bush wasted in 2008 alone? You remember, that $152 billion in stimulus funds, then another $700 billion worth of bailouts. There was a reason why John McCain refused to ask "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?", because he would have had to shame his own party! He put the interests of the Party before the interests of the Country. What about you?
@PalemoonSun Who the hell says I didnt? You? Sorry charlie...you are barking up the wrong freaking tree. I like many other Independents raised holy hell over that first stimulus. Dont even get me going about fighting a war in Iraq that had nothing to do with those responsible for 911. That was pretty freaking expensive too. Patriot Act...yeah another criminal policy by our beloved govt. You see my little Blue = nice guys Red = bad paradign dwelling little partisan ...are a fool. You cant
@pieceomeat So now you're claiming to be independent, but you are blaming everything on Obama that Bush did. Interesting. You sound like a Libertarian, which is the same thing as a Republican, which is the same thing as a Tea. They're all political parties. So why do you keep supporting them?
@PalemoonSun see how they fill you with their wonderful stories of the "party of the people" (Both sides do this) meanwhile they take turns screwing you. As to why the movement gaining momentum after Bush. Elementary my dear socialist. Ever hear of a turning point? The straw that broke the camels back? After 8 years...we had enough...to make matters worse spent like a big govt. lefty until the end...so when Obama/Pelosi come in and ramp up the spending by a broke USA...well WE AMPED UP TOO!
@pieceomeat So why weren't you amped up during the entire 8 years of the previous administration. Funny, $4 a gallon gas didn't bother you, but a Democrat being elected President does?
@PalemoonSun Enough! This isn't going to fly. So look, I know that you think that wealth = unfair. But the truth is that 80% of our Country's wealthy (defined as earning more than $250,000.00/year) are actually FIRST generation rich. Thats pretty impressive I think. Thats means that there were some risk taking hard working red white and blue Americans out ther that you should look up too. I also know that you have been indoctrinated into believing that without Barrys help...you will never
@pieceomeat If you earn $300,000 a year in America, you're doing well, but you are by no means "rich."
Everyone whines about George Soros, but say nothing about Rupert Murdoch. Why is that? People are willing to send tens of millions to feed the hungry in every other country but our own. Why is that?
You yourself brought up charity. Alright. Why would you give to starving kids overseas rather than help your own fellow citizens?
@PalemoonSun achieve your dreams. I on the other hand said to myself...I can do anything I chose to if I work hard enough, smart enough and took risks. Not everybody suceeds but those who dont still tried and they have nothing to be ashamed of. They worked hard and went after their dream. As opposed to people like you who say,..."the rich are going to keep you down so why try?" So sorry to break your little World up by your Dem vs Repub thought but I dont play that. They count on you to do your
@PalemoonSun your job,..join the herd keep them in power...never mind the man behind the curtain...dont pay attention to what they do...you just go on believing that if the Red guys spend its bad...if the blue guys spend its good. Do you see how moronic that thinking is? (I am betting no) Sorry pal, but these arrogant parties need a wake up call and BO is going to push us far enough that we are hopefully going to change the average American enough to realize that they need to start paying attn
Pete Stark's behavior is reprehensible. He mocks his constituents, like a spoiled and petulant child. American citizens are being killed by illegal aliens, and Stark mocks these people, he slanders them, he taunts them, he does everything short of sticking his tongue out at them.
I completely agree with you. I use to be with the side that said that there shouldent be a border and all that. But after I found out that my uncles who were here illegaly went to jail for cocaine distribution I changed my view. I'm a natural born citizen and I love our country. Do I love our politicians right now? No not at all. But either way I do hate the dangers that all this drug trafficking is causing.
this country changed for the worst when the bush administration entered office. they trampled the constitution, cut taxes which increased our national debt to the record setting levels and jeapardized social security, put togther the TARP bailout program, took us into an unjustified war that cost billions (further exacerbating the deficit), stopped stem cell research on the basis of some fundamentalist pandering, faith based initiatives (direct conflict with our forefathers expectations).
@jeep7698 lmao damn bush and cutting taxes lol damn him lol you must get a goverment check monthly, and you think obama's check book is helping? I mean come on. Oh and so you know bush has been gone for comin up on 2 years! 2 years! come up with a new excuse. Maybe blame that kid in preschool who stole your lunch money.
You have it backwards - the politicians are the ones who've polarized the country - they need to go! Beck is only spreading the word about how corrupt they are and what the founding Fathers really had in mind for America. Don't shoot the messenger (Beck) - wise up.
@jeep7698 Beck needs to go? So simply because you disagree with the message he is saying, you have the right to eliminate his first amendment rights? For someone who supposedly knows the Constitution, you certainly don't afford it much respect.
I'm mexican myself and even I know when there is a problem. I'm proud of my culture and everything Mexican. But this guy has a point. We expect the government to protect us from foreign dangers. And well there is a danger that is not being delt with. It's an opinion because I seriously don't know what the right way to go about this is.
Stop illegal immigration - that's the right thing to do. The governments primary mission and motto SHOULD be "America and Americans first - above all else". That's the only way to go about this. The Mexicans, French, Canadians, Chinese, already do this. We're on the verge of losing this country and people had better wake up and realize it, then take actions necessary to correct the misdirection.
@cvminutemen To believe this "emotional" man cries infront of his viewers and is sincere about it give me a break. What an actor with no backbone jumps on both sides of the line when it comes to world governance and plain ignorance. So to make it short he is a fag. Dictionary = Fag = A spineless bitch also a Fraud
Hey - that's pretty good! A totally misleading statement with no facts to back it up; a major "stretch"; and a "spin" all in one post! Have you thought about running for CA District 13?? If you win, I have a camera and would be glad to come to your Town Hall meetings and post it to YouTube! What do you think?
@cvminutemen Nothing against you, your cause, or experiences. Glen Beck is a fraud. As for what happened it is very regretable that we have that in politics but we do. This video exposes that and the voters will take action. Keep up the good posts cvminutemen.
I always smile a little when I see Glenn Beck cry a little, but on a more serious note, why was he adding fractions on the chalkboard on the right? What could he possibly be calculating?

@510wtf
What's your point? Some Officers are killed in the line of duty by citizens, so why not let a bunch of illegals in so they can kill more??
cvminutemen 1 year ago
@cvminutemen with that way of thought so why don't we not let anyone outside at all and no one will get killed.
510wtf 1 year ago
@510wtf
Our "legal" immigration process includes a complete screening including a background check, who the candidate immigrant is, why they want to come to America and just what it is that they have to offer us for the privilege of us welcoming them here to "earn" their citizenship. Just like a job interview, we want people in the United States that can "help" the Country, not people who will soak us for public assistance, conduct criminal activities and end up on the streets drunk driving.
cvminutemen 1 year ago
@cvminutemen most people on welfare are Caucasian, by the way did your ancestors interview to get here?
or did they just get checked for disease?
510wtf 1 year ago
@510wtf
The Caucasians are more than likely citizens of the U.S. - not citizens of Mexico. How does an illegal 'father' support a wife and three or four kids on $15 per hour?? Doesn't take much brain power to figure that one out...
My Grandparents came to the U.S.A. in accordance with the laws of the land as they stood at the time.
cvminutemen 1 year ago
@510wtf thats cause there are 229 mil whites in our population--and 15mil legal hispanics--20 mil illegal hispanics--everything that the united states and its citizens have worked for is being sucked up in a couple of decades by illegal immigration--mostly mexican--and just so you know---none of them are being checked for disease or drugs or criminal background or anything else--hell they dont even have to learn english--pres obama says we need to learn to speak spanish--not me and not my kids

JohnnyReb2009 1 year ago
By the way, to stop talking about Pete Stark for a moment, let's just say it's Glenn Beck who's the Congressman holding the town hall (hmm, about something dear to his heart - Constitutions and Mormon Bibles in every motel room drawer!).
So: How nicely does GB handle the very angry person with the opposing views? Or does he clear the room?
Btw, I won't be a bit surprised if Beck runs for office soon, but I doubt he could handle a town hall of his own. He only likes people who agree with him.

@wistfulwitness --well--its not glen who is the congressman its this poor excuse for a man stark---and obama had the a.g. fired for incompatance when he was investigating one of his buddys--this man [stark] is flat out crazy but he can stay cause he is in line with obama--the dems say nothing is to hard to do till it comes to the borders and that 1 thing is impossable--dems want border wide open as long as possable for all their potential voters--we are being sold out by people like stark
damoparman 1 year ago

Glenn beck is a mormon jackass. Pete Stark 4 prez!
vtelibrl 1 year ago
Glenn Beck knows unprofessional behavior when he sees it - he used to be a morning radio guy! He once called a rival deejay's wife in Arizona, on air, to crow about her miscarriage and say her husband couldn't do anything right. Rolling Stone did a long profile on Beck - he's done a lot of really horrible stuff to other people over the years. I wouldn't believe him with a ten-foot pole myself.
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
@wistfulwitness
You don't have to believe anything Glenn Beck says. All you have to do is watch the video and believe what Pete Stark says. Know that this is the kind of CONTEMPT that he shows to the voters who continue to elect him. Why the 13th district has elected this man for 37 YEARS boggles my mind.
ubersham 1 year ago
@ubersham: I don't think you really know all that much about Pete Stark. I would venture to say that's also true of 99% of Glenn Beck's viewers.
Here's how I know Pete Stark does not have contempt for his constituents: He voted AGAINST giving Pres. Bush war powers to invade Iraq. He said he didn't trust Bush or his advisors; he felt it was violating American and int'l principles to act with military aggression; he said the non-wealthy would make the sacrifices for the war. He was right.
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
@ubersham: He was completely right in all his instincts, and he FAITHFULLY REPRESENTED the views of his very liberal Bay Area district.
He's also a WW2 veteran who's against war; he was a successful banker who's acted in Congress in the interests of the poor and middle class; he's believed that the fairest health care system for the U.S. relies on govt involvement - and has fought for it for many years.
That's the context Glenn Beck forgot to put in. Was the guy in the video even a voter
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
@wistfulwitness
BTW, I'm not one of his liberal Bay Area constituents, but I live about 45 minutes away.
ubersham 1 year ago
@ubersham: My bad. You're right. I just checked his wiki profile and he was in the USAF from 1955 to 1957.
You can ask him about his bank's business practices; I don't know. I just know what his values in Congress have been - they suit me fine. He has been very rude in arguments, that much seems obvious, but that hardly makes him unfit to be a Congressman. If it were, well, let's just say a lot more folks besides him would be pounding the pavement.
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
@ubersham: (continued) Was the guy in the video even a 13th district voter, or was he a bused-in agitator? In case you hadn't heard, the health-care town halls were full of low-information shouters. I'll bet five bucks that guy had been told a pack of lies about the government program.
But, look, even if he did have a serious point, we'll never know, the clip doesn't include it. The only point of the video was to make Pete Stark look as mean as possible.
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
@ubersham: (continued) My final thought on this - it's utterly ironic, the title of this video. "GB's message ... about his verbal abuse of American Patriots"
You see a patriot, I see a patsy. Stark has helped plenty of actual, proven American patriots in his 37 years in office - and that is precisely why he's been re-elected. Check his record; it's there.
wistfulwitness 1 year ago
Glen Beck has the intelligence and the courage to stand up for what is right. I applaud him. The Federal Government is not doing their job. They are wasting our money, putting us in terrible debt, while giving themselves raises and enormously expensive vacations, and parties. I think the critics of Glenn Beck prove that it takes a very small mind to put down great people. How about the millions Obama is spending restoring mosques in the middle east? I say vote 'em all out (or remain fools).

PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Ok...here we go again. You start out good but you always end up blaming the opposite party. Again you think the answer is in a Govt solution. Its not. Did you read last week that England is thinking of going back to privatization? They are overloaded, the expense of the entitlement is bankrupting them and the waiting lines are rediculous and you STILL have a beaureucrat telling YOU what procedures are necessary and not. Just like the insurance assholes! You traded one for the other
pieceomeat 1 year ago

Insurance companies will drop.
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Sounds great right? Except that once again...the competition will be gone. We the consumer will NOW be at the mercy of who? The govt. When our recklessly spending Govt. needs cash..they will look again to raise the costs to the consumer...again breaking the back of those who already pay for everybody else. So what will happen. Costs will rise again, there will be a shortage of doctors, longer waiting, a govt official deciding what procedures you REALLY need, and a HUGE loss of jobs!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Where? Simple...like I tried to explain earlier...the costs will be passed on to those who pay the most in taxes already. When taxes get raised...jobs disappear. Thats just a fact. Secondly, do you have any idea how many people work in the insurance industry? Ouch! So yes we agree competition is the key. But allowing people to buy in statewide groups would be a great start. Or service groups. Both of these simple actions would drive costs down by crushing the monopolies that
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun are literally raping us. Additionally tort reform would be a nice help as well. Do you have any idea how expensive it is for a hospital to pay for their insurance? How about dr.s? Do some checking...it has gotten rediculous. I dont know many who are going to work so hard to get thru medical school to make ALOT less and still have high premiums. Granted its tricky for sure but again...look outside the govt for the answer. You mentioned Reagan. Reagan was sure right about one thing...
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun when he spoke in regard to govt solving our problems when govt IS the problem! He was right about that! I suggest you try a little time in the private sector. Get your head out of the words deserve and entitlement. Look at your life...what do you want, what do you need? Ask yourself..are you happy? Then makes choices to get you to a place where you can be happy without waiting for the govt to make you happy. Now to answer your rant about Reagan. ...lol
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat I served in the military, my brother also, I was not yet in the military, but I was in college ROTC when he made that "Government IS the problem" comment.
And you know what is the biggest portion of the US Government is? THE UNITED STATES MILITARY. So yep, I guess it's the typical "blame it on the troops" because they are the problem. Blame it on Pat Tillman for dying. But oh no, nobody can ever, ever, blame it on the leadership.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Agreed!!!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
You need both a reality check and an economic lesson. This will be the easiest one of all.
How many jobs in the USA pay $500,000 an hour?
How many job in the USA pay minimum wage?
Now then, is my belief that in order for the few to stay rich, the masses have to stay poor? Would the facts of economics on jobs back up my claim? Because the fact is, there are far more hard working poor people in this country than there ever will be a single hard working rich person in this country.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Well let me know when you can afford to pay someone $500,000.00 /hour to clean the toilet at the office. Sorry my investment into my job and ofcourse the financial investment by me personally make it a bit rediculous dot you think? You try to make you point by exaggerrating the extreme difference. Lets get practical ok. When I got out of the army, I worked and went to school nights. Many of my friends (most) made other choices. They either made party choices...and that landed them
pieceomeat 1 year ago

Will it fix the problem?
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun nope...the insurance companies passed the expense off on the consumer. How do you think that is going to effect my business. I got notice last week that as of Oct. my rates are going up on my own personal insurance. $230.00 /month Thats $2,760.00 a year. I can afford it but please...Obama isnt helping anything. Look at the former lobbyists in his OWN cabinet. You just dont get it. Economic lesson? If I do...I dont need it from you. YOU are the one ranting about Glenn Beck as the
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat Now this comment I agree with you on. You say your insurance is going up. Mine is too. I've had a hospital stay back in March in which I had to have a heart cath because of chest pains. Insurance isn't paying for any of that because they claim I didn't speak with my doctor before going to the ER, yet it was my doctor who told the ER doctors to admit me. Isn't that crazy? And yes, not only has my insurance gone up, but so too have my medicines. Paying more, getting less. No reform.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Reagan. Where do I begin? Ok, he was considered a Statesman by working deals with then Speaker of the House Tip Oneil. Now HE was a democrat lion to be sure. He also spent like a mad man. Today we blame Reagan for creating deficits...Reagan didn't spend a dime himself but he spent a FORTUNE on our military to rebuild it by making a deal with the dems..in return for spending there would be social program cuts. Guess what they were never made were they? In fact they expanded. So he
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat You're right, he spent a fortune on the military. He resurrected a completely useless B-1 bomber, that if it wasn't for Clinton, wouldn't have ever saw action period. Carter killed the B-1 program in favor of ICBM's. Reagan brought back the B-1, and that turned out to be the biggest waste of money our government has ever spent on a weapons program. There is a reason that even the USAF called them "lawn darts" and is why they have been phased out of service. B-52 still flies on.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Yep...the B-1 disaster...wow..its like walking down memory lane with you. Wasn't that a joke. I think that had more to do with payoffs. You know...return the favor to the private contractors to build them in return for some political support. Thats an excellent example!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun was a fool in that sense. Iran/Contra. He should have been impeached. Pure and simple. This was criminal and a blantant attempt to take power away from congress by sidestepping it. (Feeling me on this) Amnesty, I grew up during the 80s and to be honest. I dont remember the amnesty myself. From 10 to 18 I was too involved in politics. However I would say I did pay more attention than most kids did. It was a MISTAKE. IT was wrong and it did not have the desired intent did it?
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Republicans and Democrats both have historically been so full of shit with the voter on this issue. The truth people is they BOTH want cheap labor and know that with a false ssn (many people just make up a number when applying for a job and for years there really wasnt a workable way for employers to check. (Dems oppose those systems still!) So these illegals actually paid into a social security that they themselves would not collect on. Well thats awfully nice...considering that
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat I agree with you that both parties have historically been full of shit, lol. I guess that's one thing we both can agree on. What I am tired of, is people taking something from one administration and blaming it on the new President. People blame Reagan's recession on Carter, yet it didn't start until August of 1982. Closer to 2 years since Carter was out of office. Flip the tables, Obama is elected and 5 minutes after he is sworn in, people are crying about taxes. WTF?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Do you remember the gas lines during the Carter administration? Additionally, the effects of a policy sometimes take years to show. Reagans recession was not of his doing and you would be hard pressed to find any serious political thinker who would assert that. Even from the left. However you are right, Obama inherited this mess from Bush. NO question there. The difference is..are Obamas policies going to turn it around...or are they making it worse? Fair question I think.
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat And generally meaning, let me give an example... I saw someone the other day whining about how Obama keeps blaming Bush. But the people whining are blaming Obama for everything that Bush did. The economic collapse happened under Bush, not Obama. But they blame Obama for it? WTF? GITMO is suddenly a problem after Bush opened it, but it's Obama's fault? 2 wars without end that Bush started, but they are Obama's fault? Oh hell no, I'm not going to allow revisionist history!
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Agreed. The economic collapse happened under Bush. But both parties had their hands in that didn't they? Two wars..yep. I am more upset with Iraq because of the reason we went. Rediculous. Afghanistan..well there were certainly Al Queda there. But lets be honest. That is a VERY complex country and what exactly are we trying to accomplish? Alexander the Great had a hell of a time controlling tribes that still exist to this day under the same customs!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun I think the problem is twofold. First after 8 years or idiocy...we start up with even more idiocy. MORE spending, continued corruption, policy that is unpopular and when the majority who oppose it they are demonized and called, "racist" and "rednecks". There is a sense of a lack of leadership and a snobbish like behavior of ignoring the what the people want. Barack is just the latest and so the current critism has reached a crescendo under him. I dont think he likes being President
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun very much anyway. MY biggest problem is I dont see any candidates being put forth by the Republicans yet who even garner the slightest confidence in me. I am certainly unhappy with Obama. I think he has been a disaster. But if we are not careful...we can jump out of the pot and into the fire so to speak. So I would like to see a real revolution. No not a violent one. One were the American people stand up and say, ENOUGH (or Basta! since you have latino friends as I do) and a return
pieceomeat 1 year ago

@PalemoonSun social security is bankrupted. There is no little account with a pile of your money in it. No no...they spend that money and planned that it WOULD be there for you when you get older. (Companies that do this are charged criminally) Yep they spend it as fast as it comes in. So yeah...illegals coming in and paying into it...sounds great. Nope. Its dirty. Neither party is serious about the border. They haven't been in a LONG time. Ask yourself..how long have politicians claimed to

@pieceomeat George W. Bush said during the 2004 campaign, that he was going to fix social security. What happened?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago

They are being called on it now though arent
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat I agree with you that both sides are not willing to do anything with the border. There are so many latino's in the country now, they represent a powerful voting bloc. And I'm talking about the ones the legal ones. Look at the Cubans in Florida. In numbers, they are small, but as a voting bloc, they have a voice. They alone dictate our policy with Cuba, not our government. Now it's becoming the same with Mexico. Obama should be slapped for allowing their President to badmouth us here.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun they? Now I happen to know a few families that legally immigrated to our country. I would LOVE to have you sit down and talk with them. LOVE IT! Not just on immigration...but also with what is wrong with our country. They are all quite enterprising people. Lastly, I want to say that I hope that you are well physically. I am sorry you went thru that. I could tell you some horror stories of my own. Anyway, Ill just say that I hope you are better. =D
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat I don't know why you'd want me to sit down with them, as opposed to sitting down with my best friends wife, who legally came here from Mexico, and together they spent more than 4 years and $5,000 doing everything right to make her a citizen, which she is now. And she, most of all, despises illegal immigrants. And they have vowed that if there ever is any kind of amnesty, they are going to sue to get their money back.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Let me know if you want me to shred Reagan further ok? LOL I can do the same to H W Bush and G W Bush if you need more "proof". Republicans are just as naked to my scrutiny believe me! My favorite right now is John McCain...what a freaking joke. NOW that the border issue comes to a head he is all "Mr. Border security"! He has been a powerful politician in Arizona for HOW long? Talk about and opportunist. I will tell you this..MY Tea party friends want him OUT of office! I agree!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat Yeah, McCain has been around since 1982, during that "Reagan Revolution" when the Republicans won back the Senate from the Democrats for much of the 80's. McCain is an enigma of sorts. Some days he makes sense, other days he's bizarre. I actually voted for him in the Republican primary in 2000. I wish he had won the nomination. It's my belief he'd have defeated Gore without question, also we'd have not been attacked on 9/11 either.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun problem...I am simply trying to run a little truth in your face. You are barking up the wrong tree. You sound as though you embrace the tenets of socialism so ofcourse you woundn't understand this. But my point is you are just so way out in the woods and there is a REASON you dont understand what is happening with "the masses". (You shouldn't use that term..you make it sound like you are above and not one of the masses...it doesnt help your case) Look at your arguments here..
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun you are doing it with everybody too. Someone critisizes Obama on immigration...you mention Reagan. I critisize Obama on economics as a small business man...you blame Bush. Really. Thats the world in a nutshell to you. Cant you see how simple minded you have become as a partisan? Do two wrongs make a right? Guess what while you Dems and Repubs are busy fighting over your perceptions of power...the "masses" are stirring and yoou are doing nothing but alienating yourselves even further
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat You know why I bring up Reagan? Because everyone here whines about how Obama has some master plan to give amnesty to the illegal immigrants. If you checked your facts, you would see that it was McCain who actually toyed with that idea. I've never heard Obama pledge, promise, or even consider giving amnesty to illegals. So why is everyone up in arms about some amnesty deal that doesn't exist?
But yet, not 1 single person other than me has criticized Reagan. Why is that?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago

So instead of attacking me and ASSUMING immediately that I must be a Republican ( I bet that actually shocked you that I have little use for them either huh?) Maybe just maybe you could pull yourself out
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun away from all your little partisan buddies long enough to do some research. Honest research. If you are a person of integrity.,..you will do this. If you are not...you won't. Look and see what your party is DOING. Dont compare to the other party. Quit defending the indefensible. (You just look silly anyway) Do you even know what you are talking about? Have you ever run a business successfully and built it with your own two hands? Can you see the arrogance in your assumptions?

cvminutemen 1 year ago

PalemoonSun 1 year ago
One other thing, Glenn Beck. You claim there was not one single incident of a shooting carried out by a member of the Minutemen....
I guess Glenn Beck has never heard of Arivaca, Arizona. May 30, 2009. Shawna Forde, Gunny Bush and Albert Gaxiola, members of the Minutemen, cold bloodedly killed, in a home invasion, 2 American citizens, one of which was a 9 year old girl. Simply because these Minutemen members THOUGHT they were illegals.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun

PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun
So everything is 'cool' on the Arizona/Mexican border? I guess we should just call it a day and send the border agents home.
BTW - how many illegals flooding into your country is okay? 10 million a year? 30 million a year? 100 million a year? Get real...
cvminutemen 1 year ago
@cvminutemen No, everything is NOT cool on the Arizona border. As I've posted before, one section of Mexico is considered the most dangerous spot on the planet. I want something done about MS-13 gangs streaming across our borders. I want something done about our border patrol agents being locked up by Bush for doing their job. I want them pardoned NOW. If an illegal is caught, they should be deported, end of debate.
I just wish you'd say something about Reagan giving amnesty to them!

@PalemoonSun I dont see your point. Is there something wrong with being successful? I was and I started from nothing. I wont be the "elite" as you call them. @PalemoonSun see there you go with your logic. You are clearly a communist. Let me ask you this...perhaps you can explain that theory.

I dont even get the
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat Why did you have to take risks in the first place? That sounds rather Madoff-like, wouldn't you say? I see no difference between a Madoff and Bear Stearns. Both swindled the people out of their money. But one is bailed out, the other is sent to prison. What's up with that? So yes, you are right. We are making bad choices. We're sending the wrong people to prison.
PalemoonSun 1 year ago

I just want you to know that the policies you support are putting a hard working black mans goals back...not just
pieceomeat 1 year ago

Because the truth is something you CANT be allowed to
pieceomeat 1 year ago

What makes you think you deserve a share
pieceomeat 1 year ago

Take it
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat Don't get me wrong, I know who the real enemies are. But Glenn Beck is a front man for them. Do you ever see him going after corps? For example, the health insurance lobby was spending $1.4 million A DAY to fight reforms. In total, they spent close to $1 billion beating the Democrats. So you'd rather a corp flush $1 billion down the toilet, that could have been used for a better purpose, like maybe providing health care? Or at least lowering the insane costs of it?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago

PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Who the hell says I didnt? You? Sorry charlie...you are barking up the wrong freaking tree. I like many other Independents raised holy hell over that first stimulus. Dont even get me going about fighting a war in Iraq that had nothing to do with those responsible for 911. That was pretty freaking expensive too. Patriot Act...yeah another criminal policy by our beloved govt. You see my little Blue = nice guys Red = bad paradign dwelling little partisan ...are a fool. You cant
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat So now you're claiming to be independent, but you are blaming everything on Obama that Bush did. Interesting. You sound like a Libertarian, which is the same thing as a Republican, which is the same thing as a Tea. They're all political parties. So why do you keep supporting them?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun see how they fill you with their wonderful stories of the "party of the people" (Both sides do this) meanwhile they take turns screwing you. As to why the movement gaining momentum after Bush. Elementary my dear socialist. Ever hear of a turning point? The straw that broke the camels back? After 8 years...we had enough...to make matters worse spent like a big govt. lefty until the end...so when Obama/Pelosi come in and ramp up the spending by a broke USA...well WE AMPED UP TOO!
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat So why weren't you amped up during the entire 8 years of the previous administration. Funny, $4 a gallon gas didn't bother you, but a Democrat being elected President does?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun Enough! This isn't going to fly. So look, I know that you think that wealth = unfair. But the truth is that 80% of our Country's wealthy (defined as earning more than $250,000.00/year) are actually FIRST generation rich. Thats pretty impressive I think. Thats means that there were some risk taking hard working red white and blue Americans out ther that you should look up too. I also know that you have been indoctrinated into believing that without Barrys help...you will never
pieceomeat 1 year ago
@pieceomeat If you earn $300,000 a year in America, you're doing well, but you are by no means "rich."
Everyone whines about George Soros, but say nothing about Rupert Murdoch. Why is that? People are willing to send tens of millions to feed the hungry in every other country but our own. Why is that?
You yourself brought up charity. Alright. Why would you give to starving kids overseas rather than help your own fellow citizens?
PalemoonSun 1 year ago
@PalemoonSun achieve your dreams. I on the other hand said to myself...I can do anything I chose to if I work hard enough, smart enough and took risks. Not everybody suceeds but those who dont still tried and they have nothing to be ashamed of. They worked hard and went after their dream. As opposed to people like you who say,..."the rich are going to keep you down so why try?" So sorry to break your little World up by your Dem vs Repub thought but I dont play that.

@jeep7698
You have it backwards - the politicians are the ones who've polarized the country - they need to go! Beck is only spreading the word about how corrupt they are and what the founding Fathers really had in mind for America. Don't shoot the messenger (Beck) - wise up.
cvminutemen 1 year ago
@jeep7698 Beck needs to go? So simply because you disagree with the message he is saying, you have the right to eliminate his first amendment rights? For someone who supposedly knows the Constitution, you certainly don't afford it much respect.

I'm mexican myself and even I know when there is a problem. I'm proud of my culture and everything Mexican. But this guy has a point. We expect the government to protect us from foreign dangers. And well there is a danger that is not being delt with. It's an opinion because I seriously don't know what the right way to go about this is.
whitesox1029 1 year ago
@whitesox1029

Hey - that's pretty good! A totally misleading statement with no facts to back it up; a major "stretch"; and a "spin" all in one post! Have you thought about running for CA District 13?? @cvminutemen Nothing against you, your cause, or experiences. Glen Beck is a fraud. As for what happened it is very regretable that we have that in politics but we do. This video exposes that and the voters will take action. Keep up the good posts cvminutemen.
