  • seriously though if u were to look at the japan before modernization they were alot more respectful and full of honor. the events in ww2 disgust me, that wasnt the true japan that was power hungry machine and its due to those events that im discriminated against

  • @TheWhiskeyZone

they changed after WWII. CHina is the evil of Asia far east.

  • JAPAN: THE GREAT BRITAIN OF THE PACIFIC.

  • It seems the USA is in need of a self defence force.

  • Japan dont have a military only JSDF. it is the western peoples (Italy, German, Spain, Iraq etc.) how say they have a military but that is bullshit. I have some Japanese friends they say the Japanese peoples say they dont have a military only JSDF.

  • fuck japan is il love you china

  • I am a man with two countries. I am an American from birth, I served in my country's Navy for 13 years. I am Japanese by adoption. I love Japan, I respect and revere the men and women of the Self Defense Forces.

  • 自衛隊頑張れ!

  • weak slave country of America. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

  • i would want to die for japan i respect their culture and i love how they are the only country and people in the world with true honor and i love their dedication and committment for their country i think they should bring back bushido after all it is the true spirit of japan and it isnt bushido that cause ww2 btw in case nobody know that it was the people in charge of it that cause ww2 and the japnese soider and civilllian is simpliy embracing their culture by folllowing order without question

  • @asian714cali there are millions of people in the world who will never forgive japan for what they did.

  • @asian714cali Japans a pretty nice place but their "true honor" or whatever is bullshit. THey did a lot of F'ed up things like human experimentation in WW2. They also used a lot of suicide soildiers in the war as well there honor and save face mentality is not good. Now that they mellowed out though i thnk they are doing much better.

  • goddamn wmg

  • giving me a boner , this happens when I go to - tiny[.]cc/gapingpussy

  • What is beautiful song?

  • excellen t!!!!!

Taiwanese steped on your side against evil Chinese~~~~

  • 2.49 simply IMPRESSIVE!!!!

    Japan gogogogogo!!

    Kick Yankee ass!!!

  • you did NOT see all weapons shown in the video all Americans? Get real! buddy, Japan is on Yankees side!!!!

  • U.S. should of let japan keep china and korea.. look how those savage countries turned out after they liberated them.

  • Thus considering these points it wouldn't surprise me if the NYT actually hit the nail on the head, for once.

  • jpnsunrise, The New York Times is not a credible source.

However, the Americans allowed prostitution (partly even forced prostitution) in Japan during the occupation and they swept all the sex-crimes committed there by GIs under the carpet (the Aussies in Japan had their fair share of those too, but at least Aussie historians aren't white-washing this dark chapter.)

  • Unfortunately true....it comes with any occupational force but that in no way makes it acceptable

  • By this point in time, Japanese-Korean relations are as friendly as German-French relations. Asian Unity! Eastern Pride!

  • Asiatics unite! We are brothers.

  • Upon further inspection, I find that the Japan Self Defence Force is really not that different compared to other countries military. No country in the world actively claims that their military is for anything other than self defence. It seems to me that the Japan Self Defence Force has potential to become quite aggressive if there is a political will. You could say things like pre-emptive strike or any other creative reasoning, and Japanese have be proven to be quite smart and creative.

  • to bj

    Japan need JSDF.

Korean Navy killed and hurted 44 Japanese fishermen by shooting.

Korean dictator Syngman Rhee set the military border line illegally and occupied Japanese territory Takeshima island illegally.

As for 3,929 detained people of Japanese fishermen, 328 number of the captured ships, the casualties counted 44 people till Illegal military border line was abolished.

  • #2 By a demand of S.Korea government, Japan government released 472 Koreans criminal offense (killer, rapist, thief, robber, etc) living in Japan from prison in exchange for the return of the Japanese detained fishermen .

What S.Korea did is the same as North Koreas abduction.

  • iam imperial general decendant, and a christian. wat is the different in numeric in their differences. war code is the same. i practice martial art in water in different stroke. another thing iam in spore, i was cursed but i feel proud of japanese fighting spirit. o another thing i dun like spore political system, may be they should follow democrate and republican. still this parliment have a few good man.

  • Asian Unity!

  • There will always be some crazy individuals, but my point was about the general society (from the impression I get). German politicians and leaders constantly denounce the doings of the Nazis. But in Japan, you can see bunch of political leaders paying tribute to WAR CRIMINALS, and fervent attempts to exclude the atrocities committed by the Imperial Army from history textbooks.

Im quite fond of Japan overall, but these acts by the government does make one question the countrys motives.

  • Children 'executed' in 1950 South Korean killings

    Dec 6 09:19 PM US/Eastern

By CHARLES J. HANLEY and JAE-SOON CHANG

    Associated Press Writers

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Government investigators digging into the grim hidden history of mass political executions in South Korea have confirmed that dozens of children were among many thousands shot by their own government early in the Korean War.

  • Before suspending operations for the winter, crews had exhumed the remains of 965 victims from 10 mass graves, out of at least 168 probable sites across South Korea. They only scratched the surface in some cases: At a cobalt mine in the far south, they penetrated just 36 feet into a vertical shaft, recovering 107 skeletons from among 3,500 bodies believed dumped there.

  • Some mass killings were carried out before the war; many came in the first weeks after the June 25, 1950, invasion, and others occurred later in 1950 when U.S. and South Korean forces recaptured Seoul and the southerners rounded up and shot alleged northern collaborators.

The executioners at times cold-bloodedly killed families of suspected leftists, the commission has found.

  • In late 1950 and early 1951, in Namyangju, the commission estimates that police and a local militia slaughtered more than 460 people, including at least 23 children under the age of 10.

Survivor Kim Jong-chol, 71, said his father, a South Korean border guard, had been forced to work for the conquering northerners, and then was executed by the southerners as a collaborator. More than a dozen relatives were also killed, including Kim's grandparents and 7-year-old sister, he said.

  • The AP has reported that declassified U.S. military documents show U.S. Army officers took photos of the assembly line-style executions outside the central city of Daejeon, where the commission believes between 3,000 and 7,000 people were shot and dumped into mass graves in early July 1950.

  • Other once-secret files show that a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel reported giving approval to the killing of 3,500 political prisoners by a South Korean army unit he was advising in Busan, if the North Koreans approached that southern port city, formerly spelled Pusan.

The files show the U.S. command was aware in other ways as well of the organized bloodbaths.

  • Guess where many of these horrendous officials learned their methods; in military or police academies administered by the Japanese. Besides, its not like I consider Korea to be the bastion of civility. Whats your point? And how does your list have anything to do with the Japanese Self Defence Force?

  • Comment removed

  • You are deceived by the Korea government. The Japanese empire treated a Korean as a Japanese.

Japanese empire had the constitution and guaranteed fundamental human rights determined by it to Korean. The handling is about the same with Japanese. There were Korean members of the Diet of Imperial Japan. They became the member of the Diet by election by Japanese and Korean. There were the Korean who became generals and officers of the Japanese army.

  • You do not know Korean contemporary history.

    Korean had many dictators.

Syngman Rhee returned from U.S.A.. He was very funny. He wished to become Korean King, but he was expelled to Hawaii. He is symbolic, because ROK was made by U.S.A..

Many Korean citizens were slaughtered in Jeju massacre (1948.4) by Korean soldiers.

  • Pak Jeong-hui ,Korean army officer was going to become a Life President, too. He did Coup d' tat to get power. This dictator was assassinated.

Chun Doo-hwan, Korean army officer, did Coup d' tat of December Twelfth (1,979.10) and Kwangju Massacre(1,980.5). Many citizens were slaughtered by Korean soldiers. This dictator was expelled to a temple, too.

No Tae-woo , Korean army officer, did Coup d' tat of December Twelfth and Kwangju Massacre, too. He is guilty in Massacre.

  • I don't like dictators as much as you seem to do, including the past fascist Japanese rulers during WW2 who ruled Korea. If you happen to think that such rule was historically normal considering the period, I can say the same thing about the Korean dictators.

  • S.Korean are brainwashed by their government.

Japan's Textbooks More Balanced than Korea's: NYT

The New York Times said Sunday amid furor over historical distortions in Japanese textbooks, Korean and Chinese textbooks also wrongly describe or exclude historical incidents.

"Given the scrutiny and Japan's comparatively long record of democracy, the textbooks here [in Japan] are perhaps more balanced than others in the region,

  • "2 In the case of Korea, the paper said textbooks had improved since democratization in the late 1980s, but subjects like collaboration with the Japanese occupation were still taboo.

"Descriptions of the colonial period used to focus only on Japanese exploitation and Korean resistance, ignoring the role of Japanese colonialism in Korea's modernization," the paper quoted Seoul National University education expert Baek Shin-ju as saying.

  • Regarding the textbooks, like I said before, I do acknowledge that modernization was brought by the Japanese colonization. Besides, I think the Choseon Dynasty was hopeless. However, the fact that the intention of such modernization was to fuel imperial expansion does not make Koreans feel too grateful to the Japanese, and it certainly does not mitigate their atrocities.

  • The difference between Japan and Germany is that while many Germans express regret to their atrocities during WW2, most Japanese don't care and some even glorify their veil past; they have not yet fully proven to their East Asian brothers that they will not repeat their atrocities. Japan should not be allowed to have a regular military until their change in the postures of their political eliets.

  • what do you base this on asshole? i'm japanese american and there is no one that i know personally, living in american or japan that doesn't express remorse for pearl harbor, let alone repeating what happened in world war 2.

  • Ah yes, you seem to remember Japan's history with the far away Americans (to whom you've lost) but forget everything it did to neighboring Asian countries. Sure Japan did bring in technology and investments, but that don't mitigate their horrendous acts of subjugation and massacres. Besides, most (if not all) of the improvements brought by Japan was intended for supplying their imperial ambitions.

  • The German-born, ex-Hitler Youth, Pope just reinstated an Archbishop who denied the Holocaust ever took place. That what you call an apology?

  • Japan is the most positively viewed countries worldwide.

#1: BBC world service poll 27 countries 28thousand people

Japan remains one of the most positively viewed countries worldwide.

On average this year , 54% gave Japan a positive rating, while just 20% said its influence in the world was mainly negative. Out of 27 countries polled ,24 gave Japan a positive rating, with just 2 giving it a negative and 1 divided .

  • #2: among the 19 countries polled in both 2006 and 2007, positive views of Japan slipped slightly by 1% point.

The two exceptions to this positive reputation for Japan continue to be its neighbors China and S.korea, where majorities rate it quite.

In contrast to china and S.korea, other countries in the Asia/ Pacific region have quite positive views of Japan including Indonesians(84%). Filipinos(70%)and Austrians(55%). Indians also lean positive(37% positive to 16% negative).

  • #3: Positive views of Japans influence in the world remained largely steady among Americans(66%),Russians(56%),Germans(54%),and Italians(52%). Japan is also well-regarded in the Middle East, with majorities in Lebanon(58%), the United Arab Emirates(56%), and Turkey(51%) as well as a pluralitey in Egypt(33%) having positive views.

  • So? It's not like they ever cared much about past sufferings of Koreans. You should read my comments more carefully before replying; I also like modern day Japan, its just that I don't like self-righteous people like you who don't have the courage to acknowledge you're countrys dark past, and criticize concerned people who do keep that history in mind (although I admit some are irrationally infuriated).

  • to bj89531

I dislike lies. Korean tells lies which is not based on a fact and a evidence, and performs false history education.

Where did Japan make a concentration camp such as the Nazis? I want you to show evidence.

  • To jpnsunrise,

Honestly you are either intentionally disregarding history, or you never studied history outside one-sided Japanese sources and select articles favorable to your motives. I dont want to make a long list of Japanese atrocities because it would be cliché, but I advise you to read English sources on Japanese concentration camps and other atrocities (you seem be good enough in English, unfortunately you cant read Korean sources), or at least do a google search.

  • Thank you for advice. but, I know the source which you do not know.

Ex-Prostitutes Say South Korea and U.S. Enabled Sex Trade Near Bases

a group of former prostitutes in South Korea have accused some of their countrys former leaders of a different kind of abuse: encouraging them to have sex with the American soldiers who protected South Korea from North Korea.

  • They also accuse past South Korean governments, and the United States military, of taking a direct hand in the sex trade from the 1960s through the 1980s, working together to build a testing and treatment system to ensure that prostitutes were disease-free for American troops.

  • Our government was one big pimp for the U.S. military, one of the women, Kim Ae-ran, 58, said in a recent interview.

Scholars on the issue say that the South Korean government was motivated in part by fears that the American military would leave, and that it wanted to do whatever it could to prevent that.

  • While the Japan Empire merged Korea, Korean had the franchise.

Before the end of the Pacific War, Korean who lived in the inland of Japan had the franchise same as Japanese.

In the election of House of Representatives in 1920, Korean living in the inland of Japan used the right to vote in the same way as Japanese.

  • Korean, Paku 朴春琴 ran for four times of the House of Representatives election carried out from 1932 to 42 in the Tokyo fourth electoral district. He came in twice of 32 and 37. Several Koreans else ran, but lost.

  • In addition, a considerable number of Korean ran for local assemblyman election, and there are many elected candidates. (An example: Paku 朴柄仁 is elected in Amagasaki city councilor election in 1932)

Six Korean 朴春琴李英介李慶圭李善洪辛泰獄任龍吉 ran for House of Representatives election of April, 1942.

  • It was in the wartime of the Pacific War. Naturally, they use their Korean name in the election campaign. They were not forced to change their Korean name to Japanese one.

Vote by the Hangul Alphabet was accepted.

  • Because Chinese and Korean are brainwashed by their government which slaughtered the own nation. So they live in the another history and they are different from the world people.

  • It is said that 1,000,000 people were slaughtered in Cambodia by Pol Pot group. Slaughterer is judged in Cambodia by the international special court. S,Korean government slaughtered 1,200,000 S.Korean civilians. Why does not Korea judge the slaughterer in Korea? Should Korean try their father and grandfather in the court and punish them?

The Imperial Japanese army has not done Korean civic slaughter such as the Korea Army and Police did.

  • Are you trying to gain the moral high ground or something? Of course I don't agree with past atrocities done by the Korean government, thats why we had protests, riots, and so on and eventually voted out our latest dictator Noh Tae Hoo (although some say Lee Myung Bak is just as good as a dictator). Again, your list does not mitigate the past atrocities of Japan.

  • to bj89531

The British Empire administered the concentration camp in the Boer War and abused old men, women and children of Boer.

I hear it from a Filipino. U.S. forces administrated the concentration camp, and slaughtered 1,000,000 Filipinos include women and children in the Philippine - American War.

U.S. forces and Korea force slaughtered and raped the Vietnamese in Vietnam War.

  • @bj89531 You shouldnt blame japan for something that they were lead to belive because of their generals. You may not know, but the japanese emporer actually has very little political power. He's more of a religious figure. The military leaders of japan back in WWII were hungry for war. The emporer wanted peace, but the military refused to surrendure until we bombed them. All of their past "atrocities" were because of japanese who were greedy, and who were punished. Japan is not like that anymore

  • @117Jorn I agree that modern day Japan is generally a great country (there is no perfect country after all). What I criticize and find regretable is the ignorance and the nonchalance of the Japanese populous towards their country's past doings. We can't just burry the future and move on because history tends to repeat itself. If we sould just hold hands and move on, why should we even care about today's atrocities? It would eventualy be forgotten. I don't think simply ignoring history is good.

  • to brainwashed Korean bj89531

The difference between Japan and Germany is that Japan Empire did not perform the slaughter such as the Nazis.

Japan does not do the slaughter such as S.Korea and Nazis Germany. Do not treat Japan in the same way as S.Korea and Germany. The Japanese armed forces fought against U.S.A., U.K., Netherlands, China and did not slaughter the private citizen like S.Korea and the Nazis.

  • To jpnsunrise,

Most countries have dark horrendous pasts, and I do know that civil rights were not really the norm of East Asia during WW2. However, you can't just try to just act like nothing bad happened, and people who do remember will forever be concerned about Japan as long as there are people like you who try to confuse people with unrelated facts and fuze out history.

So you must obey them !!!

  • @innpressTV i dont think so. but i really like them

  • @innpressTV your comment is fucking retarded. I sincerely hope you're joking.

  • I am Irish married to a Japanese women I have not met any Irish people in Ireland who have anything bad to say about Japan, maybe Americans who are from Ireland a good 100 years ago are racist but modern Irish are not. Wrong to tar an entire nation with the one brush

    from a pro-Japanese Irish man

  • The U.S. is so racist!!! They say Japan can't have an army but Germany can? This don't make sense? I mean Germany fought in 2 world wars and did more killings and torture than Japan ever did, plus the U.S. is filled with many assholes Jocks and Leprechauns that hate Japan. I say go and fuck yourselves ya crazy Irish Leprechaun, baboon faced bastards!!! JAPAN DESERVES TO BE IN THE SECURITY COUNCIL!!!!!!

  • Racism is good as long as there are still assholes like you living on this world. You race (I dont give a fuck what it is) goes to hell!

  • FUCK YOU AMERICAN IMPERIALIST PIG!!

  • America is actually going to revise their peace treaty so that japans expanding population will have access to more jobs and wont have to worry about having american help in defense in my honest opinion and most americans eyes japan has proven themselves changed and really do deserve a real millitary

  • nice video !!

  • But Japan can kick ass if she needs to Japan is a strong country and her people are tuff. God Bless Japan and God Bless America.

  • Tuff? Did you mean "TOUGH"?

  • Nice video ;)

  • Japan has not failed WW2,just temporarily dissabled.Japan, your flag will rise again for all to see in glory and power.

  • I agree with the guy above. WIthout US backing, China can easily overrun the Japanese economy and it's military.

  • Comment removed

  • You could not be more wrong.

  • The Japanese are smart enough not to spend half a trillion a year projecting military power around the world in a futile attempt to rule it. You defeat ideas with ideas.

  • what if the other side won't listen? hmmm....?

  • Germany had a much larger military than we did before WWII and we still won. You build alliances. Aggressive countries always overextend and become vulnerable. If you mean, "what if other countries won't allow us to exploit them," then this is a point you will be too obtuse to grasp.

  • *sigh* what i mean is what if they will not negotiate? they will not seek peace unless one side is destroyed, by they I mean radical terrorists who deem the US the great Satan. It is in my opinion that more often then not war should never be the first option, nor even the second, but when all else fails - eliminate the threat, but always leave options, for if you make an enemy our friend you have defeated the enemy

  • japanese are good specially on technology. i know they can make a superpower aircraft carrier.

  • why the japanese and the germany doesnt have thier own aircraft carrier?

  • The reason is because the use of the aviation carrier costs vast expense.

  • actually aircraft carriers would be violating japans Article nine restrictions

  • When i mean carrier i mean something like the Charles de gaul of the french, the Nimitz class or the upcoming queen Elizabeth class those can carry a good sized attack aircraft wing, the heliocopter carriers don't have the same offense or power projection abilties (you could get harrier type aircraft on them though... ) - but true

  • plus only a handful of countrys have aircraft carriers not even china has a carrier

  • Actually dude they do have a carrier it's a russian carrier called the Varyag which was bought at auction along with a handful of Sukhoi Su-33 Sea Flankers. They are using it until they finish building their own carrier

  • AFAIK they only use it for training.

India, Spain, France, Britain, the US, and Russia have carriers, I think.

  • watch this video with mute on, while playing the "row row fight the powah" song

  • Now this is a lot better and epic than the other Japanese Maritime Defense Force recruiting vid with the hilarious slogan "Seamanship for Love"

  • 艦隊を写してるとこがたまらんな

  • Oh, look. The barbarians are losing two wars and they're gonna get nuked by Iran. ROFL!

  • chinese should appreciate for japanese blind of their danger situation. Remember Chinese asshole. China is still not enough power to Japan. If japan consider and decide to become 'normal country' China is still too weak to conquer all east asia which is Chink faggoty dream ^^

  • Good-bye, China

  • By the way, I'm not in support of China nor North Korea, just the opposite. The fact is Japan concentrates its spending in the civilian sector with side benefits to its self defense forces while China apparently spends much more upon weapons research. They're not to be brushed aside as inferior anymore.

  • All of u guys should STFU about war this war that ! Please if u guys want to fight so much ... go to a bar/nightclub.

This is a Recruitment Video not some god dam history class.

RESPECT TO ALL THE SOLDIERS IN THE WORLD !

  • Soldiers , sailors , and airmen exist to keep the peace by force of arms. There is no other reason for them to exist.

  • U forgot it is human nature to fight ! We cant not change this .. even on the internet we argue over simply things that has nothing to do with anything.

The only thing we can control is the damage we can do, War is ugly but it brings out the best of mankinds ability !

  • Japn could not enjoy the peace it has enjoyed for 63 years without the ability to defend its home waters. Flowers and tie dyed T - shirts with peace symbols don't work in the real world.

  • I dont get where u are going with this ? lol

    sorry !

I have respect for all the soldiers in the world. Expect for the soldiers who harm those who cant not fight back ! ...(Burma, Afican warlords....so on and so on)

  • Why should Japan be afraid of the US? They are long-standing allies, have similar governments, and are major trade partners. The reason Japan takes a hard-line stance is because, as I said earlier, it wants to get rid of the constitutional restraints on its military. N.Korea is a perfect test subject to test out it's military capacity without any international condemnation.

  • That statement is so full of holes. Any demonstration of force against North Korea will also provoke China into action. Japan does NOT have the capability to take on China's current war machine , which is unfortunately fueled by free international trade.

  • YOUR statement is also full of holes. China is not about to spring to arms for North Korea. If China and North Korea are the pals they once were, why did China participate in the six-party talks to denuclearize N Korea? China's mighty war machine that you idolize consists of poorly manufactured and obsolete weapons and nuclear missles that can barely get off the ground. A lot has changed since the 1950's.

  • Idolize them no , but Japan isn't in a position to threaten them. As for the North Korean negotiations , it is in China's best interest to at least look active. After all , they're heavily engaged in world trade. Coincidentally, former US president Bill Clinton was responsible for trading some modern US weapons tech to China , and they're doing fairly well when it comes ot pirating everything else they need. They're no longer stuck in the 1950s, as demonstrated by their push into space.

  • Bill Clinton's weapons dealing obviously isn't helping China very much, since they still use copies of soviet era weapons. Japan has the only blue-water navy in asia besides india, and russia if you count them as asian, because China and Korea don't have aircraft carriers or other long-range ships. Japan is in a very good position to threaten china, since chinese leaders are too stupid too see that a strong navy is essential for overseas conflict.

  • The Chibnese have apparently pirated the Aegis radar syatem, and have an operational class of destroyers utilizing it. They have their own modern fighters based closely upon Western technology, advanced anti ship missles and a near unstoppable high speed torpedo. They don't need carriers since they only intend to influence what lies between their coast , Taiwan , and Japan if need be.

  • Their ships can't even reach Japan, much less land. Taiwan is within striking distance of artilary, but Japan is much farther. Chinese weapons have a legacy of poor quality, ESPECIALLY their fighters. When people speculate that the J-XX will be superior to the F-22, I just have to laugh. People thought the same when they introduced the fighters they have in service now back in the 70's. Chinese weapons may look good on paper, but in practice, they are worse than those of any modern nation.

  • Taiwan is all they really want, and the ability to fend off US/ Japanese support for the Taiwanese. A coastal navy and land based air support suit their immediate needs sufficiently.

  • You don't seem to understand the concept of warfare. In today's limited war, the technologically superior has the edge, since a few decisive battles will be fought followed by a truce. Which means, JASDF, while having a rather dated fighers(early 2000's) has and edge over the PLAAF fighter fleet (1970's). The PLAN has no aircraft carriers despite not having consitutional restraints like Japan, which negates it's only advantage. The PLAG has mostly Soviet era weapons and is not a serious threat.

  • Actuaslly I have a vested interest in naval warfare, which is why I chose to serve for 4 years in my younger days , to learn more. The concept of decisive battles went out the door after WW1 , primarily becasue of the advent of the submarine followed by advances in naval aviation. The Japanese chose to cling onto the concept well into WW2 , even though it proved to be obsolete. As to limited warfare ,low tech has beaten high tech before by using guerilla warfare.

  • Asymmetric warfare, particularly "Shock and Awe" requires destroying the enemy quickly in a few decisive battles disabling hish profile targets eg. ICBM's, capital ships, and aircraft within the opening hours. The "decisive battle" concept still exists, just in a different form. I don't think if Japan would actually invade and occupy China if they won at sea, because most of the Japanese casualties in the last war were caused by guerillas and disease. So guerilla warfare is not really an issue.

  • Japan sending a couple hundred soldiers to Iraqi is pointless it is just a politic message just to show their support as a power in the world.

  • Hm, well, since Japan is a major world power, it is only proper that Japan should send soldiers to Iraq to support the cause. Plus, it will pave the way of future deployments and eventually throw off the constitutional shackles that bind it's very promising military future.

  • Japan Doen't need a milltary. All they need is a Natural disaster force.

  • "Japan Doen't need a milltary. All they need is a Natural disaster force."

Maybe you are right, but I say keep at least a small army- just to hold off any Mongol- butt lickers.

  • a godzillia response team.

  • Lmao ,godzilla is our last line of defense

  • Personally, I believe that South Korea and Japan should get along better. Both nations have common threats to their respective countries and interests. Also, it would be to both nations benefit to cooperate more, especially since both are located right next to an emerging military power and threat that has no love for either nation (China). However, I do understand that the tension between the two are historical and profound. Anyways that is my opinion. I think both countries are awesome!

  • Unfortunatly, that's never going to happen, and most likely will never happen. Japan wants to Rearm NOW, so apoligizing for actions in a war that ended 60 years ago would not help that agenda. and Korea? They are nominally a US ally like Japan, but they suck up to the Chinese in every way possible. They're playing on both sides and plan on joining up with whoever comes out on top. They don't want to lean to closly to one side in case that side loses. Just my opinion, though.

  • frtyuj// Stupid simpleton! Don't get above yourself. All of ur knowledges are not the truth. To speak thr truth, Many Koreans committed a big blunder. Many Korean elected 2 Presidents who wanted to make Korea the alliance of U.S.A. That is because many Korean compatriot person did hate the former military junta which was the friend of U.S.A.

  • Although the fomer junta devoted theirselves to Korea and contributed to Korean economics, military force... Many Korean wanted to remove junta age from their memories. And fucking communism-loving man who holded sway over speech(newspaper, TV..) instigate people to fall into "Anti-Americanism".

  • But, because many people have just awared that aim of the nationalist president(President "Roh Moo hyun") is so harmful for Korea, now Korean does not want to be a friend of china. Most of Korean are different for devotees of President "Roh". Although Mr. roh's devotee think china is the alternative in Asia, We, normal Korean don't. We know how dangerous china is! If you don't know Korea, Korea-Japan relation, don't make a fuss 'bout that, silly korean hater!

  • Oh mistakes! "To speak thr truth, Many Koreans committed a big blunder. Many Korean elected 2 Presidents who wanted to make Korea the alliance of U.S.A."(X) => "To speak thr truth, Many Koreans committed a big blunder. Many Korean elected 2 Presidents who DOES NOT wanted to make Korea the alliance of U.S.A."

  • This is the conclusion. China-lovers who are the devotees of president "Roh" are minors in Korea, now. We will not take a foolish choice which makes us the alliance of china. Anti-americanism has been over. Now Korean president is not "Roh" but "Lee myoung bak" who attachs importance to "Korea-U.S.A. relationship".

  • they are both the most trusted allies of the US so i must agree with you.

  • I'd be surprised if your nukes got off the ground, considering how poor Chinese manufacturing is.

  • Why do so many Korean roaches come out every time someone posts a clip of our millitary? Are they feeling a bit insecure or just a bunch of stupid stalkers?

  • We can screw almost bankrupted tiny country South Korea whenever we want.

  • Go against North KOrea instead, they are the dangerous once.

You know you will have our European support, you have always had that (even 60 years ago).

    Go Japan!

  • with countries like china who have superior numbers and who china has had stressed relations in the past japan needs a strong military force japan uses technolgy to there advantage such as american fighters and up to date air defences

  • probably one of the best equipped military forces in Asia (Aegis, F-15, etc.) but no modern combat experience. I would like to see them get some experience and more realistic training with live weapons.

  • Japan's F-15s are not very modern. They are much like the older F-15C/Ds. Thus less advanced than KF-16s or F-15Ks.

  • i never would have thought of using an opera song for this...rofl

  • Korean army is larger, but it isn't as modern as the Japanese self defense forces. JSDF is on par with any European nation in terms of technology and equipment.

  • No. Korean military equipment is now more advanced, especially with the F-15K ,Sky Dragon(high precision cruise missile) etc. having entered service. Other world-best weapon systems like the XK2 ,XK11(world's first and only OICW to be put into service for years to come), Iron Falcon and others will follow. Japan is now qualitatively behind Korea but has a larger navy. keep in mind that Korea has a vastly better IT infrastructure&technology than Japan.

  • It is too difficult to control F-15 for Korean. Korean veteran pilot swoons and the F-15 falls into the sea of Japan. F-15 fell into the manhole. F -16 crashes well, too.

  • Nov.9.2003 "Chosun ilbo" , Korean major newspaper, said follows.

It is the Korean business model. Korea cannot live without Japan. You should study about the real Korea .

We're a "technologically dependent country," with no fountain of technology of our own and are dependent on parts, material and equipment from the outside, and the mysterious figures are a result of this. Korean exports laid out on the global market are called Korean-made, but in fact they've just been decorated here.

  • Yes this is true but things have steadily changed, especially in the software sector. Manufacturing hardware products is an industry of the past now. The US economy, for example, depends almost entirely on services.Germany also has a strong service sector, just one place behind the US. Japan is very weak in this area. China may have caught up in hardware manufacturing but is at least one century behind in management services. Germany is more advanced than Japan.

  • to xxwzaebd

Japan already changed, but Korea does not change.

About Japan, the surplus of income account exceeds the surplus of trade account from 2005.

2007year's data, the surplus of trade account was 123,223 hundred million yen , the surplus of income account was 163,267 hundred million yen.

Japan prospers for an income by the investment like Switzerland and the U.K.

  • Do you say that donnot believe Korean newspaper saying? I already know Korean newspaper is irresponsible.(HaHa)

But Korean newspaper said that Korean software industry lost the opportunity to developed.

Because Korean does not protect intellectual property rights.

It is blamed that Korea government use illegal copying software by MS. As for me, it is unbelievable that you say.

  • Actually, software development began to be very active in the '80s; several indigenous word processor(and later, full office) packages have been developed. One of them is cross-platform. People involved in the student movement were very active in the S/W industry. At least one Korean enterprise solution is being deployed in a major Japanese organization. Besides, the current trend goes to open-source S/W; even OS,DBMS , UAV platforms and middleware are available open source.

  • If you don't like MS,you can simply download a Linux distribution and install it. MS operating systems are said to have better capabilities in handling heavy I/O workloads but this is something desktop users normally don't care about. The open-source area has little to do with the "copying" problem, anyway. AFAIK, many Koreans are actively participating in international open-source projects. Some of them are quite large-scaled.
