As much as i love Joe, and am amused by Lycraman Vai, I have to say that Eric Johnson is the muso's muso - so unassuming - no theatrics, quietly spoken (listen to his tribute to Stevie Ray called SRV!) - and just beautifully executed guitar (a Telecaster at THAT!) - the harmonics, the glisses, well - just ALL of it!!! "Venus Isles" is a great CD.
