  • Do people really not know what "Pearly Gates" is? Great Jam and guitar! I'm a huge BFG fan and you nailed it bro!! Keep it up! I still can't believe people think you have an actual $200,000 59' and you put Duncan PG's in it. LOL I'm Jealous!

  • Nice Tone! Can you play Brown Sugar by ZZ Top? (he he)

  • This sounds great!

  • Hey Nova, got a question. I hear the outputs on these "stock" pick ups which we all know are double cream SD on the inside have outputs of 8.0+ even on the neck, do you find it too bright?

  • your playing sounds just like mine when im just jammin around

  • pretty awesome guitar. I've been curious about the Pearly Gates pups. Nice playin also.

  • alesis came out with an hd camera for under 200 bucks, same principles as the zoom h4 handy recorder with an hd cam.

  • @creakystair You must really be bored. Go troll elsewhere.

  • does anybody how is this pickup compared to seymour duncan jazz and 59 .. I have 59 on neck but I am not quite happy. I think to change with something which has a fuller richer tone with a little more output but on de sd site all are mentioned just moderate output.

  • brown sugar yeah

  • that is so bad ass!

  • Every girl crazy bout'a sharp flamed Les Paul....

  • Good stuff!!! I like it!!

  • i like the sound, but i wouldnt change anything if i had a vintage guitar. still thanks for trying out the pickups.

  • @TeamXTREMEPANTERA Its not vintage, it is a 2009 model and these are the stock pickups.

  • Good playing, beautiful guitar, but the tone is really harsh, could use some mids... Maybe it's down to the camera... Other than that, pretty cool video.

Question, does the string-over-tailpiece wrap, in your opinion, help with bending and vibrato? 'cause that's what I've read to be the main reasons for it.

  • @Nikola85ZgCRO I think its in the camera, the tone is alot fatter and less shrill in person. Top wrapping does help with bending and vibrato because its takes tension off the strings. Some like it some dont, you just need to try it out and see. When I had 2 les pauls I would top wrap this one and leave the other one normal.

  • @LowNovaSS ok, thank you very much! :)

  • shoulda done a cover of foxy lady with that B.A. tone!!!

  • dude............... that was bad aaassss!!!!!!

  • @duran2085 Thanks man.

  • Great playing, awful tone, lose the reverb and get a proper valve head, do the guitar justice, them marshalls crap (make that most marshalls).

  • why do they not finish the current standards with that kind of burst. so much darker and different than the new heritage cherry

  • The 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard is ultimate collector guitar.

At one point in the it was being played by, Clapton, Page, Peter Green, and Townsend.

Its a phenomenal instrument, you will PAYE a fortune for today.

Slash gave 750,000 dollars for his.

The killer thing is, in 59 they made 1700 Standards.

Between five and six hundred being sold and resold.

That means that aside from accidents and smash ups there must be at least five hundred people out there who don`t know what there sitting on!

  • Some of those groupies are real dogs....

  • beautiful guitar, nice playing, and really got a chukkle @ the 4-legged crotchsniffer at 3:03!!!! keep up the good work!!

  • sure is pretty...rawk on brother!!!

  • Great playing, great rig!

  • That sounded incredible, congratulations.

  • After rereading my comment, it might have come off rude.

    I meant no disrespect.

It is a great guitar. Good for you.

    All the best !

  • Yes, nice playing.

I just don't get the guitar thing though.

It sounds like every other Les out of a Marshall.

It's all in the hands and how much you practice.

    Not the guitar.

It's easier to buy a guitar.

  • @clydestopper I absolutly agree, I'm just a big Gibbons fan that was fortunate enough to be in a position to get one of these guitars.

  • @clydestopper That's because it's a copy of the Pearly Gates, not the gate to heaven itself.

  • @clydestopper

no warmth - just scratchy treble/trouble

  • Nationwide guitar......

  • sounds sweet man! ...and the vibrato is good too, no work required just keep playing what you feel.

  • Gooood tone. Luuuuvley guitar

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing. Great playing too!

  • Nice!!! And in my opinion, your vibrato is fine.

  • @ps49Dez Thanks, I appreciate that!!!

  • Nice!!! And in my opinion, your vibrato is fine.

  • dude calm down that vibrato

  • @HMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHM sorry, didn't realize it was out of control. I'll work on that.

  • @LowNovaSS Don't worry about your vibrato, man. It sounds fine. You should probably be giving HMHMHMHMHMHMHM lessons, in the first place.
