I love this scene. Klingons don't stand on any ceremony; when you order food at a Klingon restaurant, they just take their hand, scoop up some worms, and splat it down on a plate.

On Memory-Alpha, I've read that the dialogue between Melora and the Klingon Chef translates like this:

"You call this live?"

"What's your problem, lady?"

"This slop you call food is the problem."

"If you don't like it, don't eat it."

"I want to see the blood running through the veins!"

I think this dialogue should've been subtitled.

Theorizing it's probably more a matter of taste than etiquette, like deciding to get both mashed potatoes and white rice as your side dishes. Having a feeling actual Klingon dining etiquette extends about as far as "backhand anyone who tries to take your food."
