  • so like what should i do if my male built a far nest at the sight of my female so i let go they spawned 3 times that i saw, i had left her in there about 11 hours so afyer the 3rd hum i took her out, so the male stood gard, 48hours later no fri and betta gives up on his nest n leaves it, so i do a water change clean the glass a lil well i been trying to try again only he wont build a nest!!!!!! he just fucks here and swims off or he will chase her,hes only about10months old, but he wont nest!!

  • @ashtonsporedragon3 Oh! XD I have like... 40 baby guppies in a ten gallion tank with the parents sooooo =.= yeah, But I had betta like a year ago, and i would say about 10 = 5 gallions but you could probably fit more in~ ((If that makes sence at all xD))

  • @ashtonsporedragon3 Put more than one male in a smaller container????

  • Wats the mortality rate lol must be damn high!

  • How long does it take for the eggs to hatch?

  • how big is ur tank?

  • Hey!, just wondering dont the male bettas fight with each other even though they are like brothers???, then how can you put all these bettas together

  • they look like guppies

  • 0:25 is that dark red betta in the top right like the only one out of the rest that is not a Red Dragon? lol

  • mine after 1month are smaller than those

  • i think those are bettas.. not dragons

  • @vansrider904 Duh, They're called Dragon Bettas because of their coloration. Seriously your really dumb.

  • sooooo how did they turn out?

  • @fighter4111 fine... they all been sold!

  • @DuangJai99 How much money did they are fetch?!! I'm looking to breed soon :P

  • @DuangJai99 Individually or in bulk?

  • @DuangJai99 O_O all of them? there liks a hundred of the tiny things in there!

  • @DuangJai99 sold? oh so your like.. i dont have a name.. umm, just a person that buys grows and sells fish?.. thats cool.

  • When do you remove the male from the tank? And is frozen microworms okay?

  • @Asianleful 24 hours after they hatched - frys were free swimming

  • what do you feed them to make them grow fast and big?

I feed mine BBS but they grow slow.

    Any advice appriciated

  • @metalbandsrule i fed my bbaby bettas baby fish food, its a really fine powder. but maybe thats the reason why only 1 survived to be an adult.

  • @JETSTA916 okay thanks. I feed them baby brine shrimp and also mirco worms. They grow okay, but I just wasn't sure...

  • @metalbandsrule direction had been giving.. please just read next page.

  • Nice!

  • how do fish have Babies...? o.o

  • mine is two months but it is still so small its like half of a centimeter

    can anybody tell me why?

  • how did u make tat much fry

  • wow i want one lol

  • What exactly does one do with all these fish once they grow up? Keep them together still? o_o

  • @SylvieNe

I have 1000's of the 4x4x7 containers for them. Not a problem at all!

  • @DuangJai99 Where do you get the containers from?

  • @SocalDNM

online... these are just beanie display cases.

  • Wow that alot

i have got 1 betta but it died after 3 days

    Why!

  • @yutinglee1 was it the rite tempature?

it has to be in room temp

  • do you not feed them until they can free swim?

  • HOLY FUCK !!!!..... i just want like 4 babies not 1000 O_o...

  • @Kikyo361 lol, you can separate the pair after they lay a certain number of eggs. Betta birth control.

  • thank u very much,im thinking breeding my giant betta and see if i get any out of it lol. i been raising betta to fight but never breed it so thanks for all the information, if i breed and have some babies after all i'll make a video for u to watch it. thanks a lot for once again i appreciated <3

  • ok thanks for the good information i appreciated. what water temp is good for them to breed and after for the babies ? sorry if i asked too much =|

  • @bobylee20

i kept mine between 80-82 from the beginning. less than 78 will take longer for them to hatch but will be fine..... more than 84, they fry will hatch in about 24 hours and it's not good, they will not be healthy.... after they are all free swim, if you would like to turn the temp to 84, that would be fine too. the warmer the water, the faster they will grow. make sure just don't go over 86. i've heard people kept the temp around 89, but i've never tried that.

  • oh thanks for the information, so what do u started to feed them like i mean when can they started to eat when they are hatched out from the eggs? thanks

  • Hey what foods u feed them when they are babies to get to that size ? just wonder.thanks

  • @bobylee20

i feed them newly hatched brine shrimps when they are free swim up to about 2 weeks then i feed them grindal worms and brine shrimps. when they are about a month old, i started to give them chopped live black worms and crushed betta pro, but still giving them grindal and brine shrimps as some of them are still very small. when they are about 2 months, then i started to jar out the bigger ones.

  • @bobylee20

they can start to eat when they are free swim. i feed them newly hatch brine shrimp. if you feed them right away after they hatch, you will just pollute the water because they can't eat anyways. usually 36 hours after they hatch, they should be able to free swim.... all depends on the temp of your water.

  • @TheChocolateCrunchy

yeah, this is only one batch. More than 350 survived but they had been sold out. Now I have other colors but didn't have time to put it here. I always have at least 10 different colors and at least 120 pairs. Still trying to expand my drip system so it can hold more than 500 of them.

  • So theyre all together? Does that mean they develop their aggression when they reach adulthood?

  • once they are like 1 month, you need to put them in diferent tanks of 2 or 5 gallons becuase the fight when they are almost 2 months. be carefull

  • @Acsi97

thanks for the suggestion! i've been doing this for more than 20 years so sort of know what i'm doing. as i mentioned, have have hundreds of 4x4x7 beanie jars to separate them. also have several 60-220 gallons tank for the females.

  • @armando9099

i have hundreds of the 4x4x7 containers for them. also have a drip system that can hold more than 250 and a few more 60-220 gallons tanks so it's not a big deal at all!

  • you can keep females together and normally 1 male,

are the males rare because you are supposed to seperate them in different containers which would be hard. i dont think i have that many classes... what did you do after a while?

  • Cool

  • 1 spawn = that quantity ?

  • O.O .wow. O.O Alot of fishies O.O

  • what foods do you feed them according to their age? week 1-4? month2-3?

  • @DuangJai99

why do need an oxygen for betta fry ??

  • do female betta needs to eat while setup is ongoing or not ?

    please tell me anyone !??

  • @soumeii00 no...feed the female and the male betta before the setup. During the setup do not feed the female or the male, because if you feed them during the setup and when they mate the male will eat the egg and won't bring it to the nest.

  • how old do they have to be when you start to separate them?

  • from my own experience around two months if you already now thier gender..

  • Wow!!!!! so much survived?!?!?!? is this cute

  • yes, you can feed them flakes. oxygen is needed.

  • anyone from philipines ?

    i am from philipines ..

babies brine shrimp cant find here ..

do male betta need to larger the fin before they breed ?

  • im form the phil...san ka sa pinas??? you can buy some artemia or daphnia.. IBC kaba or ABA??

  • What is the best food for the fry except microworm?

  • I use only live bbs. Works well for me.

  • @DuangJai99 What's bbs? I dont know it.

  • bbs = baby brine shrimp

  • Thanks.

  • sir is artemia same with BBS?

  • Im very interested on knowing how to make a filter like yours.

I can see a PVC tube + sponge and maybe a pump inside the sponge?

  • i have a question about your foam filter. What kind of foam should you use for filters? does it release any kind of chemicals into the water? i want to make one myself for by betta fry tank but im not sure if i have the right foam.

  • is that all females

  • No, they are mixed of males and females.

  • I am wanting to start a small Betta breeding farm. Do you have any tips for me?

  • Where are you from?

  • I'm from Utah in a small city near Salt Lake called Herriman, why ask?

  • @Anomalcrazy1410 Have lots of space to seperate each male and do your research on Betta's. Apart from that, have fun doing it.

  • awesome videos!

i wish I had the room, money and time to raise so many fries!

i bred my bettas but culled a lot of the fries.

their number was reduced to only 9, which is what I have right now.

they are 3 weeks old, check my videos if you would like.

    nice job!

  • what do you do with them

  • they all been sold out!

  • @DuangJai99 sold out? who did u sell them 2 and how much did u sell them 4? and is ur tank a 10 gallon?and wat age is a betta ready 2 mate? no action from my bettas yet >.>

  • I sell these on aquabid and also locally for $20-45 a pair. that's a 10g tank but i did move them to a 30g tank after taken the vid. bettas grow at a different rate so for the faster growing, they are ready to mate as soon as they are about 2.5 months old.

  • @DuangJai99 wow thats nice. how much wud regularbettas sell 4? and meaning locally u mean like privately owned pet shops and not the big 1s like petco and petsmart? but ya i c the lil white thing sticking out from under my female but she still looks a bit slim. idk y they arent mating. i got 2 males just in case the female didnt want a particular male. but ya my males arent making buble nests yet either. i read that the temperature has 2 b at 80 degrees. so do i need a heater?filter also?

  • people around here just came and bought them. females will always have eggs. put them side by side and let them see each other several times a day, you will see that the female start showing stripes on her belly. some of the males won't make bubble nest right away so u just have to be patient. only let the female see the one you are going to spawn her with. temperature doesn't have to be 80 degrees. i kept mine at 82. the lower the temp, the longer it takes for the eggs to hatch.

  • @DuangJai99 ugh... but i hav 3 bettas. i keep a male and a female in the tank and 1 male inside the breeder(a specialized container with ridges so water can pass thru). and ya every week i alternate the males.( i never keep them 2gether)so ya... and i need 2 buy a heater cuz ive heard males make the nests at 80 degrees.

  • @lordzero545 cud u describe the horizontal lines more specifically?

  • nice breeding

  • I took out the female after they were done and left the male in there for 6 days how do I get the male out without damaging the eggs and bubble nest?

  • Wow! if it's been 6 days then your male might had eaten all the eggs or something is wrong. The fries should hatch within 30-48 hours depends on the water temperature.

  • how can i make grindalworms??

  • damn so much. why dont you just put some in a different tank.

  • My biggest spawn ever is around 900 fish

  • holy shit i need like what 100 cups lol man

  • 100 cups is not gonna be enuff... i have more than 500 and still not even enuff yet... i will need more than 2000 for all the batches that i have....*-*

  • use the ugly ones as feeder fishes for your bigger fishs lol jk

  • have fun seperating the male, lol

  • could you name in order what you fed them from birth to now?.....in general, was it difficult to raise them from birth?....is filtering necessary when they are just fries?...

  • i feed them newly hatched brine shrimps when they are free swim up to about 2 weeks then i feed them grindal worms and brine shrimps. when they are about a month old, i started to give them chopped live black worms and crushed betta pro, but still giving them grindal and brine shrimps as some of them are still very small. when they are about 2 months, then i started to jar out the bigger ones.

  • holy cow!

  • I have 1st tima bettas but all is good, father betta and mother betta don't eat eggs. now i have about 75+ bettas, it' good or no ?

  • Does anyone know why the father bettas eat the eggs after 3 days????????it has happened atleast thrice in my house...Suggestion please.....ph values were between 6 to 7 only

  • if your ph is between 6 and 7... and your male is still eating the eggs, then your male is just an egg eater. besides that, i don't know why it takes 3 days and still didn't hatch....make sure your water temperature is at least 80 degrees. should just take about 36 hours for the eggs to hatch.....

  • i need help, my male betta don't pick de eggs up after embracin n de female ate it. did i do anyting wrong? its been lyk this with other pairs too. i didt feed them durin spawnin

  • some of the male will not pick up the eggs but should be fine. you should take out the female as soon as they are done mating. and you should not feed them during spawning. also need to check you water ph.... it should be between 6.0 and 7.0. if your ph is higher than that, more likely your male will become an egg eater.

  • Why would the male just start eating the eggs becasue of the water temp?

And second, Why cant you just leave the female in there?

and 3rd, What happends once male and female are still there with there babies?

  • first of all, the male will not eat eggs because of the temp but if the ph is high, it's more likely that the male will eat the eggs.

Second, most of the female will eat the eggs and will try to attack the male after spawning so it's best to take her out.

Third, if they are doing fine together then you are ok. I always take out the female and also the male after the fries hatch. Works for me.

  • Why would the Male or female even eat the eggs for in the first place?

  • is that whole spawn from just one pair of betta? holy crap! lol

  • yes, this is only one batch. i do have other batches that are more than this one.

  • i want to breed my betta but dont knoe when the female iz ready....how can i tell...and will the male attack the female...

  • usually if you leave the female next to the male and let them see each other about 2 to 3 minutes, 2-3 times per day, the female will show stripes on her belly. then you can set up the tank and let the male in and use a clear plastic cup or something clear to cover the female inside the tank for about 24 hours then just let the female out. they should mate in about a day or two.

  • When you know the female is ready is when it has vertical line on her body and her stomach is big. And yes the male would chase and fight the female that is how the breeding way is.

  • wut size tank is this?

  • nice.

  • brine shrimp, grindal worms and chopped blackworms

  • what kind of food ?

  • my male betta made a bubblenest, when do i let teh female out? and any maintenance on the water quality?

  • no maintenace at all....u have to keep the fries in those water until they are old enough to get into those new waters

  • r u breeding any 5 star because if you are i am intrested in buying.

  • i used to but not anymore. but i do have top fighters... better than the 5 stars. i like to buy directly from thailand because the scales are tougher.

  • well where do you live cause I am intrested.

  • menomonie, wi

  • i bet u took this video in the pet store!

  • aye when do u think ur going to post up a video on ur growned up red dragon frys?

  • this batch had been sold out! I have other rare color that I think are more beautiful than the red dragon. Will post pictures or video this weekend when I have more time.

  • Thankx..i cant wait to see the pix/video...

  • WOW! it looks so trippy!

  • wow great vid! i breed myself and love the number of fry saved! i actually was sent some dragons from over seas from a buddy of mine and being that i never owned a HM especially a dragon its exciting to see the number of survived in your vid. CTs and VTs and a couple of crosbreeding of the two fin types getting combtails is all i've done, anything different with the breeing of HM's i should know? Thanks for your time

  • buy a few tanks and split them ups so theres more room. or if u keep likethis.. change the water more often. like twice a week or so.

  • thanks for the suggestion. i have a fish room full of tanks and a drip system that can hold 500 containers, but i have so many batches that i'm out of room. this batch had been jarred and then they all were sold out already.

  • oks.. thats good. u have any pictures of that brood?

  • i would like to buy your fishes..i have like 20 fighting fishes..and not breeding yet!!

  • well i live in singapore i buy 2 fighting fish but i dun noe wats their species...those in normal aquriam selling de
