  • how big is the drop

  • so is this the same ride technology used in the indiana jones ride in california? Looks cool, but just trying to figure out exactly what kind of ride this is.

  • @ssmccullough it uses the second generation of the ride tech test track in epcot. the final portion of the ride after the lava monster is like no other! very thrilling.

  • i just visited the park! and this ride was such a treat. it seemed like a glorified dark ride until the lava monster and then they shoot through a a roller coaster type section. it came out of now where and was tons of fun!

  • So, Tokyo gets this and Disneyland, where all of the Disney parks started, gets stuck with California Adventure?

    Something doesn't seem right.

  • @DanReligion

Indeed it doesn`t. Disney doesn`t actually have full control over the Tokyo resort. A Japanese Theme Park company operates and finances Tokyo Disney, where they give much larger budgets to attractions than all other resorts.

  • I remember this ride. It was awesome!!

  • そんな大声出さんでも(苦笑)

  • for those interested, Disney stores japan was selling a CD of DisneySea music, including the music for this attraction. Every piece but one was in English. Maybe its online now.

  • The narrator at about 0:06 sounds a lot like Alan Rickman...

Remember to tell that turtle joke at the party

  • i was there lol

  • i am chinese so i went hong kong....but in hong kong we decided to go japan and disneyland....good day =]

  • the lift is sooooo hot i remember now

  • I went there a year ago... two times :) fun day

  • Tokyo Disney Sea, designed to take an American's perception of Disney quality and crush it. This is what Disney is about, a world where the Imagineers are allowed to truly express their genius ideas and dreams with the rest of us.

  • How tall do you think that lava monster is?

  • i went there 2 weeks ago!

  • lol i took this after tower of terror, and when inside the elevator, really scared that it will free fall too!

  • lol the most scariest part of the ride is when it turns randomly then drops

  • I hate this ride after I got off.... I cried LOUD!!!!!!!!!

  • Yesterday I went there it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg i love the elevator

  • A lot of people don't realize this, but the elevator is actually going up, not down.

  • yeah, i know, BUT ITS STILL COOL

  • best ride in disneysea

  • I love this ride !!!

  • so great

  • Why can't we have that at Disney World? It seems like everywhere else has the cooler stuff

  • Technically WDW has it already XD this ride uses the same ride system as Test Track :p

  • True. Disney is more of an experience than it is thrilling. I love Disney to death but seriously, I just wish it would have some more coasters or simulators. I know that it destroys Walt's dream but honestly, sometimes it seems like everywhere else has more thrilling rides.

  • I was there last week. Bad ass.

  • OMGSH, I was so afraid I would be trapped in that lift! Haha. GREAT ride! Wanted to ride it again, but my mom was too terrified! (:

  • Oh my gosh i really love this ride :D

  • is this a rollercoaster??? im confized

  • It's not

  • disney don't make roller coaster they make attraction/rides

  • the do in tokyo :P

  • is it me, or does tdl seem to get a lot more out of a budget?

    the rides there are amazing.

  • TDS yes. TDL...not too sure honestly.

  • oops i meant tds.

  • Looks intense!

  • It really is

  • Man that ride looks awesome! Need to bring that one to the states!

  • I totally agree! We only got to ride it 3 times, but we certainly could have kept going!

  • Only Jules Verne Disney Ride Left! (Space Mountain DLRP Was Rethemed From It's JV Theme)

  • Actually, 20,000 Legues Under The Sea at TDS is still Jules Verne theme!

  • that ride is AMAZING! i go there every year and just watching this is making me so excited... i can basically remember everything just by watching this so thanks so much!

....and even if you dont have a thing for drop rides, the scenes before the drop are spectcular! trust me it's worth it!

  • Easily my favorite ride at the most impressive park I have ever been to. That ending is sick!

  • Totally! As you can tell by my screaming :P

  • That looks really cool

  • i love this ride!!!

  • What's that thing at 3:57?

  • Some underground scary creature thing...I don't know the name

  • I was hoping someone knew. Is there a site where I can look this up and find out?

  • It is called the Lava Monster

  • The attraction is worth nearly 300 million dollars to construct so that automatically disqualifies it ever coming to the states.

  • I would love this ride in the states. It's so awesome!

  • Good job bro. This is my favorite ride ever!

  • love that ride. thank you.

  • Best Ride Ev-ar.. Love That Ride..
