PLEASE READ FROM MY FIRST POST TO THE LAST TIMEWISE, MEANING IN ORDER, MY LAST POST TO FIRST TO GET THE WHOLE PICTURE. THANKS
We need a general public education, without it, Bangladesh will become a country full of intelligent robots but they will never be considered people and our leaders will continue to loot the country. We will never elect people who love the country more than any material asset into office.
Engine, great post! Yes, you are putting your finger on the right spot. Ironically, the quality of education has been declining since the independence and nobody really cares. The prevailing mantra of the nation is to make money without truly creating anything. There are of course some exceptions but they are just too few to mention. One wonders what happened to Tagore's sonar Bangla and Nazrul's innocent Bangladesh? Would we ever be able to live up to their dreams? I guess, NOT!
Well, you can point finger to all directions. Nobody is totally is blameless. The best and brightest people are probably either starving or moved away from the responsibilities to make a living. You got bunch of mediocre people ruling in all spheres of Bangladeshi life. Respect and civility are not what these people value. Stealing and asking for forgiveness are the daily routines that these people follow. That creates only monsters.
Think about it, if educated at an early age, people would not have such a tendency to let their emotions take control of them; cng drivers wouldnt be charging these rates; people would have tools to fight oppression outside of rallies and violence. If our policemen were educated, they would ACTUALLY be doing their jobs. Same goes for the military and BDR.
Thats not going to happen. When someone visits Bangkok, theres a variety of things to do outside of shopping. What is there to do in Bangladesh? We have the tools, we just dont utilize them.
The only solution is education. And I dont mean book smarts. I mean general public education, so that everyone plays a part in the betterment of the society and the nation.
Why should an institution for learning be subject to politics? What does architecture have to with politics? Our population is facing an epidemic with smokers.
These are a few of the many problems that are present in Bangladesh. Whether you like it or not, all of these problems combined will never lead to any good. People talk of Jamuna Future Park being the key for turning Dhaka city into the next Bangkok, or Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore.
Dhaka city streets are in a vile condition, there are hazardous potholes everywhere. Schools and institutions which claim to offer the best education are only in it for the money. Our learned students are troubled when they are placed in a multinational situation because we fail to adopt proper English teaching techniques. We do not have electricity for atleast 5-6 hours a day. Our public universities are riddled with politics and ploys.
What I AM saying is that you SHOULD NOT generalize everyone based on a few.
Simply put, our ENTIRE system is corrupt. It is corrupt at its highest AND lowest levels. A politician loots the country while autorickshaw drivers charge mindboggling amounts for small distances when the law dictates that they shall go by meter and shall not refuse a customer regardless of destination. No one maintains any sort of rules when travelling, be it road laws, vehicle load limits, etc.
The other person has just as much a right to stay in this country as the army man. Again, this is a prime example of letting emotions get the best of you.
For Non-Bangladeshis who are generalizing an entire nation of people based on the actions of a few, you show absolutely no maturity in your statements. You call Bangladeshis animals then are enraged when others generalize all muslims as terrorists. Hypocritical no? I am not defending a race, nationality or whatever.
There are instances where someone has contradicted the armys actions or have condemned them only to face outrageous responses from someone who claims to be in the army. Notice that the person finishes each statement by commanding the other person to leave the country, town, etc. Your actions dictate others perceptions of you. How can one perceive this person of being educated when he is commanding a person to leave the country because he has an opinion?
The rickshaw puller was about to turn right onto a road, legally. It would have taken 2 seconds to complete his maneuver but the army personnel waiting for the puller to pass lost their patience. In a matter of 30 seconds I heard them verbally abuse the puller with every profane word in the dictionary. All this and the puller did nothing wrong. Why do the army or anyone in power for that matter consider themselves Gods?
Some say that when the military ruled Bangladesh during the last two years, everyone was at peace. Was it the military who were solely responsible for running the country or was there a government whom they had to answer to even if temporary? What we need is military cooperation, not military rule. The higher ranking officers may be educated but are the infantry? I personally remember travelling into an area of Dhaka city on a rickshaw whilst the temporary government was in power.
We as Bangladeshis allow our emotions to take control over every action which requires sound judgment, therefore impairing it completely. And there are examples of this in the audio recordings.
The army personnel, although their arguments are justified, are using a tone which is inappropriate in the presence of the Prime Minister. Regardless of her actions, she is an elected head of state, and deserves the respect that comes with the position.
Why do we continue to elect people into office whose main concerns consist of looting the country?
It is because we allow our emotions to get the best of us. Notice the comments posted regarding these videos. They either contain derogatory messages towards people of particular nationalities or are placing blame on certain groups/parties/people. Very few were written with a calm demeanor.
Notice that I use the word dissect and not blame. Why? We all know that the commonality in this whole matter lies with the political government. Not this one in general. How many political governments regardless of which party, have actually gone forward and have done some good for this country? And yet they continue to be elected into power so that they can carry out their own agendas. Who elects them? Its not the Pakistanis, nor the Indians or whoever. WE elect them.
Well for those who might be in doubt, I am Bangladeshi, and I live in Bangladesh. Ive seen all five videos and have read the comments regarding each one.
What people aren't doing is trying to dissect the information and trying to find out the cause of this. SO be it that justice may not be served. I repeat, it MAY not be served. But thats just something we all will have to live with. But I do have some opinions to express, you may like them or not, and it is my right to express them.
Look WTF this bastard PAKI is talking!!! hahahah!!now fucking paki's are fucked by Taliban & USA...bloody hypocrite nation..no backbone at all. By heart Taliban & also love to take USA flavour...all bastards

Qamaruzzaman's role is dubious and inflammatory. Bangladesh Army must be purged off these unruly elements who were present in that meeting, or else the head of democracy will roll on the floor again and again....civilian rule will be always at high risk as long as we are having this army.
i dont think they were disrespectul to PM. she has just gone through some grilling. she needs to go through that grilling everyday she needs understand that politics is not power it is a method to serve the country , she has taken the responsibilities of the country and therefore there has to be accountability. i wish there was griling for every action govt takes , then govt would understand that they are there to serve not enjoy power.
Given the fact that army personnel are human too and were definitely very upset after the massacre, I absolutely understand their sentiments......what I do not understand is the lack of discipline and divisiveness in the army, evident in the tapes!
The army officers were not just disrespectful to the PM, they were disrespectful to their seniors too...even to some of the survivors of Pilkhana massacre.....
PM Hasina has courage. Didn't a faction of this army killed her father in 1975? The officers definitely vented their trumatic feeling and anger. I think it is good for the overall situation and the country. Thanks PM for listening to the the officers. I think the whole session audio should have published. But when will the people stop this kind of killing in BD?
I think the Pakis can do what they like with their people. But the ey should keep the ideas to themselves.
In fact I would prey that all schools in Pakistan should become Madrassas, all women should wear complete veil, all men should grow beard, All music should be banned and they should pray in Mosque 500 times a day.
Tht is the way "forward" for this shithole called as Pakistan. The Americans have been buggering it for decades. Please continue.
I am not saying any shit about your country. The facts speak for themselves. Pakistanis come to here to UK and bring their fanatism here. A lot of them live here on the handouts from Government and still cause trouble here. Their contribution to the British society is zero. But they put a lot of drain on it and are involved in terror attacks like 7 July. You people are fighting with everyone including your own people.

- "The facts speak for themselves. Pakistanis come to here to UK and bring their fanatism here"
There are no facts for this, this is your opinions heavily influenced by the sun newspaper and daily mail.
- "A lot of them live here on the handouts from Government and still cause trouble here"
What sort of trouble? What about all the English people who cause trouble? What about the thousands who DON'T cause trouble?
- "Their contribution to the British society is zero."
Again, your opinion..

- "are involved in terror attacks like 7 July"
That old nutshell. Now I know you definitely pick up the daily scummy papers lol.
- "You people are fighting with everyone including your own people"
If by you people, you mean muslims. The US/UK/Zionist army has killed thousands around the world.
- "People can help you if you people stop being so ungrateful."
I really hope your not 69 years old as it says in your profile. It's very sad to see a gentleman of your age with such ignorance.
