so is this the same ride technology used in the indiana jones ride in california? Looks cool, but just trying to figure out exactly what kind of ride this is.
@ssmccullough it uses the second generation of the ride tech test track in epcot. the final portion of the ride after the lava monster is like no other! very thrilling.

i just visited the park! and this ride was such a treat. it seemed like a glorified dark ride until the lava monster and then they shoot through a a roller coaster type section. it came out of now where and was tons of fun!
Indeed it doesn`t. Disney doesn`t actually have full control over the Tokyo resort. A Japanese Theme Park company operates and finances Tokyo Disney, where they give much larger budgets to attractions than all other resorts.
for those interested, Disney stores japan was selling a CD of DisneySea music, including the music for this attraction. Every piece but one was in English. Maybe its online now.
Tokyo Disney Sea, designed to take an American's perception of Disney quality and crush it. This is what Disney is about, a world where the Imagineers are allowed to truly express their genius ideas and dreams with the rest of us.
True. Disney is more of an experience than it is thrilling. I love Disney to death but seriously, I just wish it would have some more coasters or simulators. I know that it destroys Walt's dream but honestly, sometimes it seems like everywhere else has more thrilling rides.
that ride is AMAZING! i go there every year and just watching this is making me so excited... i can basically remember everything just by watching this so thanks so much!
....and even if you dont have a thing for drop rides, the scenes before the drop are spectcular! trust me it's worth it!
how big is the drop

So, Tokyo gets this and Disneyland, where all of the Disney parks started, gets stuck with California Adventure?
Something doesn't seem right.

Some underground scary creature thing...I don't know the name
NorthEastCoasters 4 years ago
I was hoping someone knew. Is there a site where I can look this up and find out?
Katana991 4 years ago
It is called the Lava Monster
thwongterry 3 years ago
The attraction is worth nearly 300 million dollars to construct so that automatically disqualifies it ever coming to the states.

I would love this ride in the states. It's so awesome!
