  • Brings back some memories. I was at Camp Dobol from Mar -Oct 96'. I was in the 1st Armor division.

  • Good post.. I was at Camp Dobol in 97

  • I was also in Bosnia. I got to do the train ride from Baumholder and then drive accross the Sava river in 577a2. I was with 1st AD Eng Brigade HQ. I was based in Tuzla. Liked the pics. Have some like that too.

  • Hey all UN people! You didn't help my family at all! UN=United Nothing!

  • Love the video, brought back memories! I was with C Co 26th Forward Support Bn, at Camp Zupanja, and was one of the medics that opened Slav Brod. Anyone there from C Co, 3rd ID? We went back 6 months later but as 201st FSB. We were out of Vilseck, Germany. Beautiful pics!!!

  • great video!

i dont even remember the scenes of Bosnian War cause i was so little at that time...

  • натовские выблядки

  • weed8668- great video and perfect music selection, that was the music of that tour. Someday I'll mix up some of my pics/vid of that tour, maybe to Everclear music, remember that album? I was in LA Linda from Dec96, redeployed to GE in early 97. I lived in the house by the helopad, remember it? Most memorable tour of 6 in my career. Glad I could help the great people of Bosnia.

  • Correction, I deployed across the river into Bosnia in Jan 96, served with 1AD a few months short of a 1 year tour. We were IFOR, we Implemented the Dayton Peace Accord. I had the honor of doing another tour a few years later, much nicer place, bet it's wonderful now.

  • @howthehelldoesthis Oh yeah bosnia's a great place! in fact, heaven on earth! We're ethnically divided cant work together and hate each other! Much better than Tito's Yugoslavia! Thank you UN peacekeepers for helping!

  • @howthehelldoesthis Thanks for calling us great but you did nothing at all.

  • Awsome video man, deffinatly brings back alot of membories, I was there from 95-96 for 11 months, with Aco. 1st plt. 3-5 Cav. Camp McGovern Berchko Bosnia. We had to defend that damn bridge on the Sava in Berchko. Pretty easy gig.

  • @renodude36 It was probably an easy gig because your 'battalion' didn't defend anything.

  • @insertnamehereKJK hahaha so true...fuck the UN , they could have saved thousads of civilians but ofcourse their to pussy to shoot somebody. Instead bosnian kids who were 16 had to take up weapons and fight the serbians off.

F the UN if a 16 yo has more balls then a trained soldier.

  • @renodude36 Ofcourse it was a easy gig because you didnt do shit,

  • @Edin891 Naw, I don't think thats it, I think it's you that aint shit. You've go no business coming on here telling anybody who's job is harder especaily in the military when anyone who wears a uniform at least has the balls to sign up, unlike you who hides behind a computer and talk shit...lol

  • @renodude36 Balls to sign up for what? You didnt do fucking shit, people like you watched family's get killed and raped and had no balls to do anything about it, i would't be so proud of being in the military.16 year old bosnian kids had the balls to pick up weapons and fight the serbians, while well armed nato soldiers stood by and watched them die.

  • @Edin891 I don't know what your problem is bro!! All I know is, I started this with you with a compliment to your video, and for some reasone you found that an excuse to insult me. Let me tell you somthing, I joind the Army Infantry only because I saw someone burn the American Flag on T.V right afte the Gulf War Started. Some may say that was pretty stupid, others say that it was patriotic. Truth is, I really don't give a shit on what people thought as to why I joind.

  • @Edin891 I don't know you, and you definatley don't know me, you have no idea what I went through there, and I'm not about to defend myself to someone like you. We all did our jobs for the year and left, and no one in our unit got killed. What ever heart ache you may have expeirenced there, it's your problem. So fuck you!

  • @Edin891 Ma pale se buraz zato sto ovdije u US svako misli da su junacine prekom mora a oni kukavice do jaja, jedino sto su uradili je bombardovanje i to je pomoglo Sarajevu ali osim toga samo su sramota i picke.

  • Great video! I was in HHC 2/68 AR down in Olovo at Camp Linda. I'd like to get in touch with any one in Bosnia from that area, or any IFOR vets that were in Camp Linda. I think the Cav were the last ones out of there? I riolled out in September I think. Fond memories, some painful ones. RIP PFC Floyd Eric Bright March 21, 1996

  • anybody from Bravo troop, 1-1 cav. its been years but im sure we will remember?

  • Nice video Chris we need to get together one time and put my pictures and your together and do another video :-) your was great keep them coming!

  • Hey to my American friend!!!

Would you be kind to send me names of Songs?!

Thank you in advance, take care of your self and thank you one more time for helping us out!!!

  • NATO, and EU did not do anything, when we needed the help the most they abandod us and turned their back and watched how civilians were killed on their tv's . But when we got back on our own feet , and started freeing the country from the serbs, and cetniks agressors then they step in. NATO, EU and America came to late. After 250 thousand civilans died.

    Nice video

    peace to all

  • do you learn any thing from that?

  • yea the EU is pure evil, and hates muslims. I dont trust it, and I wish Bosnia does NOT enter the EU

  • I feel that the worst part is still to come for Bosnia.....

    Wallahuallam.

  • What are you talkining about u English bastard?

  • hahahhaa Im not English and im also not a bastard. Im from pakistan :p

The west hates you for a reason and they helped you gain independence also for another reason.

Some one once said 'The rise and fall of nations depends on moral factors. Divine control of the universe rests on ethical foundations and not on abstract laws'

  • Ohh Im sorry brother =D I thought u were treying to provocate me. In 1992 the Bosnian population consisted 55% muslim, we were the only Muslim nation in EU. And the they didnt want that, their plan was to destroy or cut down on our population thats why now the Bosnian muslim population is around 44-48%

  • @Bosnjak3

of course "we" came late...not our (soldiers) fault, believe it!!!

Bosnia will be part of my heart for the rest of my life and I really hope, that you´ll find your freedom and peace!

  • NATO didnt do nothing in Bosnia, they watched how people were getting killed and made pictures like this for familie home

  • BOSNIAN 4 LIFE

  • PROUD TO BE BOSNIAN!!!!

  • zdravo ..Excellenet video and choice of music ,i may add.D salam peace to all ..

  • i love my country BIH for life!

  • I was down there the whole winter of 1996, definately remember of that special xmas at the Sava river (Zupanja) ;o) Greetz from Germany and former HQ IFOR REAR

  • Cool Video, definately brings back memories. I was there as well, Dec 95 to Nov 96, B Troop,1-1 Cav (Beudingen Germany), We were staying in Gradacac. We were one of the units that had to cross when the Saba River overflowed.

  • ....watch it and like it or not...we dont care what you think

  • I was there from January until November of 2006. When we first lived at the "Ice Cream Factory" and then moved downthe road a bit to the camp where hillary and chelsea came to visit...and senator Ron Brown...Anybody remember "Charlie and the Blei Frei Beer Band"....at the mess hall on the 4th of July? SGT Dillard, Charlie Troop 1/4 Cav...I was there.

  • Yeah I remember that! I was ag Checkpoint Charlie when Ron Brown came (with McDonald's 5 day old cheeseburgers) but wasn't he Secretary of Commerce? Couldn't believe later on that night when we were told his plane had crashed leaving Bosnia.

  • don't feel bad, I didn't get a cheeseburger either, matter of fact I brought chow out to Checkpoint Charlie that day, so I missed out on it too!! I still have Charlie and the Blei Frei Beer Band on Video....man that was an awesome time. Rocky Walsh, Dave Bowman, SGT Scianneaux, one other older SGT....name escapes me at the moment, and myself.....we had an awesome day that 4th of July!!!!

  • I just sent you a message but I do not know if it went through. Basically, you may remember me... My name is Mooney and I was a SPC in 2nd PLT. I knew Bowman and I am still very good friends with Rocky (Travis) Walsh. I actually have that 4th of July on video!!!

Get back ahold of me when you get a chance.

  • I remember you Mooney, this is pretty crazy, brings back a lot of memories. You need to put me in touch with Rocky, I'd sure like to see how he has been doing. Bosnia changed us all, just a little bit.

  • hey have you heard from anyone else from checkpoint charlie 2nd plt charlie co? I was on 2-4 sgt orner I've been trying to get a hold jorge chacon the Lt's gunner.

  • I was there from summer -95 to feb -97.

With the NorLogBN TKP 2PLT. In Tuzla (TAB.Tuzla airbase)you gays called it Eagel base.

We moved to Modrica in serbcontry whene US came. We were firs in UNPF. And so in IFOR 1 and 2. Wild years, yes. Been in Lebanon, Kosovo, and Afg.

    Nice pics.

    Stay safe.

  • hsve you gone to Bosnia lately?

  • Great piece...I was there 1996 with the 47th FSB at Camp Angela. What a wild year that was. Thanks

  • Cool slide show.. I was on that deployment but I was in B Trp 1-4 Cav 2 PLT. I lost almost every pic I had from that place... Nice trip down memory lane.. Back then I was PFC/ SPC. Rubio

  • thanks a lot! Greetnigs from Zvornik!

  • Good Video, not bad music. I think that Europe shuld more for Bosnia and Kosowo. They are trying to forgot about it...

  • great pics I remember those foot patrols in the winter were not fun but seeing those kids getting so excited to see us was worth it "bon bon please?"

  • I am not trying to sound like a jerk in anyway here. And I am not directing any insult with this to any of the young men and women seen in those images, but one question. With all due respect, but where was that military we see in this video when we needed help the most? I just want to ask that same exact question to those Bosnian on here which exaggerate the help the US gave us.

  • Yeah, I recognize some of the areas in your video, I was at the (plastic factory) and steel castle, I even even got this cd in the px there.

  • wow!

  • Respect

Dutch Ifor soldier same year (april-october)

  • Wow I haven't seen Bosnia like that in a long time. I do not miss seeing pictures of destruction, but thank you for posting these unforgettable pictures.

  • Warning, I am driving in D.C. area now.

  • weed6886, thanks for this. It brings good memories.I worked in Dobol and had the best time of my life. GOD bless US soldies.

P.S. Almost lost my life in one of the missons near Zvornik (fucking bosnian drivers- i am one of them )

  • NOw did the US troops there engage in any combat oeprations besides the air strikes

  • love this country.. like your video, shows that there was someones who cared about our war at that time!!

  • im born in tuzla ;)

  • Nice Vid :-p

    am from bosnia

  • I was in support platoon 3ID 3/4 HHT which became 1ID 1/4 HHT. Were you in support platoon?

  • Happy times. The blood on the snow. The empty shells in the streets. The crying families. Sorry just messing with you, the upbeat music is just too much for me.

  • I chose the music because it was popular at the time. For somebody that wasn't there, it may seem cheery. But for it me it brings back memories that still cause me to shiver whenever I hear it. I don't expect everyone to understand it.

  • Fair call. It's true how songs can bring back particular memories.

  • @weed6886 I was there too brother, it does bring back memories.

  • Brings back alot of memories!!! Thank you.

  • I was in the norlogbat. In Tuzla and in Modrica. UNPF and in IFOR 1, and 2. Was there for 18 months. From -95 too -97.

  • Was with 7-227th at the time when 1/4 Cav came to replace us in Tuzla. Good vid man.

  • Nice scenerys...they were even more in 1994, long before the US Army decided to intervene...and we had been there for a year

    /Greetings from ex-Nordbat2 member

  • Thanks for the memories... I was part of the British contingency and almost lost my fingers during my tour... Hard to believe that it's been so long. To the very best of times and the very worst...! I still keep in touch with friends I made in the US military and I will alway's be very grateful for your air support. Nothing sounds or smells more like safety than a black hawk. Respect

  • @probld i was there too around the same time...i try to eplain it as..it was the aftermath of what they did to each other that haunts me, seems like it was a dream but thanks for the memory...we were in alot f the same places

  • Great pictures. Most of those places on pictures i am very familiar with.

Great video ,going to favorites :)

    Cheers !!!

  • usa just stopped the war when bosnia went to offensive to get back their stations. but years before when we werent offensing nobody helped. usa betrayed us

  • great pics, thanx for helping us in Bosnian. US Army and BiH Army ROCKS.

  • Thanks USA for help Bosnia. We will never forget that. God bless USA and Bosnia.

  • as much as it pains me to say it, Americans did much more for Bosnia than Europe.

  • I was a reservistand had to go to Tuzla in nov '96 to jul'97 at 22 i didn't want to go but i did, we all sacrificed almost a year of our lives. so why would it pain you to say we helped.....you scum bag

  • oh plz mate I tell you do not call me scum bag

  • Bosnia was suppose to be a European matter which we miserably failed and allowed the serbs to do whatever they wanted to do.

What USA did in 95 against the VRS should have been done in early in 91 when JNA and srpska paramilitaries began the war in Croatia.

  • Actually the UN failed, not Europe, blame Kofi Annan, I do. The mandate to deal with the warring factions was wholly inadequate. The Americans certainly played their part in the latter part of the war and I was glad of their support whether it was late or not, it was needed.

  • @VALDIGNE american soldiers yay

  • Wathing this video brings a lot of memorious. I myslef am a bosnian and therefor very grateful for all the help we got. If it weren't 4 u guys the country wouldn't be standing today.

There arent words enough that can describe my gratitude.

    God bless u all!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have no idea what your saying. Without the ARBIH the country wouldn't be standing. The country was standing for over 3 years without the Americans. Shameful comment really.

  • i am glad i was there when most of those pictures were taking. thanks to weed for making a great video. i learned a lot about life there!

  • Great video! I recognize a few places in your video. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the Vid, I was with you from May to Dec (after you guys got to go home) in '96. I was the CA TM Leader for the Quarterhorse for the last part of your deployment. You guys ROCK! Remember Mahaliday?

  • Great Video. Thanks for the link. thomasdeputydog100.

  • Thanks for the video, I was IPTF (96-97) at Zovrnik and Sapna AOR and remember the Quarter Cav very well. Camp Dobol was a godsend for us Americans.

  • Thanks for watching! Always heard Zvornik was a rough town for you guys.

  • Nice video mate, thanks for putting it up.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • a really nice video thx man !

  • Thanks a lot! Every Bosnian is greatful for this! It seems like you enjoyed yourself ;)
