There are no genuine photos of Chick. From what I have read, someone who knows Chick created this drawing, but there is no evidence. We can't be sure and thus this is the only supposed image of him. Back in the 70's I collected Chick tracts because they were so bizarre. I had one called "Soul Story" which was about an inner-city gang leader and his life of violence, and of course, his eventual 'redemption.' Every black person in the tract had big ol' fro's and looked like they walked out of a Parliament video. It was hysterical and insulting all at once.

There are no genuine photos of Chick. From what I have read, someone who knows Chick created this drawing, but there is no evidence. We can't be sure and thus this is the only supposed image of him. My predictions? I made them up. They're as good as anyone else's. But based on all thereal Chick tracts, Jack would be out of character putting out a verbal statement that isn't just as serious. It would make no sense for this to be from him.

Well, technically, Mormons and "watchtowers" (I assume you mean Jehovah's Witnesses?) aren't Protestant.
To be Protestant, a religion must have formed by breaking away from the Roman Catholic church, or from another that had done so directly or indirectly.
Not every non-Roman Catholic Christian sect is Protestant. The Eastern Orthodox is another that is neither Roman Catholic nor Protestant (since it did not come from Catholicism, but rather both split off from a prior denomination).

Back in the 70's I collected Chick tracts because they were so bizarre. I had one called "Soul Story" which was about an inner-city gang leader and his life of violence, and of course, his eventual 'redemption.' Every black person in the tract had big ol' fro's and looked like they walked out of a Parliament video. It was hysterical and insulting all at once.
It was painfully obvious that Chick has a really low opinion of black people.

That particular tract was Chick's desperate attempt at 'relating' to the inner-city and it failed hilariously. If it wasn't offensive, then how come it's no longer in print or hasn't been updated to reflect the inner-city life of today?

First of all asshole, kindly read "Inquisition" by Edward Peters. It is the most updated and most accurate historical depiction of the Inquisition and is waaay more reliable compared to the bullshit you find in Chick Tracts.

Even as a religious pluralist, I find that Catholics are Christians for they're one of the oldest Christian groups we have today. Heck, their rites and architecture reflect Christianity far more mystically than the wackiness I see in hillbilly American Protestantism.

I think the main problem with jack chick is he's too isolated by christianity. He's lived in the southern united states his entire life and he's never known anything but evangelism and treats anything new as evil, because it's easier to demonize something than learn about it.
I'm atheist but I've read the bible many times, i've gone to islamic societies on four continents and many catholic countries. It's easy to judge things that you don't know about, and chick needs to experience more faiths.

But if you read Chick's assaults on Islam, Catholicism, and pretty much everything that's not fundamentalist Christianity, you see that he has bothered to "learn" about other faiths...for the sole purpose of attacking them in a more "informed" way. Ah yeah. I discovered recently who was the author of this tract I once came upon in my chilhood. I read it and it had a deep effect in me... it depressed me to no end.

Did you know that Jack Chick is not the only artist of those tracts? The artist who draws the realistic style is an African American. He is not a racist or bigot.

His message is debatable but he drew comics and they are everywhere. He used the medium of comics to spread his message and I respect that.
