  • Being in the Amercan South (Dixie Land) sometimes reminds me of the tropical rainforests of Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and on many of the Pacific, Caribbean, and Indian Ocean islands.

  • I live in Scotland nowadays. But Mississippi will always live deep inside my heart, wherever I go.

  • awesome

  • @laura32976 if you got your fishing pole, rod and reel and tackles, mountain bike or road bike, ATV (four-wheeler, etc.), hunting rifles, bows, or shotguns, and a vehicle to carry all that, you'll never get bored down here again. I like to fish and mountain bike down here.

  • You put the wrong football stadium on there, man. lol

  • @doctorfeelucky Lol, actually, I agree. I don't care for the Ole Miss anymore, ever since they got rid of Colonel Reb and changed their name to damn Black Bears, it's gotten pretty fake and gay. I gave up on them. Nowadays I support LSU and back home, I'd choose State over Ole Miss anytime.

  • The Tupelo Gum tree, what a beauty.

  • Moving to Mississippi in August. Needs some ideas as to what to do. It will be a big change from Alaska.....

  • @SENORCHAVEZ Not just because some YT user claiming to be an artist, without a single upload and a username that has nothing to do with who you claim to be, senor. All you have is a favored video of Caleb, and that's it. Besides, I already had to do an audio swap and your song was provided by You Tube as an alternative... so if there's someone to complain, that would be them. I didn't violate any copyright issues, sir. I don't mean to be rude, but you need to take it to the YT administrators.

  • @TheSkullzey Thanks. Yeah, what kind of test would that be? Is that for school or something? My accent can be heard in some of the other videos here as well, like "Down The Road". Keep in mind that I have also lived in Louisiana for a long time when I was a kid as well, and that I was raised by old folk, so my accent might be a lot stronger than folks in Jackson.

  • @TheSkullzey Sure, just let me know what I gotta do for you, and you got it, man.

  • @crisverstraeten Glad you liked it. SOrry it took me so long to reply, I've been through a few problems lately, rather serious ones. Anyways, my grandma is from Belgium, she was born in Brussels and live in Johannesburg, where I'm visiting her right now. I'm glad you liked Mississippi, I might be moving to Holland soon, and I aim to visit Belgium as well, hopefully I will enjoy it a lot too. God bless you too, Chris.

  • Even though I was born in Dallas, Texas and raised there. My parents are originally from Southern Mississippi in 2 small towns south of Hattiesburg. I don't care too much about Texas, but I do miss my real home in Mississippi. trying to live close to family and close to home.

  • Man, this is a great video and a wonderful musical piece. I'm from Kentucky...

it sure feels good to see our good ol' Confederate Flag there..

    Long live the South!

  • Loved it! 5 stars!

  • dam i faved this one. do u sing in this one?

  • Thanks, sir. No, that is Caleb Coffey, I believe. The original song was performed by Ry Cooder, but unfortunately, I had to swap the audio due copyright issues a long time ago.

  • what a beauty

  • There you go, folks. New audio, working fine, that's it. Enjoy and y'all have a goodin'!

  • I have swapped the audio already, but it seems like it's still processing or something. Takes forever. Also, I don't know why in the world there's an advertisement for the Feelin' Bad Blues by Ry Cooder, since he BLOCKED my video before and didn't allow me to play. If that ad ain't gone soon, I'm gonna have to report a complaint to Youtube administrators. If Ry Cooder and the Crossroads allowed me to play their song, they could ad, but since they didn't, they should f*ck off. Simple as that.

  • ... could you please upload the complete song? GREETINGS FROM GERMANY

  • Sorry, the song was too short, can't believe I didn't see that. I'm not actually uploading a new song, I am having to pick a song from the Myspace licensed artists selection, as the original song on which I uploaded the video with, was blocked by the artist due copyright claims. I just performed a new audio swap, this time the song's length is 4:17, which will suit the video just fine. The new song is called "The Rain", by the same artist, Caleb Coffey. Let's wait and see if it will work, thanks

  • Copyright issue resolved. New song titled On My Way, by Caleb Coffey - licensed to play on Youtube. Hope y'all still enjoy the video.

  • whats with the video infridgement??

    Thang U-tube

  • Always a Good Job Mike

    Thankx

    D.

  • See if you like the new song, my friend... this one is allowed to play here. Hop everything is fine your way, I'm so happy being back here after all these years missing my Mississippi.

  • Hey this is from a 80's blues movie called crossraods .. good movie to..

  • Yeahhh...u`re right man, one of the best road movies ever. Blind dog willie brown forever!! ahahahah...

  • oh sorry.. it's in the video description. nevermind.

    good video.

  • Could you please tell me what the song's name is? I love that music.

  • Im in tears a bit. I miss my mississippi too. and my pascagoula river =(

  • We are looking forward to your return MSfeller.

  • Well, now you're back there in your beloved Mississippi, baby boy...and I will be joining you soon....and I cannot wait to experience Mississippi with you..... I love you, my sweet thang!

    Love,

    your baby girl

  • nice!5*****

  • Thank you, Jeff and thanks Banjomountain. Yes, I reckon you're from North Georgia then. Mississippi is very flat, especially the Delta region, but I've been through Georgia's mountain country and to me, it was the purtiest thing ever! Been through Atlanta as well, twice. Nice, but I wouldn't live there, too big for me, hoss. But all the rest, hell Georgia is just gorgeous! I would have no problems living there for the rest of my life.

  • Well, ournationsanswer, I don't wanna get into that again. Sick of discussing this crap with outsiders. In fact I took down all my political videos. But I will open an exception just now and make it short and sweet. To ME, it represents regional Southern pride. Love and respect for our Southern homeland. SIMPLE AS THAT. Some people see it with other eyes, but they ain't me. To me, it represents the South and ALL its people, regardless of race. As you can see, it's part of my state flag as well.

  • i respect ur views and don't even really disagree with them, but in your eyes can you explain the meaning of the Confederate flag.... i would really appreciate it

  • ournationsanswer---MSfeller has the MOST beautifully sexy eyes I have ever seen........(I know that ain't no proper english, but hell, it's the damn truth!)

  • Oh I agree. It was just that my curiousity was aroused by the wife-beating one. Trust me-everyone in Ireland except me drinks like a fish, or so it seems. This is a handsome video, by the way.

  • Good video MSfeller! Reminds me of my home state of Georgia-very similar topography(south of Atlanta) and cotton fields. I'm more accustomed to mountain terrain though.

  • I'm Irish blooded. My boss even used to call me a mick, because of the red hair. Southern stereotypes also include drinking a lot and beating your wife, that of course, when you're not busy watching NASCAR while you're doing your own sister. Then you start your old pickup truck, grab a shotgun, shoot deer all day. Get home, pick banjo and get drunk out on the porch, sleep on the couch. See, Irishman, there's a lot of stereotyping. To me it's just funny, makes me laugh and some are actually true.

  • I wish I was your sister! HAHAHA! Mmm, LOVE the music on the background....It's what I'd love to just lie on a bed with my man to...and maybe even get busy...Mmmm,yeah..;)

  • Thank you, Jusnay, you are a very kind, sweet woman, with all my respects. If you plan on passing through Mississippi and spend a while, well, I love the Delta, so Greenville, which is the heart of the Delta, as we call it, is always a great place to visit. The casinos down in Gulport and Biloxi have already been rebuilt and that area is great for a vacation, just beautiful. And y'all gotta set sail on a paddleboat down the mighty Mississippi for sure! Once again, thank you very much, Jusnay!

  • We're from Wi and we're planning on going on a road trip this summer to the south. First time for us leaving the state! We'd love to visit Mississippi! Any tips would be appreciated! I love your videos! :)

  • take a drive down the Natchez trace, it goes from natches ms to right outside of nashville tenn.

  • sweeeet! 5*****

  • Greetings, noeska36, I am Dutch blooded, my dad is Dutch. I've been out there too, in the little town of Ulft, in Oude IJsselstreek, Gelderland. It's pretty close to Doetinchem. I lived there shortly, but lemme tell you somethin', what a lovely place and how the people there are nice, polite and hospitable. If you ever come down to the US, lemme know and I will give you my best Southern hospitality in retribution, you would be welcomed in my house, well, or trailer. Nog een prettige dag! :)

  • I've never been to the USA before, but if I was born in an area like the Mississippi Delta and live somewhere else now, I would sure miss it too!

Who wants to live in a big city, if you can live here? I don't!

Greetings from The Netherlands, and thank you for this great video!

  • Thanks man, I appreciate to see that other folks lover the Mississippi Delta as well, one of the most fertile soils on God's green earth and the greatest people as well.

  • For 42 years I've lived in the mississippi delta.Only place I'll ever call home.I wish other parts of these united states could see it the way we do!Great video feller.HOTTY TODDY

  • That's good. But all that inbred and racist bullcrap, well that's other folks stereotyping us. Not all Germans wear suspenders and drink beer. Not all Irish are drunkards looking for a fight while beating their wives. Not all blacks eat fried chicken eat watermelon. Not all Hispanics eat tacos. It's just stereotyping, every single ethnicity in the world has been stereotyped, and I don't see why the Southern people would be an exception. The best response is not give a damn. I don't really care.

  • This non-drinking Irishman is glad you don't believe in stereotypes. Fine production you have here.

  • Speaking as an Irishman, the only stereotype I recognise is the one about us drinking, which of course is quite true. Had no idea we had a reputation for wifebeating.

  • I was born and raised in Brookhaven, Mississippi. I love the south but I hate the fact that people think we are inbred and all the women are pregnant and barefoot rocking in a rocking chair on the front porch with a shot gun in their lap. I'm sure all the other states have issues like racism and horrible things like that but the south is just blamed for most of it.

  • I hear ya, pardner, I've been living in northern Nevada for a while, and the winter here is cold, not as cold as y'alls place, but cold enough to scare me away from here. I'm fixing to move back South and enjoy the fine warm weather and humidity.

  • southern's really no the beauty of the outdoors, i live in canada and when i get older i might move down south because im sick of all this snow, last month we got 2 feet of snow in 1 day and down to -50C

  • HAHA!

In the South, that weather would've made our governors declare a state of emergency.

  • Yes they had some good stuff down there. It takes time, but I plan on making videos about every Southern state here, and later on, other states too.

About the storm, it hit Mississippi as well, but I think nobody died, however Arkansas and Tennessee got the worse of it and the death toll is over 40 people dead.

  • I would like to see Mississippi one day, eat some of that tasty looking food and ride one of those river boats.

Sorry to hear you had a bad storm down your way. I hope you all will be alright.

    God bless.

  • Yeah, it's pretty darn cool that sound of that guitar right there! Thanks, I agree with you a 100%, the South is the promisse land!

  • i love the blues man espically ry cooder i like the swamps and i like david banner mississippi is the place to be and other parts of the south to

  • Black or white, Mississippi is a great place to be and I am glad you feel that way. Some people tend to bash the state all the time. Glad you ain't like that, pardner! How do you like that Delta Blues, that's good stuff.

  • a i might be 12 years old but i damn sure love the great state of mississippi and yes im a black kid

  • Thank you, Joanie, such appreciation for the state is really something to be admired. Hattiesburg is a lovely place, I'm sure that despite the fatc that you left a long time ago, I bet that all your Mississippi friends miss you very much! Yes lots of magnolia trees, high humidity and hot climate, but I gotta say, you miss that once you stay in a cold, dry place... I like to be all hot and sweaty, feels healthy. I'm tired of cold and snow.

  • This is beautiful! I lived in Mississippi

in the 70's, Hattiesburg, Miss. Beautiful

town, lots of magnolia trees. I only lived

there for a year, but I really loved the

weather except for the tornados. It was

so beautiful there in the winter but hot,hot

hot in the summer. I left the lst of June and

it was just burning hot! Great place,

Mississippi, great school=University of Southern Miss, great friends, I miss you all!!joanie

  • Beautiful

  • very nice!

  • I call this home too.

  • Thanks for all the compliments, glad y'all liked it. Yes, southernman, I really love the state of Mississippi, a lot. Geek92, I wish! I no longer live there and that's the reason of my blues! The Delta cuisine is delicious, and shrimp is a MS delicassy. Banjolisterine, I will make videos of other states too, including Georgia. I will also make a video with images of all 50 states, later on, it will take a while though. Thank you folks.

  • Very Nice 5 stars and favored...

    *Rob*

  • Mississippi is a good state. beautiful. unfortunately for me I havent been able to go around the state of Georgia and see the same beauty.

  • my uncle made some of thast boiled shrimp for us one time. Next time take some pictures around your place :) I would enjoy watching it a bunch more. 5*

  • that was a really nice slide show. you must really love missippi. never been there before. planing on going close towrds pring. but have a nice day.

  • I sure will, Alabamagirl! In fact, I've been collecting nice pictures from Alabama for quite a while, and as soon as I have enough of them, I will make a nice video of your beautiful state! Make sure you keep in touch, I will notify you whenever is ready, ma'am! Thanks for stopping by :)

  • Thanks for watching, gentleman. Yes, every land has its beauty, and the Southland is full of it. I'm glad y'all appreciate it as much as I do. I plan on making videos about other states too, although my heart belong to Mississippi, every Southern state is like my own state too, like Florida, for example. Great heritage, Waspnests, that's something to be real proud of! I cannot wait to one day, get back to where I belong, my beautiful Magnolia State. Thanks for watching, folks!

  • ooohh..make a video on Alabama! :)

  • Nice video Feller. You know, sometimes I wonder why people can't see the beauty of the South. I've been all over and while there are plenty of other great places in America to see and visit, nothing compares to the majesty that is the South. Man some of these pics are makin' me wanna go giggin' this weekend; haven't done that in quite awhile! Great pics, great git-tar, great production; 5 stars.

  • Thanks for sharing feller! That brings back sweet memories to me, with my family tree originating from Southern Mississippi, dating back pre Civil War. Have kinfolk buried across the state there in Fayette, Natchez, and Laurel. Several Great Uncles fought in the War in the Southern Mississippi Brigade. Thanks again for the pics!!
