actually you have it wrong, that isn't the first saber on screen, Darth Vader's was when he entered for the first time, you can see the hilt. Now if you said Luke;s was the first saber ACTIVATED on screen I'd say yes.

It looks like the Force FX Lightsabers are not very durable for dueling.

You can get them customized at ultrasabers with harder tubes for dueling, but the LEDs are replaced with a simple laser light.

If I remember correctly, Master Replicas says that you can have light battles with the swords. There are videos on youtube with battles both professionally staged by Master Replicas and made by normal fans.

I have that same Luke FX lightsaber, it works very well with spins. I noticed that the Darth Maul have a deeper sound to it, I am looking to get a Darth Vader one, does it have the same deep sounds?

Thanks again for the feedback! I really enjoyed TFU. The game has a solid, epic story and the graphics and gameplay are stunning. My only complaints are that they really should have added a one-on-one dueling mode and bonus missions with XBOX Live playability. Those elements would have made the game a true classic. I think Revenge of the Sith had a superior combat system and an awesome dueling mode which is why it's my favorite Star Wars game that I still replay :)

yeah if u take a look at the 2 sabers, the luke activation switch is on the right if u hold it down the middle while the anakin is on the left. it's hard to explain.

its based on the actual movie prop, thats why luke ep 4 and 5 are different. the prop changed i think so luke can actually fight with it

Just be careful and always check your sabers out before use to be safe. If you plan on making lots of films or getting into heavier dueling then I would strongly advice getting your sabers converted by Ultrasabers. You can see my review of their converted sabers here as well.

Hey, SonOfAdam. I bought the Yoda saber a month ago and since then I've been clamoring for another saber (and a standard-size saber, because the Yoda one is nice, but it still is a shoto). Right now I'm hoping to get my hands on the same saber you reviewed, Luke's EPIV. All in all, do you recommend it? Im not one for clashing sabers at each other, but I like to spin 'em from time to time. Or maybe I should by Vader's saber? Thanks.

I love the design of this Luke EP IV hilt and really like blue colored blades. The Maul is my favorite "dark side" hilt but Vader is a classic because of the character. Just depends on what you're in the mood for, follow what your heart! Be careful though, these things are addictive ;)

i ordered mine 3 days ago.... and now im going back and looking at the reviews and i havent seen your one or infact any that mention the creeking sound that you get from the saber. im just wondering if you can fix that in any way that doesnt not involve ultrasabers.. the reason being is that i live in england and i don't think that ultrasabers ship to england?

Yeah so I got mine and noticed the creeking.. ummm is this a bad thing. I plan on doing some dueling with it after my conversion, and this creeking is very unnerving. The toys are us i got it from is moving locations and all sales were final. SO I think i might bring it to another toys r us and say it was a gift and just give them the same tripe as always.

not to worry bro. that's just how cameras process that type of light especially when you shoot in auto-exposure mode. So yours looks as it should. The blades can be made brighter through modifications though.

yeah, I returned this one and purchased a custom one that's being worked on right now and I hope to review soon ;) Not all of this model had this creaking problem so it seemed to be a quality control issue. This model is also great when the blade is made removable by Ultrasabers! Put one on your gift list ;)

This is the Luke ANH hilt. The ESB has the rivets on the hand grip on the bottom of the hilt.

The actual blade color is blue with a hint of cyan. As I've already mentioned, I should have white-balanced the camcorder before shooting or color-corrected it afterward. Hopefully I'll do better next time. Thanks for writing.

The toughest stock, MR FX-saber that I have dueled (lightly) with is the Darth Maul which has the thickest blade of them all. But if you want to doe heavier dueling then you should get a stunt saber from Ultrasabers or have them convert a stock MR FX-saber for you.

There have been lots of reports of this issue with this saber and it has nothing to do with dueling. This has been a problem straight out of the box. But there are also owners who have reported not having this problem at all so it seems to be a gamble with this model unfortunately.

Mine dod thatin two palces today actually after light to medium dueling. Still burns plenty bright, jsut you can see hte creeks int eh diffusion part of the balde. I will probably upgrade with ultra sabers eventually, but fo rthe time being, it is still in good shape. I do predict more creeks though as time goes on.
