Oh my God. This music. This art style. Phantasy Star II had by far the best vibe of the good Phantasy Star series--it was so 80's!! (AD 1980's... or AW 1280's... take your pic).
It's a shame the remake had so little respect for what's so compelling about PSII.

Well that is strange. In the game, the weapon seller looks manly with a crazy dyed 80s hair style. Also in the Japanese version, I think the weapon seller speaks in a masculine manner.

???WHAT THE?!!! Is the red head in the back right supposed to be the weapon seller? If so, is that really a woman?!! I always thought it was a man.

@jlovin4772 If anything, I thought the Armor seller was more androgynous than the Weapon seller. Nowadays I recognize his features are mostly male, but he's got baby blue highlights in blonde hair, a gold necklace and a pink shirt with blue sleeves. Back in the day I just thought it was a chick, really.
The Weapon chick on the other hand, I never had a problem identifying as a female, just look at that Lita Ford hairdo.
