yeah, ok..." good ol' boys from the south"..not too racist.......Palin is "whipping up the white folks"....brilliant....apologist for all things Dem....brilliant synopsis...
Obama is as Centrist as you can get. He's not Socialist, he's not marxist, or communist. He's not stalinist, leninist, or anything absolutely insane like that. When the Teabaggers cry their poor little ole millionaire hearts out about being called 'racist' then all I can say is Shut up and SUCK IT FOOL!
do we have 3 parties now? it seems the tea baggers are scarring a lot of liberals and republicans too. the next election and perhaps a couple more. Will be a referendum on Socialism. we may be Germany 1933. I believe there is nothing wrong with the ideology of Socialism. the problem is YOU CANT TRUST LEADERS......and no, I am not slamming the president. I am saying ...power corrupts and complete power completely corrupts.
@littletopper2 Is Social Security a socialist program? Is Medicare a socialist program? Is unemployment insurance a socialist program? etc.. etc.etc,,
@Ralphdraw3 actually they are......and this country was founded with financing only one thing....military....but whatever...you think your right why am i even wasting my time
Tea baggers are just disgruntled republicans who lost and haven't gotten over it. They couldn't even fathom a world where a black man could get elected.
Not all, but many are racist who just can't move on from the past.
(You can see I have a lot to say about this subject) It may be true that Obama is not really calling the shots, or Bush, or Clinton. But as long as the corporate media remains corporate, we might never know. And we'll still have movements like this, purportedly based on substance, but fueled on fear and ignorance.
I wish, though, that the media could cover a story decently without wanting to have us glued to the TV for food/car/prescription drug commercials and the like. Just do reporting. Ask a question and listen to the answer.
@Motionedout What about the rightwing media - Fox News and Talk Radio. It is my sense (and others) that the rightwing media is driving the agenda for the Republican party and the Tea party. What is strange to me, is that there is no anger at Wall Street from the rightwing and the Tea party. Wall Street is stealing money from everyone, it appears.
@Ralphdraw3 I think their (Fox News et al.) objective is to keep the illusion of a "free market system" accessible to the greater public. Thus the call for dereuglation and "small government" (never mind an accountable or honest government). In the end, these things remain illusions because in reality, there has been a market system so established that the common person would still have a hard time competing, even without "government intervention". That's how it seems to me, at least.
@Ralphdraw3 You're right on point with those stations working for the Republicans/Conservatives. And their sponsors/lobbyists probably aren't far behind. But I'd go as far as to say that the "non-right wing" media is complicit too. They have big time sponsors to please as well. Though I'd agree that the consequences of the deliberate lies of the right wing are far more dangerous.
And maybe they're not any more or less racist than any American, but their racism sure is surfacing. They feel like they're losing power, so they're goign along racial lines. And any honest American would admit that racism is one of our default settings when we feel left out.
First of all, I haven't been to a Tea Party, so I can't speak with authority about what they are. But their timing (early 2009 rallies), especially after 8 years of Bush ignoring the constitution, is a giveaway.
I can't remember the Clinton attacks being this hate filled. It's mostly fuelled by racism. I'm not saying Obama is a good president, I don't think he is. But the teabaggers make me sick.
OBAMA'S OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT RAN BUSH. The only thing I hate is misguided ignorance. You've demonstrated that very well my friend. Go back to sleep.

Sure...Obama is not a socialist......
This from Obama's OWN website: "Socialism is Not a Dirty Word."
uspoverty.change.org/blog/view/socialism_is_not_a_dirty_word
I'm not a member of the Tea Party and it's obvious, (even to me), that Obama's a socialist.

@Ralphdraw3 Yes, these, "social programs," are forms of socialism. Am I against them?" No."
Any civil society must have "social programs," or, "employees," in order to maintain roads, parks, schools, and so on.....
Free-trade is a Progressive program, right? So, does this mean your in favor of exploiting third-world countries? Obama wants MORE free-trade, right?
