I gave blood once when the blood bus came to my high school. I really wanted to give blood, so I lied about my weight. I regretted it all day cause I felt soo sick and weak. I only weigh 100 lbs and I think you're supposed to weigh 115 lbs. So until the day when I weigh 115+ lbs, no more blood donating for me! (Unfortunately)

I've had problems before where they had to adjust the needle, it hurt like hell and I bruised but I still finished giving blood. I don't know why they would stop your donation, unless you wanted to stop. Bruising can always be a side affect for donating blood.

when i got a bloody test i yanked my arm away as she was about to jab it in me (refelxes like a ninja) and then she yelled. she was a super mean tosser!

i know how that is i went to get a cat scan and there was a nurse who was like barley experienced and she poked me about 5 times then said my veins were swollen ... so she went to the side of my wrist which hurt alot! so i told her to stop then a guy came over and got it in the first try .... i was lil mad i had bruises up and down my arm

i wanted to donate blood at a drive in my school but when they pricked my finger they said my red blood cell count was low by only 3 i made them do it again but the same thing happened so they didn't let me donate

That happened to my friend. He tried to give blood and he lay there for a while before someone came by and was like, you blood's flowing really slow, so they gave it another try but it still wasn't coming out so they gave up after about a half hour. He never drinks water though, so that explains it. They told him to drink water before donating next time. :P

I give blood every 56 days..been doing it since I was 17. 26 now.

It's always an ordeal for me. They can never find a vein on me! Takes them forever! They usually have to call over a more experienced (or something) doctor. Then there's always a bit of digging around in my arm. I ALWAYS end up getting a big ol' bruise.

We don't have the Red Cross though, we have Medic. I used Red Cross in NC and prefer them. Oh well..
